Best eye shadow- lasts forever and is so silky and easy to apply. I got the golden/rust/walnut bronze and the combo is so pretty with blue eyes and so easy to apply, you can't hardly goof it up cuz it blends so well. The case is is a little hard to open, but I've been able to overlook it

I got the TS15 trio (Aloha, Mink Brown, Deep Bronze). The first two shades are very sheer, but all together, they work for what I wanted them for - daytime colors that don't make me feel too made up. Nothing special or pretty about the packaging, but case feels pretty sturdy. I will definitely try more NYX trios after this!

For all of you who say that the eye shadows don't last I would recommend you use a primer or a base and see if that helps. I really like NYX eye shadows and products in general and would hate to think that some of you can't enjoy because they are really good.

I have baby pink/white pearl/baby blue, to me the color payoff is not great. The shadows are incredibly sheer and what color did show up didn't last long. I also found them to be chalky and every time I would open the case eyeshadow would *poof* everywhere.

NYX eyeshadows definitely give you a good colour payoff, and the price is right too ($9.99 CAD per trio). It's a little disappointing that due to limited availability in stores, you have to buy a trio to get certain colours that are hard to find on their own, but ordering online (ie. Cherry Culture) solves this problem.
I bought my first trio in Tropical/Yellow/Lime Green, which contains a bright corally pink, yellow, and green, all with slight shimmer. This trio in particular is pretty bright and dramatic for a daytime look on my fair skin, but I am excited to try this when I need a good "going out" look. I don't think I will ever use the yellow shadow (and I don't know if anyone would actually look good with yellow shadow), but the green and pink definitely make the green in my hazel eyes POP.
I also bought the Golden/Rust/Walnut Bronze trio. Golden and Rust are exactly the colour that their names say, and Walnut Bronze is a taupe with lavender undertones. The colours are all gorgeous, but I was trying to figure out how I could wear them on my fair skin. It turns out, Golden makes a wonderful, natural looking liner for day time, and Rust gives my eyes that pop when used as a liner for dramatic looks. However if I had medium to dark skin, I would wear them just as lid colours, because they are so pretty. I haven't figured out yet how to use the Walnut Bronze, but it would be an absolutely beautiful lid colour on medium to dark skin tones.
I definitely recommend buying a trio or two, because they are high quality, and the colours are so pretty. :)

I bought my first trio in hippie chic and i love them especially for the price! They are a little sheer by themselves but i use the nyx jumbo pens and the color payoff is great! the packaging is really cute and durable. Its travel sized but i usually just leave makeup at home besides lip glosses so that doesn't really concern me but its good to know i could take it out. I like the little mirror that has a bit of magnification. The only problem with these compacts are that the shimmer gets everywhere and the fallout go all over the place. Its not too hard to deal with and the price is great so its not too much($4.50-5.50) to complain about. I got mine at cherryculture.com and i had 20% off everything a while back. These eyeshadows are a must have!

I purchased the 3 color palette in Rock & Roll. This palette comes with a beige highlight, a really nice taupe (like satin taupe), and a deep navy color (all shiny). This is my first nyx trio eyeshadow and i have to say i'm quite impressed with the quality. The colors are very pigmented and have a silky finish. I have oily lids and even with primer my shadows creases after 4 hours, this is no exception but that's ok. I really like the packaging compared to other drugstore brands. Its got a nice sponge applicator and mirror. I got this on sale for $8CAD and if anyone can tell me where I can find nyx in Canada besides Save-on Foods please let me know! I'm definitely going to try more palettes.

These are HORRIBLE! The colors are pretty in the pans, and actually go on allright, but they disappear within an hour. They look nice at first, and aren't too difficult to blend, but the color fades FAST! Don't waste your money. I would just save up and buy a quality eyeshadow rather than lots of cheap crap like these.

This review is for the NYX Trio TS21 or Copper/Rust/Bronze. I've had this little set for over a year, but have rarely worn it. Now that it's almost fall, I took a second look today. I think the trick is not to try to create a crease and lid look, but to blend all three shadows together. I used my UD Primer first and it gave the powder a good base to cling to. I feel pretty sheepish about not blending the three to begin with, but that's what MUA's reviews are all about...discovery! This one is a winner for my Dark brown hair/eyes, NC40 light golden tone.

The NYX trio I bought was the orange, yellow, and green combo. I admit that the colors are well pigmented and the price is great. On darker skin like mine, the colors do not show as well so I have to pack on a bit more.
Overall, the product is pretty good and you get your worth.

The color range for the eyeshadows are good, but the color pay off of the yellow and the orange in this set aren't very good. you really have to pack it on to see color. I've heard that different colors have different color pay off, and pigmentation. the packaging is simple but really nice. overall, you get what you pay for. the product is inexpensive, and a good starter for someone starting to experiment with makeup.

