I have four of these 06, 10, 11 & 12. If I should rate them it would be in this order: 12, 06, 10 & 11. 11 have very light colors wich is not very well pigmented.

These are nice, sheer, glimmery cubes of color. I really enjoy all the different color combinations The Body Shop has made available. The application of these colors goes on beautifully too. Although I love the look of the four cubes inside their container, and it seems to last forever - my only gripe is that they aren't the best for when you travel. I still give this product five lippies anyhow. Great product! Luv it!

I have a lot of gripes with these eyeshadows. They aren't very finely milled or pigmented and crease after about six hours of wear. I bought it because it was on sale and the packaging is super cute, but that's the only thing good about it. Definitely will never purchase another one.

While I do think that some of the colours are nice, I would not repurchase. The lasting power is extremely poor. Pretty much all of the shades are too glittery or shimmery without enough actual colour pigment. Also, the cheap plastic packaging sucks.

I wasn't satisfied by this product.
Just tooooo much glitter, rather than shimmer.
Difficult to apply, don't blend well.

Good selection of colours. Nothing exceptional here though, I find the staying power is quite poor and dry or wet will barely last through 8 hours of the day. The quad has lasted me four years and I still have two cubes to go!

I have the 06 and 07 palettes of these. I've had the 06 for about 18 months, I use it nearly every day, and I've barely made a dint in it.
I find the colours versatile and easy to blend, you can do all sorts of effects with them, and you can use them for a barely there effect, or use a damp brush for more dramatic colours with longer staying power.
I find that I don't really use other shadows anymore, I can do daytime or night-time effects with these 8 colours and achieve a professional effect in about 2 minutes without even using a brush. If you were to choose one palette to start with though, I'd recommend the 06.

I have two of these (palettes 6 and 7). I think they're fantastic, subtle, versatile and gorgeous. Other reviewers have complained about the cubes not blending well, but I have not had this problem. I apply them with brushes, rather than my fingers and I find that the shades in palette 07, can be blended to make a nice, subtle smoky eye. They are not highly pigmented, so if you're looking for a really dramatic look, these aren't for you. They're on the pricey side, but you get a lot of product and they last forever. I took off one lippy because the packaging is a little unpractical. The lids tend to be loose-fitting, so you can't just throw them in your makeup bag without putting some tape or a rubber band on them.

I have to admit that I have a love/hate relationship with The Body Shop products. Some I really, really love, like their cheek/lip stains, body butter (Brazil Nut for me!) and some shampoos and fragrance oils. But when it comes to their cosmetics, I find that Body Shop doesn't always deliver. Let me start with their popular Shimmer Cubes.
I have the Shimmer Cubes in their Velvet collection, which is a square container with four solid cubes of eyeshadow colors that are can be used separately or blended together for a nice sparkly effect. The Shimmer Cubes can be quite expensive, so you have to choose the most practical shades. Some quadrants have the Brown shades and others have the Spring or Dark shades, so choose the combination that is realistically usable for work. And because of the cubes' size, you can be sure that each color will last a long, long time.
The neutral colors (like the salmon pinks, fleshy tones, and the light browns) are OK for everyday use, but can be too sparkly for the office so you might want to blend them with a matte/flat base (Revlon's Wet/Dry Singles are great matte shades that can tone down the shimmer). The product does have a tendency to form a "crust" on top when not used for a while, so you might want to clean out the crust first before applying the product onto your eyelids.
The dark hues (like the quadrant that contains forest green and dark purple) have become one of my cosmetic regrets because these shades are not as blendable as I like them to be (they either seem to stick to your eyelids or wash out completely, which is weird). They are also TOO sparkly and contain only a bare amount of pigment. If you're not careful, your eyes will have too much shimmer but no color, making your lids look oily instead of fabulous. After a while, the green and the violet also crease quite badly, leaving your eyes looking tired and dull.
Special mention: The gunmetal grey cube is the worst grey I've come across so far because it fades quickly and transforms into a brownish shade, which can be nasty. Don't bother using this for the smoky-eye look unless you have Urban Decay's Primer Potion to use this grey with, otherwise the color turns uneven and messy.
I would recommend the neutral pink/brown quads, but make sure to apply it only with make-up brushes and not your fingers because the shimmer gets stuck in your finger and not on your lids. I would definitely advise against purchasing the darker quads because of their "un-blendability" and oily sheen, unless of course, you're a pro and you can figure how to layer these with two or three other eye shadow products.

