I generally have good luck with the classic skincare line from MK. I bought this because my skin was starting to get oily and breaking out more often than I like.
I like this cleanser because for the price, I find that you get a pretty decent amount of product. I'm sure that this bottle will last me throughout the summer and then some. I like the pearly consistency of this lotion too and how it makes my face feel squeaky clean. I usually use this in the morning when I shower and also at night to wash my face with.
Just using this product alone over the past couple of weeks has definitely helped my skin clear up. I don't believe there's any acne medication in this, but I just feel it really has helped. Will definitely repurchase this cleanser.

This removes oil off your face very well but for some reason it doesn't remove make-up at all. Try not to use this cleanser in the winter times as it dries out your skin to the point my skin started flaking. But for the summer months it was excellent.

This is by far one of my favourite products from Mary Kay. I am a self professed cleanser junkie and I could have only dreamed that a cleanser like this was out there!
It is a nice creamy, but not greasy, pearl like consistency that lathers somewhat like noxzema, and yet cleans absolutely every scrap of makeup I have on even after one go. I usually have to wash twice with any other cleanser just for my own sanity.
The bottle (and most MK products in general) is just so pretty and I love that it is a squeeze bottle ensuring you can get every ounce out of it. There is also a pump available for those who prefer that in a cleanser as well.
It has no fragrance or colors, and suits just about any skin type in my mind. I can see that it may be drying over time for someone who has quite dry skin already but for me, I swear this will be my cleanser for as long as I can buy it for. I know I sound kinda crazy but I have acne-prone skin and every deep cleanser I have ever tried either dries my skin til it cracks (Neutrogena Deep Clean Gel Cleanser) or takes more than one wash and isn't deep cleaning at all (Olay Deep Cleaning Face wash with Witch Hazel). I only use those examples as I'm sure most oily skin girls know what I am talking about!

Here are the ingredients as well, seeing as how it is impossible to find them online anywhere:

Water, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearamide DIBA - S t e a rate, Quaternium-26, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Sodium Chloride, Polysorbate 60, Diazolidinyl Urea,
Methylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Propylparaben, Chamomile Extract.

This stuff was horrible on my face!!! It broke my face out so bad and felt like it was burning it. I had huge cystic acne on my chin and tons of whiteheads after using this for about 3 weeks. As soon as I stopped using it, my face improved a lot. It took awhile to overcome the effects of it and calm my face down. I'm gonna have marks for awhile from this one. Horrible stuff.

I have used Mary Kay Formula 3 products (Cleanser, Toner, Lotion and Mask) for about seven years now and I love them. I have oily acne prone skin and these products have done wonders for me. I started using them the summer I moved from dry Utah climate to humid Connecticut climate, and they cleared up my skin right away. I've tried others (Paula's Choice, Clinique) and have come back to Mary Kay. I don't use any other Mary Kay makeup products but I think the skin care line is terrific! I will keep repurchasing as long at they keep making it.

I like this cleanser because it's gentle and does not irritate or dry out my skin. I have oily skin and have clogged pores. This cleanser does not do any miracle, but it's an effective yet gentle cleanser that I can use in the morning or night. Fragrance free and foam up nicely.

This is a wonderful cleanser! It has a wonderfully creamy, pearly texture. The smell is mild. It cleans thoroughly. It leaves my skin soft - not dried out. I agree with other reviews posted that it would be nice if it came with an optional pump or flip-top dispenser. It costs a little bit, but it's worth it.

I used this cleanser for years. I have very oily skin. This is a basic no frills cleanser. It gets makeup and eye makeup off. I still followed up with a toner to get the last traces. I switched cleanser when Mary Kay came out with Timewise. I would recommend this cleanser to anyone who wanted a basic cleanser. You can also buy a separate reusable pump for the bottle.

Wow a pleasant surprise! I ignored Mary Kay products forever but am glad I gave them a try. This cleanser is great no overdrying what so ever.A little goes a long way.Had to fight for this up on Ebay, but still saved alot, but worth the actual ten bucks through Mary Kay. Oh and by the way checkout their lipoutliner if you have issures with lipstick feathering and bleeding, another great product!(It has been replaced with a new product but you can find the original on Ebay for real cheap, paid pennies for mine why they discontinue a product that works perfectly is beyond any reasoning and worse replace it with something that does not even come close to the original.

I began using Mary Kay when I was in my early 20's and used it pretty faithfully for several years with good results. This Cleanser #3 is a great cleanser. It cleaned my skin without leaving it feeling striped. My skin was very oily back then. I always thought that the price was good for the amount of product you got and I liked the bottle that it came in also. I like the look Mary Kay's containers. Kind of understated but very pretty. At the time, I was very happy with the results for my skin. It did help improve my skin and cut down on blemishes. Keep in mind however, before I started using MK I used mostly products that I now know were WAY too harsh for any skin type (remember those SeaBreeze brand products? YIKES!). Anyway, this MK cleanser is a good one and worth the price. I have just seen even better results since I switched to Paula's Choice products but I would use this again.

This cleanser controls oil like no other, without leaving your skin dry. I always come back to this cleanser after trying others. It works great with or without the Mary Kay basic skin care line. I use the Blemish Control Toner and the Oil Control Lotion with this cleanser and my oily skin is baby soft and stays shine free all day, except on really humid days, when I need a little help from blotting sheets. Highly recommended for those with oily skin.

I really do like this product by Mary Kay. There is a pump for this cleanser. You have to request it from your Mary Kay Consultant specifically for the Deep Cleanser Formula 3 or you can order it from Ebay. I bought mine from Ebay for about $2.50. Anyway, this cleanser is great! I have Super oily, acne prone, and sensitive skin. I use this along with the Blemish Control Toner. My skin is finally at peace. I have less acne. My blemishes has cleared significantly. Most of all, the cleanser is fragrance Free. There is no itching, stinging or burning of the face and eyes. I call it the "fire face effect." If you decide to buy this cleanser, it will be money well spent.

I can't recomend this enough, its amazing what it has done for my skin in just 3 days! and its fairly cheap if you can catch it on ebay.

This is a surprisingly good cleanser. I found the words "Deep Cleanser" a little frightening (I have combo skin with an oily t-zone but also dry areas that are very sensitive and prone to rosacea). But this cleaned well without being too drying or stripping. Still I would not recommend this to really dry types. It did not remove my eye makeup as well as I'd like but it did ok in that department. And contrary to some Mary Kay products there was no obnoxious scent. This has a very light foam which may be a turnoff to those who like a really foamy cleanser. Personally I find that cleansers with a heavier foam tend to irritate my skin so the lack of suds doesn't really bother me. This actually reminds me a lot of Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Cleanser with its pearly consistency and light foaming. I would agree that the packaging needs to be updated. At least give it a flip top cap so you don't have to unscrew the lid every time.

I always come back to this cleanser. It is very gentle for my combo skin and removes all my makeup for me. I don't particularly like cleansers that are too foamy/sudsy (as they always leave me feeling as if I'm too dry ) so this is the perfect cleanser for me. If you're looking for a cleanser that is gentle so that when you put treatment products on it doesn't irritate or burn, then definitely give this one a try.

This is a very gentle cleanser that is for oily skin. I have very oily skin and this seemed to clean my skin fairly well. However, I had to use a separate cleanser to take off my makeup. Even with the makeup remover, the deep cleanser formula 3 still did not completely clean my skin. When I used a toner, I would still get a couple of cotton balls full of makeup. Would not repurchase for this reason.
