This did not help my acne at all, it didn't cause more but it definitely didn't clear my face. It dried out my skin a lot and the exfoliation beads were too small to do anything for my skin and it didn't clean my face or take off any of my makeup. The only good thing I can say about this is that it came with a moistruizer that had SPF 15, but even that didn't moistruize my skin very well at all.

I'm on the fence about this product. Actually, no I'm not. I didn't like it. I haven't used it in a while, but from what I can remember it didn't really do much for my face. At the time I was using this, I wanted to switch from Proactiv to something a little cheaper and more available, and this was getting good reviews. So I went out and bought it, for about $30 I think. It just kinda didn't really do anything. From what I can remember, it didn't clear much up, but it didn't break me out either, so that's a good thing. And that's probably the only reason that it got 1 lippie. Here are the pros/cons:

PROS:
- Didn't cause any further damage
- Smelled OK
- A lot of product

CONS:
- The cleanser was sticky, slimy, and weird. I didn't feel like it cleansed, and kinda just sat on my skin and left a weird film.
- The second product was OK, but very thick and left my skin feeling REALLY tight. It's a considerably small bottle, and becuase it's so thick you have to use a lot to put it on the face, so it runs out pretty quick.
- The SPF moisturizer was pretty nice, but I don't think is moisturized that well. I used something else.
- The packaging SUCKED. With these kinds of products, flip tops are better for me. I don't like having to open up all the bottles, leave caps everywhere, and then have to close them all up again when I'm done. This makes such a mess and water and everything from my hands and face ends up dripping everywhere. Plus the two smaller bottles are really thin and don't stand up too well once the product is running out, so they would fall over and knock everything else over in my medicine cabinet.

I really don't see myself buying this again, unless I get sick of Proactiv and wanna give this another go, but I doubt it. I still have the yucky slimy cleanser in my cabinet and the SPF, and that's probably where they'll remain...until they end up in the trash of course.

I have been using this system for years. Sometimes it seems to stop working and I'll have bad breakouts so I'll try something else... however I always end up back to this. I just tried Proactiv and it ended up making things worse but as soon as I switched back to this everything cleared up in about a week and I have better looking skin than I've had in a while! Its a life saver. I just wish it wouldn't stop working every now and then. Its like my skin gets too used to it or something? Anyway, the wash is nice, a little exfoliating. Day lotion has spf 15 and its pretty much the onl sfp my sensitive skin can handle. I use the acne treatment only on breakout areas, other wise it dries me out too much. Love this and will keep using it!

I have used this set of products for several years and am very happy with it. I'm a little older now (almost 27) so I don't get breakouts too much anymore, but I find this system helps keep everything even. I love the cleanser, which has just a little bit of an exfoliating element and the moisturizer doesn't look greasy on me at all. If I didn't use any moisturizer I'd have mildly dry skin moving into super oily skin by the end of the day and I find this is the perfect product to keep everything balanced.

Last time I tried to switch to a different daily moisturizer about a year ago I got horrible huge pimples, so I decided to stay with my Neutrogena until they stop making it.

I only use the Benzoyl Peroxide lotion on an as-needed basis, if I feel I'm about to break out. Otherwise I might put it on once a week or once every two weeks. I feel like if used daily this would probably work well for those with mild to moderate acne. Not a miracle, but it will help keep things in check.

I gave a point off for the packaging, only because I wish the daily moisturizer would come in a bigger size, more similar to the face wash. I always run out of moisturizer while I still have face wash left.

I think the price of this system is fairly reasonable considering you'd pay just at much for face wash and moisturizer otherwise. I just discovered today that you can get $5 off coupons on the Neutrogena website, which is great.

I bought this at the walgreens after being unable to find the better ranked Walgreens brand acne system. I was just too annoyed with my skin to go wandering around the city searching for that particular product, and besides: the active ingredients in all of these systems are the same : Sycillic acid and Benzol peroxide.

