Waste of money. I'm so glad I bought the sample size version from sephora. It didnt really do anything for my lashes and flaked off very easily. I looked like I had little black freckles on my cheeks... It smudged and didn't keep the curl... It was a complete disappointment. Benefit should stay with blushes and powders and stay away from making mascaras.... They're not very good at it.

I love this mascara. I've never had any problems with flaking or smudging, or it not showing up. Application is easy and smooth...never clumpy. I love the big brush and how it gets every lash. It's not break the bank expensive either!

I absolutely love this mascara! This is (probably) my favourite, and I am extremely particular about my eyelashes, as they're very straight, rather fair and my eyes really disappear without lashes! I have very uncooperative eyelashes, in that they often won't hold a curl. This mascara manages to maintain the curl I get from using eyelashes curlers - benefit 'they're real' definitely did not. This product gives me long, thick, black lashes that aren't clumpy at all. I like it better after a couple weeks use, when it has dried out slightly. I love the big brush and didn't find it hard to use at all. Bad Gal works particularly nicely over the top of other mascaras, such as Lancome Hypnose Star, to give an even fuller, more dramatic look that I like for evenings.
I think it is worth the money even though it doesn't seem to last me very long.

The packaging was very cute. But the product isn't that good. I do like the mascara for my bottom lashes but not so much for the top, I wouldn't buy it again because I don't always put mascara on my bottom lashes.

Although the packaging was pretty cute, the product itself isn't that great for me. My lashes weren't really volumized or lengthened, and it had very miniscule results. This was given to me as a gift, so I wouldn't know how much it costs, but I did some research and it was average. The only up side was that this mascara doesn't clump for me, which I suppose is quite good. I wouldn't use this if I wanted darker eyes, but I'd recommend it for light makeup. I'm not sure if I'd want to repurchase it to be honest, most likely not.

I was using this quite a while ago & it was pretty average for me. I was not a fan of the brush, application seemed very harsh to me & clumpy. Also i noticed this mascara kind of dried & flaked in clumps when you applied slightly to much. On the plus side I quite enjoyed the scent of this mascara, kind of reminded me of oranges :p

For the first 5 minutes it gives a dramatic appearance, after that it returns to normal. No volume, a little length ...pretty much it.

I see some people have had problems with this flaking, and maybe it's a case of YMMV, but I've never had this flake or settle around my eyes by midday. I curl my lashes first, apply the mascara, and then go through it with a clean spoolie brush and it stays on me throughout the day. I've got long-ish lashes already so I don't really notice a difference there, but it does make them look fuller. One thickish coat and a second lighter one work well for me. I wasn't a fan of the brush at first, but I'm used to it now and know when to turn it to get all of my lashes coated :)

Smudges... Despite me dusting my undereye with loose powder.. I also dislike the clumsy brush. Doesn't hold a curl, not much volume achieved. In fact, doesn't do much at all apart from giving you raccoon eyes haha. Sad indeed.

The mascara could have been more expensive, which is why I didn't rate it a 1. When I first put it on and wore it, I thought maybe the problem was me. After the third attempt at wearing it, I knew it wasn't. The mascara would start to flake and smudge around my eyes about two hours into wear (at least that's the next chance I would have to look). So I would look tired and messy. It was as flaky as a croissant.

Got this as a free sample. I'm using it, but I mostly use it over another drugstore mascara. I'm not too impressed with it by itself; in terms of, it cost way too much and I can achieve the same look with DS mascera. I would never purchase this.
The brush is also huge, so it's pretty hard to get on the outer/inner corners.

I just don't like this at all. I have had far better mascaras for a third of the price, infact I threw this one away .
Just does nothing for my lashes, infact you can hard.y see it. Very poor.

I didn't like this mascara. The brush is too big and it's really, really flaky! The longer I had it the more it flaked.

This mascara does exactly what it advertises, it makes eyelashes both long and voluminous. The brush is fat and coats every lash evenly. The mascara itself sets quickly on the lashes however, I've noticed that it has a tendency to flake once dry. Also the mascara in the tube dries up quickly, way sooner than the three month mark when it should be tossed. Its expensive, but Ive repurchased this many times over the last few years. I no longer buy it anymore because I've recently found my HG mascara (nyx pin up curl.)

I got this in a sample set they have and I am in love with this mascara. I love the big brush and how soft it goes on but how lovely it looks with just a few coats. I do one eye at a time and I have never had a problem with it drying too fast or clumping. I've never had a problem with getting the mascara on my lids. Whenever I set my makeup with a setting spray after it never runs or gives me "racoon eyes" so I have no idea what people are doing wrong. I do use a smaller brush mascara on my bottom lashes because I am prone to getting mascara dots on my bottom lashes with any mascara (LOL). But overall this is such a lovely product that really makes your lashes look amazing. I don't know why there's so much hate this really is a great mascara!

I was really disappointed with this mascara as I'd heard good things about it and benefit makeup in general.
It was the first product I'd purchased from benefit as personally I think it's quite overpriced for the quality of it. however I still wanted to try this 'magnificent mascara everyone had been raving about.
For me, it was too wet when i applied it, it didn't separate my lashes nicely at all, just made them 'spidery' and after a few hours of it being on my lashes, I'd find smudge marks under my eyes and sometimes flakes there too.I never usually have this problem with mascaras I usually use and I always do my best to prevent mascara smudge (using eye primers and powder to dry any foundation under the eye area).
The only positive I can mention about this is that you only need 1-2 coats. it thickens quite fast but does not lengthen properly without a few coats-which usually leads to the problems I mentioned above.
Would not purchase again.

I originally bought this mascara because I liked the big brush, I stupidly didn't pay heed to the bad reviews here. This is, without doubt, the worst mascara I have ever used! It goes on fine, not amazing or anything, but I spend the rest of the day cleaning smudged mascara from around my eyes. It's ridiculous, no staying power at all - It makes me look like a panda! I ended up chucking it in the bin. So annoyed, such a waste of money. If you're thinking of buying it, don't!

I didn't enjoy this mascara because the brush is way too big and every time I applied it, I would get mascara on my eyelids and below my eyes. It also smudged underneath my eyes by worse than other mascaras have done. The formula was a little too wet for my preference, but it didn't make my lashes clump. It wouldn't have been so bad but the brush was just annoying.

I tried this out 6 or 7 years ago when I was 20 or 21. It was one of my first high end products. At the time I thought it was great because it added volume and length better than any other mascara I'd used up to that point. It smudged easily and gave me raccoon eyes but I was forgiving because up to that point all of the mascaras that I'd tried smudged on me so I just passed it off as normal. Since then, I've found better. I discovered Cover Girl Lash Blast which gives me the same effect without the smudging. It also costs less than half the price of BADgal Lash. I only purchased BADgal Lash once and will not be purchasing it again. I'm more than happy to pay high end prices if I feel that I'm getting top notch quality. However, if I can find a cheaper product that is more effective, I'm going to go with it. I will say that I liked the packaging/logo/branding though :)

This is one of my favorite mascaras. I've already bought it twice. The packaging and name are adorable and the mascara makes my eyes pop. It's doesn't clump or smudge for me and lasts forever. It is kind of expensive though.