I love these Shimmer Cubes. They're my favourite shadows next to my favourite Fyrinnae mineral shadows, and easier and more convenient to apply than Fyrinnae's loose powders. I find them easy to apply and blend with a sponge applicator, good pigmentation, many shadows I've tried are so soft and subtle you can hardly see them no matter how much you apply but that is not the case with these Shimmer Cubes, you get a good, visible amount with the first application and you can layer more on if you want greater intensity. Very beautiful colours too. I love that I can mix and match cubes from different sets to create personalized palettes, great and versatile for travelling too, you can take the palettes you want with you. Some people have complained about the flimsy packaging of the box the set comes in but I use an elastic band to hold it together and have no problems. The individual cubes themselves are so durable and resistent, you can bang them around and they are no worse for the wear, can't say that about many other pressed eye shadows I've had, I'd bang them around and they'd break into lots of chunks and fine powders. My only gripe is I wish TBS would bring out lots and lots more colours of these Shimmer Cubes, and that the ones they've already brought out weren't LE! I'd love to see a purple-violet shimmer cube set, and that they would bring out their green one again (I didn't get it, boo!), and their dark liner-coloured set, and some bronzey-golden sets...............

I love these eye shadows because they are so easy to use and so versatile. The palette I bought had shimmery pink, dark purple, brown, and silver which were perfect for recreating looks from the SS07 collections.
I found the silver is beautiful when you mix a little water in with a brush and paint it under the eye (like at Louis Vuitton and on the eyelid for the Chanel look). The dry silver blended at the corners of the eye creates a very fresh look.
The other colors are easy to blend and aren't necessarily all about trend. You can mix and match to compliment fall looks also.

Okay, so I have had my shimmer cube set for three years. It's on its way out (still safe to use, I check!), but I am only just now finishing up the product. I have the brown shades: a pinkish brown, a gold brown, and dark browns. I love 'em.
Consistency: smooth, light product distribution makes it easier to layer. The colors are really light and work well together or alone. I get compliments each time I wear the pink-brown shade. For reference: I'm PPP with blue eyes and dark brown hair.
Downside: when I bought my quad, it was $12.50. After checking the website, the price has now gone up to $17.50. It's steep, but you are getting 4 shades...something to keep in mind.

These shadows are very compact - I find I have to work the brush into the cube too hard to get any powder. Some of the shades have very light coverage and others darker. They also wear off very easily and you need to reapply all the time. I like something more reliable in my eyeshadows.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Normal Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
I got this set of 4 shimmer cubes with a brown shade, a honey shade, a pink shade, and a purple shade. I like to apply the brown and honey together and the pink and purple together. These are very pretty and natural-looking and it was only $17.50 for a lot of product. I would prefer if they came in a compact (the cubes are very wobbly in the container) and I have a feeling that when they start running down it will be hard to get the product out. I apply these by wetting my finger so it imparts more color and if I want just a subtle shimmer I use a dry finger. These are the only eye shadows I own and I don't see a need to buy any more because these are so versatile.