I have sensitive skin (red head) so I knew from the get go I would need to use this product every OTHER day and to buy a good quality moisturizer to prevent drying.

I use the cleanser every night, apply the acne gel every other day, I dont use the lotion/spf 15 they provided because it has more acid in it, and I was concerned about overdrying. Instead I use another Oil-free Nuetragena sensitive skin moisturizer liberally applied in the AM and PM, and some SPF 85-100 for when I go out in the sun (again, red head).

I have been very pleasantly surprised by this product. Aside from a bit of drying around my nose, I have not had any adverse reactions: and my skin looks the best it has in MONTHS. My acne is MUCH better and the tone and condition of my skin appears to be improving. And, as the label said, it worked "faster than proactive"

I will def. buy this product again.

I love this stuff! It always clears up everything and leaves me with a flawless canvas! However, i think this works so well for me because i have oily skin. I usually stick to my Cetaphil, however I am a beauty junkie and I'm always trying new beauty products, which sometimes causes me to break out. When that happens, I just turn to this great Neutrogena product and it clears my face face right up! I will definately repurchase when this runs out, however it lasts me a pretty long time.

I bought this because I had a $5 off coupon and figured for $20 (US) I should give it a go. Well, as far as the 'gets rid of pimples in two days' thing...IDK what to say about this. I guess it has (in a way) but I still have the RED spots where the pimples were before. As always (I assume) they'll disappear, but they always do when the pimples themselves subside. I guess the major thing was the lessening of the pimple 'bump'. That actually worked well for me. But if I do a lemon toner that works much the same. I may give this another go later...I'm not entirely sure that it's worth the price at this point...

I have oily acne prone skin and have been using this product on and off for the past 5 years because I like to try new products. However, this is the only face product that works like a pro. The face wash does a good job cleaning and the night cream dries face a little bit but it works in making sure skin does not break out.

During my sophomore year of high school I started to get pretty bad acne on my chin and forehead and I tried soo many different products. I tried this during the summer and the first month it cleared up my skin pretty well but I was still getting spots on my skin. Finally, my mom took me to the dermotologist and what they gave me cleared my skin right up. Im now a senior in high school and havn't had a problem with my acne since. So, if you have acne you need a doctor not some cheapy drugstore product.

I've been using this set for over two months now, and I'm really not liking it. The cleanser never feels like it rinses cleanly. The acne lotion is very thick and difficult to spread. It dries my face out horribly. Somehow, even though the spf lotion is oil free, it makes my face look greasy. The only way this product has ever decreased my acne is if I use a lot of the acne lotion, which dries out my skin too much and makes it itch. I've used salicylic acid cleansers before with much better results than this set's cleanser. Also, I hate the packaging! It's very difficult to open the screw off lids in the shower with wet hands! The tubes always get knocked over on the counter, as well. It may work for others, but for me, it's just been irritating and the cause of more acne!

This comes with a skin polishing cleanser with 2% SA, a daily sun shield with SPF 15, and a BP night lotion. At first, I washed my face morning and evening but my skin became very dry and irrated, although it cleared up my blackheads and minor acne. After the irritation, I stopped using the system all together for a few weeks and now, I'm back on it, but instead, I wash my face in the evening and use the BP lotion, then in the morning I rinse with water and put on the sun shield moisturizer. My skin is glowing and my acne is clearing up quickly. My favourite part of this system is for sure the day lotion, it's really light and awesome at controling shine. It also gets rid of dry patches. I have sensitive-ish skin, but any one with really sensitive skin should steer clear. This system is really good and I recommend it to anyone who needs help with acne. Also, I have never been so happy about my blackheads; they're almost gone! And I have had blackheads since grade six with no luck of getting rid of them until now. (=

UPDATE! I need to throw this out. It really clears up ALL of my acne. I have no zits at all right now, but it's too drying for me. I think this would be awesome for someone with oily skin, but my combination skin can't handle it.

