I liked the smell and taste but that's about all. These lipsticks seem to go on kind of dry, almost like a pencil. While the color was long lasting, the lack of moisture caused some amount of peeling on my lips.

I love Aveda! And I love the way these feel and look on my lips. Nicely scented, and you can feel the aromatherapy on your lips. Lasts throughout the day for me, without much bleeding. A perfect sheer satin finished look. Quality of the packaging is excellent, very high standard.

I have this shade in rosewood/bois de rose. The color is somewhat dull and hard to work with. It shows up as a dark rose with some brownish under tones. The color makes me look drained out. The scent is woody and when applied, it has a tingly sensation, like mint would feel on my lips. Not sure if this is a plus, because it can get annoying after the novelty wears off. Also, this lipstick is also surprising drying. Even with lipbalm, the lines on my lips show up. However, it does not fade off too badly after a meal, a decided plus to a mostly disappointing experience.

the SA told me these would freshen my breath. i don't see how. it did have a strong, but not unpleasant, scent/taste and the pigment was rich and even. which is what any lipstick worthy of the name should be.

I love Aveda lipsticks. The texture is soft and smooth and there are some great colors to choose from.

The only redeeming virtue of my recent, disastrous Aveda makeover (a first for this line in my experience). This is a beautiful neutral medium rose, perfect for daytime. I have a lot of trouble with pinks, berries and plums—they all seem to turn Fuschia on me—but this one looks wonderful.

I love Aveda lipsticks! I love the smell (licorice) and the thick consistency. I find they are well pigmented and moisturizing. The only thing I find is that they clump up with color a little bit.

I love the scent of these... but it is hard to find a good color match. Some of them are nice and sheer, others a matte... I like the sheer ones better, as the matte ones are a teeny bit dry.
