I think, or rahter, I hope this is actually working for me. My problem is that i keep picking at tiny bumps and imperfections even though my "real" acne is long gone, so i get redmarks and scars. Totally not cute. I'm always looking for products to speed up healing, bc i tend to pick more at redmarks and scabs than actual pimples - and if they heal faster, I pick less, my skin gets better = problem solved. Bought this a couple of days ago bc I've read so much about it here and elsewhere, and even though it was pretty expensive I think it migh actually be worth it.
The smell is ok, not floral or perfume-y but rather herbal and hippy. Nothing that lasts, anyway. Also, I like the way the cream feels. I was worried it would be too thin and not heavy enough to help my dry skin, but I just massage it on and it sinks in quite quickly and it feels very nourishing.
The results so far is a great improvement in the healing of the redmarks and one small scab on my cheeks. They've gone from red to slight pink much faster than normal, and they dont flake and itch like they normally do, which is a big plus in my book since the flakey-ness useually is what makes me pick. I will definitly keep using this and hopefully it will keep giving me great results.
UPDATE: It's been about a month and I've used this cream almost every day. I think I use a bit more than most people here, because my skin is pretty scarred. Still have about 1/2 jar left, I use less now than the first two weeks. But most importantly: THIS WORKS. My skin is improving daily, and I will keep using Mario Badescu products. Not great under makeup, a bit to thick for that (on my skin), but totally cool at night. LOVE THIS!

I use this at night, coupled with cellufirm drops and this combo does make my skin smooth. I have a couple of acne scars (I'm a cystic/acne picker) that have lighten with the continous use of this (I've been using this for a week or so now). And those acne scars are not very noticeable.
This is a rather heavy and thick cream for my very oily skin, and so I only reserve this to be used as a night cream.
Overall, I love this. It's a good buy for me since it helps to lighten my acne scars, some freckles on my cheeks and smoothen my skin. Will buy this again.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this product. I put some on healing acne marks, with hopes of speeding along the healing process and reducing redness. But, it hasn't done any of that for me. It seems to help though when I put it on tiny little bumps that spring up and on my eyebrows after plucking.
Also, it smells like other MB sulfur products, yet I don't see sulfur in the ingredient list. It doesn't take much product to put on spots, but I still wasn't happy shelling out the $$ for it (my local Ulta only had the large size, of course!). Yet another disappointing MB product. *sigh* :(
*UPDATE*
After this sat around in my vanity for months, if not a year, I recently broke it out again after developing some weird irritation bumps by my eyes. It seemed to help soothe that away so I've been keeping up with it, applying on tiny bumps like I did before. It's not an overnight miracle, but it does seem to help shrink them after a few days.

This is my alternative to dermatologists and their prescriptions for cortisone cream. I have combination skin. I am prone to cystic acne, but I also have seborrhea (a type of eczema that causes red and flaky skin). Together with other MB products (drying mask and buffering lotion), I have not only been able to control the acne, but also to get rid of any irritation and redness. This stuff really does heal my problem skin! (I had to take a star away because the price is a little high for those of us on a tight budget. However, it's still cheaper than a dermatologist visit, and it lasts a really long time, so it's worth it for me.)

this works great as a moisturizer at night time, especially after doing any types of extractions on my face . It takes away redness and calms my skin down completely, I will repurchase this for sure. Ive never tried a product that was able to calm my skin down like this, its amazing . I dont use this every night as its pretty heavy and im afraid it will clog my pores, but 3-4 /week is perfect for me! Works great under makeup too, in those red areas.

I've been using Healing Cream for about 5 or so years and I still LOVE it!! Whenever my skin is blotchy or if I get pimples (I rarely do) I just wash my face and then apply this cream and the next day my skin is clear!
I have oily skin, but this cream doesn't clog my pores. However, it is thick and can feel unconfortable in the summer, so I normally wear this cream during bedtime. Will repurchase!