I love this stuff ! I have no complaints! The skin polishing acne cleanser is great , although it does leave my skin a little dry i think that may be the SA . And the acne lotion is awesome too . Just a little bit of this goes a long way ! it will be awhile before I need to buy more. I do like the acne lotion more than the cleanser . it does wonders for my acne !

I have nightmares about what my face looked like after using this system. enough said...don't plan on repurchasing.

my experience:
-overpriced
-irritating whenever any of these products are on my skin
-any neurtogena lotions irritate my eyes
-no improvement in acne
-actually exacerbated the acne, where I think my face was producing even more cystic acne

that said, everyone's skin is different... you can't really predict how this will work for you, but this was my experience :(

The cleanser kinda made my skin burn as I massaged it on to my face. The overnight acne control lotion is very drying, which is good to dry out pimples, but very bad if used not on a pimple. And the SPF15 lotion was pretty nice. Used to work extremely well on my acne, but then I feel as if my skin got immune to it and now I see no difference when I use it.

at first i didnt like this product at all..it completely dried up my skin...but i have learn to work around it...

my skintype: moderate acne...mainly fight with hormonal acne, dry skin, blackheads, large pores

on the box it tells you to use the acne lotion day and night but on the website it instructs you to only use the acne lotion at night...

this is how i use it

i wash my face with the face polishing wash...
i wet my face and put the soap directly on my face it helps with slipperyness of the soap and foams up much better

the acnelotion is very difficult to rub onto your face dry so i incorporated a toner i use loreal hydrafresh toner (very nice) and when my face is still slightly moist i hurry and put on the acne lotion and it smears on nicely and evenly

*note i only use the acne lotion at night...it helps with the dryness

and then i follow with the face lotion since the spf is only 15 i mix it 50/50 with neutrogena's sunblock spf 55

at night instead of the facelotion i use olay's moisturizer after the ancne lotion...it helps alot wiht the dryness

overall it has helped my skin texture overall...alot smoother...less acne...and definitely on my blackheads...

very happy with this i'm glad i stuck with it and did notice a difference after a month

I really wanted to like this product. I am 43 and have adult onset acne (never had it as a teen), mostly hormonal, around my chin area. I've tried a lot of different products, the very best being Benza-Clin which is prescription only and costs around $125. Needless to say, I need to find an inexpensive alternative. I really like the idea of combining salicylic acid (the Acne Cleanser) with a Benzoyl Peroxide (the Acne Control Lotion) and so I decided to give this Acne Therapy System a try.

I really liked the consistency of the Acne Cleanser and it has little fine micro beads that made my skin feel polished. However, I found it to be very drying and I wouldn't recommend this as a good choice for anyone over 40. I don't dare use it anywhere near my eye area. Also, I agree with other reviewers that the cap is especially annoying. The cap twists on and off from the bottom, and the Cleanser leaks out into the cap.

The Acne Control Lotion made my skin feel very tight, again very drying. I didn't notice that it performed any better than the Neutrogena On the Spot Acne Treatment or just any good old benzoyl peroxide treatment.

I was very disappointed in the Oil Free SPF Lotion. This is supposed to be a moisturizer, but it did not make my skin feel hydrated, especially after using the very drying Cleanser and Acne Control Lotion. I had to put it on twice for my skin to feel moisturized.

The overall results after using this for 3 weeks was that my skin was dryer so I had to over compensate with a good moisturizer. It did help clear up existing acne, but not in 2 days as promised. Also, it did nothing to prevent breakouts. I think that this product may be better suited for younger or oily skin, definitely not for "mature" skin. But I think you would come out better by mixing and matching other items from the Neutrogena line that work just as well if not better.

I have very sensitive skin and tread lightly with new products. I love the Acne Control lotion with 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide. The cleanser with Salicylic acid makes me red and rashy as it did my brother (same sensitive skin). I purchase this kit for this lotion alone and it works well at controlling my breakouts.