I have these in "Palette 07" which consist of: Ruby [Dark Purple], Dusted Silver [Shimmering Silver], Argly Pink [ Medium pink w/ purple undertones] and Rich Bronze [Shimmering Dark Brown]. The colors are extremely shimmery, so do tap your brush before applying them or you will have a shimmering mess to deal with [ as did i when i first tried this]. But overall, they do crease if you don't use a base, and if you do, they last for a long time and the colors are amazing. I especially love the silver for highlighting my brow bone and the deep purple to go over my liquid liner. Great combination of colors! I know these will last me forever because you really do get a lot for what you're paying. I paid $22CND and i think it was all worth it.

I bought the shimmer cubes palette no. 11 on sale some weeks ago, 50% off in Norway. I really love the colors and they all are looking nice. It's a shimmery peachy color, a shimmery lime green, a shimmery white/silver and a shimmery yellow. they make my eyes sparkle. I have blue eyes and blond hair, so these cool shades fit me perfectly. I would repurchase, but I think that I have them forever.. It's worth the money for sure!! My favorite so far.

The colors in the palette I have are Imperial Purple, Dusted Silver, Argyle Pink and Rich Bronze. I have never liked the way bronze looks on me. I usually wear browns that are a bit darker. Like mocha colors. However the Rich Bronze in this palette is fast becoming my most favorite shadow. I adore it! The Argyle Pink is fabulous when paired with the Rich Bronze. There's a ton of shimmer and they are also very light colors. Much lighter than they appear in the cube. This is great for the purple. I love purple but can't pull off a really dark purple color. But I can wear this one. Even the silver looks good on me which I never thought it would. I like to smudge the purple and silver together which creates this gorgeous shimmery, smokey look. Perfect for nighttime! I completely recommend this palette. It's adorable, these colors are fantastic, the shadows last forever (for example I put on the rich bronze at 10:30 this morning and it's still there! (It's now 6:15pm) My other shadows don't last nearly as long. I have not tried them wet. That's my next plan. But try these shadows. They are $17.50 for 4 colors and contain as much shadow as three Hard Candy or Urban Decay shadows and those are $15 each. Such a deal! =)

Lovely colours, I have palettes 6 & 7. Some apply great, some not at all. Unfortunately, the colours that i like are just too sheer, they just dont come off the cube onto the brush so i have to use my fingers and it is still way too much effort to get a decent application. Would not repurchase.

Gorgeous! These shadows go on smoothly, blend like a dream, and impart just the right amount of shimmer and colour to the lids. I've used the light pink shimmer, and the dark purply-black one. The pink is very pretty, very soft, and is great for work or school. The dark one though is truly unique. It gives drama without being too harsh. You can use a damp slanted brush and apply as liner, then use a dry brush to apply as shadow. Blend and highlight with a bit of the light pink, and you get a pretty, modern, smokey look that's perfect for a party or a night out.My only gripe is the packaging. The cubes are flimsy, and tend to crack. Also, the product likes to fall out of the cube sometimes. It goes back in easily, but it's messy. I carried this loose in my purse, and the cap of the cube came off and shadow got over everything. The shadow itself is remarkably durable... it didn't crumble even when it was knocking about in my purse. But the actual container leaves much to be desired.Overall, this is a great product. You can apply just as easily with a finger or a brush, and the colours are just incredibly pretty. It's hard to goof up when using these cubes. Why pay 3x for the Dior pearl palettes when this is just as good? Definitely recommend.

Nice overall. I have a shimmery, bronzey, cocoa brown and a shimmery beigey gold/champagne. They're not the most velvety eyeshadows I've tried, but the pigmentation is pretty good, even when used dry (they look sorta hard on the cube) with an eyeshadow brush I managed to get a tiny hint of color and some shimmer. Nice for a daytime look if you like subtle and natural. The shimmer is quite fine and is not the type that migrates. The colors are better when applied wet--then the brown becomes more bronzey (reminds me of Milani's Java Bean e/s) and the beigey color becomes a stronger cool gold. Love the tiny, space-saving packaging. I got these as extras in a swap--I don't think I'd pay the full price for these, but I'll check TBS' sales from now on for these.
