Huge waste of money. The packaging is elegant and the balm smells wonderful, but this does absolutely nothing for my lips that I couldn't get from a tube of chapstick.

Best Lip Treatment I ever used. Living in the desert (NM) I need intense moisturizers all over, including my lips.

I tried everything in the market: chapstick, softlips, carmex, blistex, nivea. All trash worthy, too expensive because only aggravated the dryness, instead of minimizing it. Only resources I had were Burtsbee, Avon Renew lip saver and Neosporin Lips night treatment, but still, not as strong as they should be.

I would have never tried Fresh liptreatment if it wasn't for Sephora birthday gift. Although the Rose one is very ordinary, the neutral one is fantastic and keep my lips highly moisturized any time of the day, and perfect to sleep with.

Contrary to what I read in other reviews, it doesn't melt easily. Last summer I had it in my pockets all over New Mexico and Colorado, and they stayed intact, with no loss of quality. Also, if you open only enough to apply on your lips, it won't break. (Why would anyone need to open it all the way to apply? Just in need to complain it breaks easily, right?).

Expensive? Yes. Is it worthy? Totally. Can one find comparable quality on cheaper brands? I never did. If you know of something, pls leave me a message. I can only tell that I'm very happy to spend $20 plus for something that actually works, than spending $3 for something that will ruin my lips (and looks).

Highly dislike the masky layer it leaves on my lips. Often find it leads to my lips pealing from excess hydration. Yes-easily fixed by exfoliation but leads to a bad cycle of lip pealing. Not good. Don't enjoy any of the Fresh products featuring sugar. The polish leaves me with the same feeling on my face...

This review is for all the shades in the line. I also uploaded a picture of swatches as I have all 7 shades.

The Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments are one of my favorite lip products. They're addicting and once I tried Rose I had to have the entire line (7 shades total). They are marketed as tinted lip treatments but are more like lipsticks that are very hydrating. Many similar products (such as the Korres Lip Butters and Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters) claim to also be sheer, hydrating lipsticks but these are by far one of the best products in that category in my opinion.

These are a bit expensive at $22.50 a piece. I hear many people say, "I could never pay that for a lip balm!" and "The Revlon Lip Butters are the same and much cheaper!" but that's just not so. When you see these as a lipstick rather than a balm it is much easier to justify the price. They act as a lipstick, balm, and gloss all in one and really do hydrate my lips as well as any balm I've tried. I too thought they were overpriced but then I tried them and just fell in love. They have become one of my everyday, go-to lip product. There is an excellent (yet small) range of colors so at least one of these goes with any look I do.

The Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments also have the most amazing smell. To me, it smells like lemonade but is not overpowering at all. It's just a very clean scent. They wear for about three to four hours before I need to touch up which is about what I expect from most lipsticks. The packaging is also great. The cap actually twists on... So no opening and melting everywhere in your purse or pocket. The case is also quite heavy and substantial unlike many lipsticks. None of these have shimmer or frost which is a huge plus for me. Many of the Revlon lip butters were too shimmery and gritty for my liking but these just have a lovely glossy finish. Some of the shades are more pigmented than others and I will note that in the shade descriptions below.

One thing I really love about these is the shade range. As a said above, the shade range is small but it covers most color families (nude, pink, peach/coral, red, berry) so one of these will go with just about any makeup look you do. The colors are all also very wearable. For example, many nudes are often too pale but Honey is a touch darker and peachier to make it wearable. Many reds are often too dark or bright but Passion has just a touch of pink to make it more flattering and less jarring. They are great "starter shades" for people who are afraid of certain colors because the shades are sheer, wearable colors.

Plum
Plum is a really pretty deep browned berry shade. Great for fall and winter.

Passion
This is a red that leans rose/pink and is just a few shades deeper than my lipcolor. If you're scared of reds, this is a great starter shade.