LOVE. I am 28 and have struggled with acne for a while. It has been a bitch to get it under control. The worst part is that my breakouts are red and I am a damn picker. I try my best not to... but I mess up when frustrated with my skin. Anyways, this stuff friggin rocks. I use it on any breakout/blemish/scab and it soothes, reduces redness, and for real speeds up healing time. I usually have hyperpigmentation that can last a while and I used this on a freshly messed with pimple and it is healing without a dark red mark. I have had no irritation or additional breakouts from this and I PILE this on. Like a gob on various marks before bed and sometimes I use a thin layer over my whole face. I actually think it reduces blemishes better than the drying cream which tends to not be too effective for a lot of my breakouts. The healing cream's main ingredient is Balsam Peru which is apparently an antiseptic. I can't use benzoyl peroxide, it destroys my complexion and drastically ages me so I need nourishing and soothing stuff. This is prob my number one product I am using now. Not too crazy about it being in a pot but you need so little I don't know how else they could package it. Any pump would just distribute too much. Anyways, I bought this in desperation after messing with a zit on my cheek and it's the best purchase I made in a while.
*EDIT* -- Still on the same pot (11/26/11) and still love it. It is just so moisturizing and effective.

I've only finished my tub after a year! I use this mainly at night on target areas. You only need a little bit. It is a little hard to spread as it's quite creamy but I find that if you apply straight after toner it spreads far better. I have a bad habit of squeezing spots and I use this after I have cleansed/Toned and it helps calm my skin and visually reduce the redness as it has a green tint. By the morning my skin has no spot and quite nice. It helps reduce scars also. Sometimes I use it during the day when I feel a spot coming along. It didn't break me out so thats another good thing! So overall I am happy with it as it worked and I would recommend it :)

Really works to soothe any redness on my skin. I've nearly emptied my first jar which I bought nearly 2 years ago, and will be repurchasing. Doesn't make me break out at all. Love it.

I really like this! I have extremely sensitive, rosacea, acne-prone skin and this does a great job of soothing irritation! (which I used to get very often!) It is also great on a zit you may have accidentally picked (bad, I know) as well as calming down small broken out spots. Unsure if this would do much for cysts, but worth a try! I use this in combination with MB control cream everyday. I put a very thin layer of healing cream all over my damp face, then follow up with another light layer of control cream. It helps my face to remain clear, and not irritated. Love!

I don't really have this major acne problem on my face, occasionally i get breakouts when am stress or during periods. I've got an oily and acne prone skin, so i've decided to find a product that will just lessen the oiliness on my face and prevent pimples at the same time.
After days of researching and reading reviews about acne products online i have had decided to try Mario Badescu acne products treatment because of the good reviews about it.
At first, I tried their Enzyme Cleansing gel and drying cream.
The drying cream didn't actually dried my acne but instead it clogged my pores!
So i thought i must have bought the wrong medication, then on my second trip to the shop i bought:
- special cucumber lotion
- buffering lotion
- healing cream
I have been using the products for a month a half, but it just makes my face worse!!! I never used to have a huge cystic acne but when i used their product my pimples just never seems to stop!
Im not even half of the products yet! I stopped using the product for 3 days now, coz it just make my face getting worse and worse!!
I swear, i really regret buying their product the fact that it's so expensive and it's not even worth it!
Will not recommend Mario Badescu Acne Products.

It has a yellow/green color, a creamy consistency, and takes a little work to blend it into your skin. I would NOT suggest using this all over your face. Only work it into scabs. Hence, it's a great product if you are a "picker" of acne. Otherwise, this is not for you.

I was so excited to try this. Bought a half ounce tub to try out. The consistency is thin but creamy, and it smells very clean... sort of reminds me of baby wipes. The cream is a pale yellow, however there are no dyes. I used it for about a week and a half before realizing that it was breaking me out. I would wake up with little whiteheads wherever I applied this. It's a shame, because it felt so moisturizing, and it was kind of expensive. My skin immediately began healing once I stopped using this. Oh well.