I have this trio in white, gray and black. I also have the 'For Your Eyes Only' palette in Sexy Blue Eyes. This is the first time I have purchased any NYX eyeshadows. My first impression of these was that they smelled bad. They smelled like heavy chemicals. You can't smell it if you're just applying them, but if you lean down and smell them purposely, you'll definitely pick it up. However, these are nice especially for the price that you pay. I wouldn't compare them to MAC because in my opinion MAC is better, but they are good shadows for someone more on a budget like myself. The color payoff is good; they are pigmented, but I am not too fond of the finishes and the blending capabilities. I think that is where these fall a little flat.

Ok, so I am IN LOVE with the NYX pencils (the fat ones) and the single e/s - but I was underwelmed with the trio :( I purchased TS10 which is the yellow/tropical/lime green trio and although they are highly pigmented (and I love the colors), I didn't like the way they went on. I applied them over my regular eye cream, Urban Decay Primer Potion (the regular one, not the colored ones), and the NYX Milk as a base....I had to wipe off all of my hard work because the end result was crepy (crepey? sp.?) and made my eyes look much more wrinkled than usual (and they're not that bad - yet).

I will try again, without using the pencil first and see what happens, although I do it that way all the time with my other eye shadows and no problemo.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet on these trios as I'm impressed with other NYX products, but be advised that they don't *play well together*, lol.

On the advice of a fellow MUAer I tried NYX because they are similare to (and a fraction of the orice of) BeautiContol's Mineral Eye Shadow trios.

Well, They were right! What a value. Great products. Nice colors. Blendable. Will repurchase.

Ok, so I've started experimenting with eyeshadows, something I've always been "afraid" of because I've seen too many people who use it but should have also been very afraid . . . LOL Anyway, I've been searching around for decent quality, yet inexpensive shadwos to "play with". I bought a couple of these trios based on the MUA reviews. The ladies here know their makeup! Plus ULTA was having a Buy2Get2 deal. I don't wear much makeup but I can be a snob about that which I do wear and hate poor quality cosmetics. However, I don't know much about shadows other than: the color should show up (for me that's sheer and not sparkly) and the powder should be smooth and soft enough to apply/blend easily and durable enough not to crease (I have oily lids). Well NYX surprised me totally! They are everything I expected and needed it to do! Price, Selection, Quality! (I tried ULTA brand and promptly returned them-too stiff). These are soft, creamy, go on smooth and are blendable. Some are too sparkly for me and I couldnt really tell if they had any matte but they have plenty to choose from that are not over the top "shiny". I highly recommend these as an economical alternative to our beloved high-end brands but don't skimp on your tools. Drop that spongey thing they include and get some "real" tools. Otherwise they are GREAT and have the coolest color selection (from basic everyday neutrals to wild, fun and funky). I will definately buy again.

I adore NYX's Trioshadows to no end. They're so pigmented, the color pay off very well, there are matt and shimmery colors, lovely for blending, great for anything and everything. Honestly, for such a cheap price you can't find any better eyeshadows!

I really enjoy my NYX eyeshadow trios. On first glance, I was VERY impressed by the packaging! The cases the eye shadows sit in are very chic and look like a high-end studio brand (actually, it's nicer then most!). Most of the eye shadows I've gotten from the trios are very pigmented, but there is the occasional light pastel that needs to be layered on a pit to really get it's full color. For $7.99 I couldn't ask for a better eye shadow! I put them right up there with some of my MAC shadows!

Reviewing these is difficult ... the packaging is excellent, the pricing is excellent and the colors go together nicely most of the time ... they are very good when judged on their own merits, and they blow away all other drugstore brand eyeshadows ... BUT, they are weak competition for the nyx single eyeshadow pots, and they definitely won't compare to high-end cosmetics. They wont last that long nor look that vibrant without a base, and they typically aren't very soft but still supply you with plenty of fallout upon application. They aren't even particularly cheap for the total product anyway; I sat down and did the math - you get more product of better quality by buying all three single eyeshadow pots than what you would get with the singles, even if you do pay more ... thus the 3 rating for price. The colors in the trios don't always line up with the color of the singles, and sometimes, you will only get. 1.3 grams of total product in the trios, as compared to 3 grams with a single. This doesn't happen with all of them, but I have been dismayed to find that some of my trios contain a lot less product. The fact is worsened once you realize that I payed more for the trio than I did for a single, so make sure to check the bottom of the packaging before you buy, you may be overspending without knowing. I wont tell you to not buy them, but you wont be very happy with them if you have spoiled yourself on the single eyeshadow pots or higher-end eyeshadows.

i love the NYX Trio's because theyre such good quality! The colors are gorgeous, the pigmentation is awesome! Best of all they're dirt cheap. You can get the trios on different sites for 4 to 5 bucks. They're pretty large about the same size as the MAC eyeshadows. These NYX trios are perfect for those who are new to makeup and want to get some practice before they purchase more higher end makeup or even for those who want to make their make up collection larger.