Rose
It is the most sheer shade in the line and is a pretty medium pink that's very "my-lips-but-better".

Coral
This is a medium coral/red with a touch of pink and is perfect for summer.

Honey
It's much more of a mid tone peachy brown than a nude.

Berry
Berry is a lovely pinky berry that is one of the more pigmented shades in the line.

Petal
This is the newest shade. It is a mauvey pink MLBB shade. It's very wearable.

A friend gave me this product as a gift. While I must confess that the metal tube is quite pretty and sturdy, this has got to be one of the biggest scams out there for an over-priced lip product. I checked out the Fresh web-store and saw that this costs quite a hefty chunk of change. Then I looked at the ingredient list. Sadly, none of the ingredients provide adequate SPF protection, and the addition of citrus ingredients, which are known photo-sensitizers, seems utterly counterproductive in a cosmetic formulation. They really dropped the ball on this one. Basically, you are paying for a pretty package. The formula itself is too slick and slippery to last very long, so the moisturizing effect is minimal as well. Just totally shocked by this product, and not it a good way.

To me, everything about this lip treatment screams that it is an expensive dupe of the eos Lemon Drop lip balm. This one is about $22.50 and the eos is about $3.99.
The scent, the way it feels on my lips, everything (except the taste; this is waxy, eos tastes a bit citrus-y) is exactly the same. I am glad I didn't pay for this (thank you Sephora for the birthday present last year!).
I will be sticking with my eos for life :)

Count me as another who received this as a gift from Sephora. I would have never tried this otherwise, as the price seems quite ridiculous.

On the positive side, I love the fragrance. Lemon is very pleasant to me, and this is a light, fresh lemon smell. The packaging is wonderful. Attractive and sturdy and practical. The performance of the product itself is just ok. It seems to moisturize a bit, but it just doesn't stay on. I can't use it as a bedtime lip balm, because even if I wake up after just a couple of hours, it has worn off.

All in all, I just don't find anything about it that warrants the price.

Like most people, I received this product as a birthday freebie from Sephora. I like how it is soft and very easy to apply as it glides very nicely. However, after applying it, I find that my lips shed too frequently and it looks a bit gross that my skin is coming off. I feel that I need to constantly wipe my lip as it continues to shed. Some people may say it's a good thing as it is exfoliating my lips, but having it peeling the majority of the day isn't my cup of tea. I'd always get the white skin on my lip which looks a bit gross. Because it keeps shedding, I feel that I need to continue re-applying it, which makes it feel like that my lips are not moisturized. I can peel my lip skin with my teeth too which is not very attractive. For a freebie, it's not bad, but would definitely not pay the price for this product.

I enjoy the lemon meringue smell and love the sleek packaging. The product itself is soft and moisturizing but it didn't seem to have any significant lasting effect on my lips that merits the price tag. The softness of the product also becomes an issue because it is in a tube as it fell apart, especially near the bottom. It just wasn't worth the price tag to me.

Love the packaging! Although I would imagine the balm would very easily melt in the summer because of the tube. Has a really nice lemony scent and goes on smooth. Very moisturizing and good lasting power. The biggest and only downside? the price. Not worth that kind of money. You can find an equal or better lip balm for a much lower price! If you'd like to try it out, sign up for Sephora's Beauty Insider club and you'll receive it as a birthday gift.

One thing I have learned Bout fresh lip treatments is that if your lips are dry you will experience Shedding. Because these treatments contain sugar your lips will automatically shed any dead skin they have built up. Sugar is a natural exfoliant. This is a good thing because After some time they will always be baby soft. Don't mistake the shedding for flaking . Big diff.

Overall, this IS a really good lip balm. It moisturizes my lips and it's been a life saver for my chapped lips during the winter. It has the perfect texture I'm looking for when it comes to lip balms. It's not too greasy nor too waxy. It also has a really nice lemon-y scent that I love. HOWEVER, the only complaint I have about this is the ridiculous price. It's a good lip balm and all but not $22 good. There are drug store lip balms that perform just as well.