I have oily/acne prone skin, with red pigmentation around my nose area and have suffered from flaky/dry acne spots. This product is absolutely wonderful, it reduces the redness and really helps with those nasty flakey/dry pimples that no amount of foundation can help cover. I dont know about the 'healing aspect' i havent noticed my acne scars improve alot, but overall its great for redness and flakiness and a bonus is that it gives my skin this glow/healthy appearance ive never experienced with any other products. Its a yellow/greenish colored cream, its pretty absorbent and easy to blend into skin, the smell is very mild, i just put it on before bed all over my face ~

I would buy this product over and over again! Love it! =)
My oily, sensitive skin is prone to acne caused by stress, that-time-of-the-month, and weather changes, and it has absolutely the worst ability to heal itself from blemishes and acne. Blemishes stay for weeks and take a LONG time to fade, and I've also got a lot of redness from irritation to products that drove my skin crazy rather than helping it. So if you have the same kind of skin as me, maybe this work for you because I've tried a LOT of skincare lines and finally MB is the one that works.
I got the Drying Lotion and Drying Cream first and it dried out most of my pimples but my blemishes didn't seem to improve much, so I got the Healing Cream, and wow, it worked so nice! After the first time of using it, most of the redness went away, many blemishes healed up on my forehead! It's incredible. I never saw visible results after using a product just once. I'm continuing to use this, and my skin, after just one week (and counting), has evened out on skin tone and all the redness is gone. There are still a lot of blemishes left to be healed, but in time I'm sure they'll all heal up.
But guess what? I got a secret weapon against new blemishes ;) The only quirks to this product is that it's yellow, a "little" bit gritty here and there, and it smells like ... Play-Doh.

I had some little "rash" sort of thing on my face... like 3 big ones... I put the healing cream on and rubbed it in, next day, I couldn't see anything there!! Miracle. However, one day, I got this really gigantic cystic pimple on my jawline. I've never gotten one such pimple before and it was so painful. I applied the healing cream on it and nothing happened for like 5 days... it was still big and painful and even now I have the scarring from it. Instead, I used Origins "out of trouble" mask as a spot treatment, which helped heal this much faster. I do use the healing cream as a moisturizer sometimes and it's great. It makes your skin look less red, blotchy and just smoothens it out. I also have very sensitive feet and get really bad, blue-black blisters from new shoes. I use it on my toes and it seriously does the job!!! Kid you not. I would buy it again, because it's a handy sort of thing to have all the time...but it's just so expensive for that amount you get! And the packaging is just not convenient.

I love this product, it really helps get rid of redness and this really helps with healing. I have only used this on spots that I have picked at already. This helps heal them so quick and it reduces the redness instantly.
I would put this on a spot I picked at over night and when I would wake up it was almost all the way healed.
I honestly rarely get pimples though, I get small ones once in the while. I have a bad habit of picking though and this product is perfect for healing those small picked at pimples. I don't know how this product would do against bad acne/pimples.

What is claims: Prevent acne scars with this sulfur based cream that speeds up the healing process of red, irritated, acne erupted skin. Balsam Peru helps protect delicate, healing skin while it soothes and minimizes redness. Its healing properties work immediately on acne prone areas preventing minor pimples from becoming inflamed. Oil-free formula.
Is it true? ---
PROS: I've been using this product for more than a month. Love the smell, love the texture as a moisturizing cream. I use this daily for night time.
CONS: I did not experience speedy healing process for acne scars or reducing of redness for pimples. In my experience, it did somehow prevented minor pimples from becoming inflamed to a certain extent. However, the key word here is 'minor', so the cystic big red pimples are still unstoppable if they are so eager perform..
I feel that there are better products out there. Although I really liked the way it smell, but I have to be rationale in terms of effectiveness. Therefore, I will not purchase this item again unless I have spare cash.
My skin type: Combination, oily t-zone and cheeks are prior to drying/flaking if too much harsh products are used.
Ingredients: Balsam Peru,Polyglycerylmethacrylate (and) Propylene Glycol,Herbal Extract,Bismuth Subgallate

I think this cream is better at reducing redness and irritation than at healing bad pimples. To tackle bad cystic spots, I would use the drying lotion. It feels more gentle to the skin and doesn't dry it out as much as heavy duty spot zappers.
