This product is better for people with oily skin. I have combination skin and was hoping this would clean my pores. It indeed do that, but for days afterwards my cheeks felt "matted". I suppose this is good, however I prefer the softness of moisturized skin. The "matted" feeling was similar to how your skin would feel after using a pore minimizer lotion. This is better in the summer, I think (unless you have oily skin).
The stinging feeling is not bad at all. Makes you feel like it's really working.

This stuff does a wonderful job of cleaning out my pores and makes my face feel so soft afterwards. I have found Queen Helene's to be cheaper and it works just as well, except it doesn't make my face feel as soft afterwards as this one does. But since Queen Helene's is so much cheaper I will stick to that. If you've got the money to spend, then try this one because it is a little better at making your skin feel so smooth. But beware, this does sting when first applied, so don't overdo it. Apply sparingly. A wonderful product, but too expensive for me.

I love this mask. It seems to sting a little when I first put it on, but nothing too terrible. Queen Helene is worse for me. I love how smooth and clear my face is after I use it. I have combination skin and I use this once a week. It works great!

At first when you put this mask on it stings like crazy. Almost untolerable. But after about 3 minutes it stops and you just have a great mask! It does an excellent job of cleaning out my pores, absorbs oil (my face is an oil slick), and gets rid of any redness or emerging zits. It's not surprising since neem is a natural astringent. You just need to get past the first few minutes and you are in the clear. For very oily skin. LOVE IT!

I gave this a shot and it worked. After the first apply, I sat with my face in my fan because it helped with the stinging. It cleaned the pores out!!!

Hmmmm, I have to say this stuff works pretty well! I agree, it stings like he** when you first put it on ... we are talking eyes watering, stinging. If you have sensitive or normal/combo skin, you probably want to stay far away from this. BUT, for those of us with oily skin, this is great. I think it stings more than Queen Helene Mint Julep when first applied, but the sting seems to go away faster. It's a clay-based mask but doesn't dry so hard that your face cracks ... just kind of dries down so it's no longer gooey, and you can wipe it off with a warm washcloth. I only use it 2x a week or so, and it really has improved my skin. It just looks smoother, clearer, more even. Again, I only recommend this for those with pretty 'tolerant' or super oily skin. If you have combo skin, you may be able to get away with using it ONLY on the T-zone. Otherwise, I'd have to say stay away. I think it would be too harsh for others. But for me and my oily skin, it's a great find!

This is a mask probably best for those with very oily skin or who really enjoy a burning/tingling sensation. I almost washed it off immediately, it stung so much at first. The sting wore off in a few minutes, however, and the mask tightened and did its thing. I think it was a bit too irritating for my skin because the next day, my chin broke out :( It could have been that it was just too strong for my normal/dry skin, as some of the others i know who tried it agree that yes, it stings, but the payoff is worth it.