This has a slippery texture with a lemony-sugar scent. Keeps lips moisturized fairly decently. I love the packaging! You have to unscrew it out of the metal tube before you can use it...this keeps it from twisting itself up and mashing into the lid while traveling around in my pocket. Genius!

Pros: Goes on smoothly; gives good protection to chapped lips

Cons: packaging is cheap and awful- twist up broke after a week's use, it melted in the metal container and broke down; doesn't wear long and not thick enough for inclement weather; the price point is downright unreasonable.

I got a free sample of this stuff at Sephora for my birthday. Thank god, because now I know never to waste money on a full-sized version.

As a lip balm, this product is very mediocre. I know most people probably aren't looking for heavy-duty moisture/relief and protection, so I think it's decently moisturizing for normal purposes. I prefer something else for the winters here, which are cold, dry, windy, and merciless.
However, this product is too expensive for something that's so...basic. I have been searching far and wide for the perfect *matte* lip balm, and this is definitely not it. Additionally, the stick is very soft, like it would probably melt under higher temperatures, and it moves around in the tube while I'm applying. It does smell nice, a subtle lemon scent. Reminds me of CO Bigelow's lemon lip balm (which I'm also not particularly fond of); the lemon lip balm doesn't have SPF, is a bit grittier and greasier, but also not as soft/melty and only costs about $7!

In summary,

PROS:
- smells nice
- nice tube...probably why it costs so much
- ..........

CONS:
- shiny lips!!! I absolutely HATE this in a lip balm; if I wanted my lips to reflect so much light, I'd buy gloss!!!
- stick is VERY soft
- tends to sit on lips; doesn't fully absorb
- the rose-tinted version had almost no color payoff (and my lips aren't at all very pigmented)

This is a nice product. It moisturizes my lips well, and feels good on the lips. The scent doesn't bother me personally. However, this balm is quite melty, so it's hard to take it on the go. Overall a good product, but I don't think it's worth paying ~$22 for 4.2g?(I think).

I love love love this "lip treatment". It has such a fresh and delicious scent. This particular one is lightly scented and colourless.

I find that it instantly soothes and hydrates dry/chapped lips. I got this from Sephora in a duo pack (for free - it was my free "birthday gift"...which was awesome). I find that this product is on the pricier side $22.50 CDN for 0.15 oz.

I also have the Sugar Rose Tinted one as well - I love this one EVEN MORE! It adds a subtle pop of colour.

If price isn't an issue, I would highly recommend this product!

Like everyone else and their mom I got this, along with Rose, as a birthday gift from Sephora. After cashing both tubes, I can see why people like it so much. It's like Fresh took everything about applying Chapstick, and was like, "how can we make every step in this process more awesome, nay, the awesomest?" If only they weren't so prohibitively expensive....

Pros: Smells amaazing, moisturizes well. Feels good on the lips. The tube is super luxurious looking.

Cons: It can get a little melty if you take it south of the mason-dixon line in the summer. And, don't twist up too far because it will break and you will lose a $6 chunk of product. (breakage probably isn't as much of a issue with the full-sized version). Also, they're expensive, but you knew that.

Like most people, I got the birthday twosie from Sephora, Sugar and Rose. The packaging is pretty cute and I really love the light scent of the balm. It feels a little thick but otherwise good on my lips and Rose's colour is very nice with my fair skin. My only issue with it is that after a couple hours in my jeans pocket, I tried to put it on and the lipstick proceeded to squish like a marshmallow between two graham crackers! It wasted a lot by smushing both onto my lip and onto the tube. And this is in the middle of winter! Definitely keep this in a purse or away from any sources of heat. The price for a full size tube is also pretty staggering. I wouldn't buy a full size one, but the little ones will be nice for the short time they'll last (as long as I don't forget and put them back in my pocket).
