This is another one of those products that's just fine. Nothing bad, but nothing exciting. I like my products to knock my socks off, you know? This one cleans nicely, I like the clay aspect of it. But... yawn. I have nothing critical to point to, because it does what it says it is supposed to do. I just can't get too excited about it.

Love this cleanser! My skin March-May gets crazy when the weather starts getting warmer- from normal tending towards dry transitioning to combo- and I get a ton of small bumps on my forehead- clogged pores that sometimes lead to zits. I bought this on a whim last spring and loved it- the kaolin clay does a good job soaking up oil and leaves a matte finish. I really liked that it's a foaming cleanser and can remove makeup but doesn't overdry. My skin was so soft and much brighter. Judging from other reviews, I do not think this would be a good cleanser for oily or acneprone skin and that this product is truly meant for normal/combo skin. I love this product, and tried to find it for this spring but can't find it anywhere! Great price (less than $7) and the tube packaging is convenient.

I use this in summer when my skin produces more oil. It works pretty well at controlling it and keeping my pores looking nice. It doesn't break me out either. However, this past summer my skin really freaked out and I needed something stronger.

This is the product I'm currently using and I don't love nor hate it. It doesn't work with controlling the oil at all but nothing does. It rubs into skin nice, rinses nice, and skin is left matte but only for like 30 minutes because my face is so oily. however, I do go through 2 washings everytime i wash (lather, rinse, lather, rinse) because that's the only way i feel that it makes ur skin really really clean. my skin is very sensitive and red so i can't use nething with micro beads or scrubs or even rubbing in the face wash with a wash rag, it's just to rough. but i would recommend this for just your average cleanser, and I will buy it because it's cheaper then alot of the other ones that burned my skin, but I'm still purchasing new cleansers here and there to find something better. and the smell isn't too pleasent, but I mean it's just a cleanser. sure that morning glow stuff smells good, but that like attacked my skin. So the little medicine like smell or whatever the heck that is, isn't too too bad.

Results may vary depending on your face type. I have combination/normal skin (oily in T-zone), small pores, and break out once in a while. I think this product is the best out of L'oreal's drug-store line. It rinses squeaky clean and leave my face a little tight. It doesn't take off make-up well but then again, it doesn't advertise that it should so that's fair. I've tried 2 other L'oreal cleansers (HydraFresh and the orange one for normal skin) and they both leave me feeling over-moisturized (greasy or waxy) and not clean.

Although I liked the way this cleanser made my skin feel, and it didn't cause any breakouts, the scent was overpowering. I had to hold my breath while washing and gave it up after a few days. My DH began using it, though, and it's now a staple in our household. The fragrance doesn't bother him and he says it helps with smooth shaving and controlling razor bumps.

This is a good cleanser oily to combo skins. Just a tiny dab lathers up wonderfully, cleans my face and removes makeup very well. Afterwards my face is soft, smooth and shine free courtesy of the clay in it. That said, this can be a tad drying over time so you may want to alternate it with another cleanser. The fresh scent is a nice pick me up too and the tube packaging is functional and handy for travel. Overall another good, very affordable cleanser from L'Oreal. I would definitely repurchase.

Just discovered this product as it was majorly on sale... thought I'd give it a try. So far I really do like it- it seems as though my skin is a bit more even looking throughout the day- the kaolin clay is listed as an ingredient and is usually helpful for controlling oil. It takes a few extra splashes of water to remove completely- but as I usually can tell with a good cleanser- there isn't much on the cotton ball after I follow with toner- a good sign. I may try the gel just to compare- but I would buy this again!

Was good at cleaning my pores, but left the area around my eyes dry and I noticed a few pimples appearing here and there daily...had to stop and return immediately!!I bought it cause it was on sale for $1.75. I exchanged it for my more expensive HG Oil of Olay cleanser.

TEXTURE - Hated the sticky/goopy feeling. Was difficult to wash off. As someone who is chronically running late in the morning the extra time it takes me to wash this off my face is totally annoying. EFFECTS - Left my skin oil-free and matte but after a few days of using I began breaking out. Odd that something marketed to control oil made me break out.

I have repurchased this, but I'm still searching for a HG cleanser. This does an OK job, sometimes it leaves a film behind, no matter how many times I rinse. I actually think this has dried out my eye lids, and it's not very effective as an eye makeup remover. I probably won't repurchase again if I can find an alternative.

Love this cleanser! My perfect spring-summer cleanser. Keeps my skin fresh and clean looking all day. Also controls the oil in my t-zone area. Will purchase again. Will perhaps look for something more moisturizing in the fall-winter monthes.

I bought this because I'm forever trying to find the right cleanser for my oily, mild acne skin! This actually made me break out even more, and I thought I had a hormone problem or something! But, I think it would be nice for those who have oily skin with no acne. It works a bit for shine, but mine is so excessive I need constant blotting papers.

I really like this cleanser. The smell is kind of odd, and I'm still getting used to a non-tingly cleanser...but I like it. Cleans well but gently, my skill feels nice, and I think it is making my pores less noticeable. I highly recommend you try it. You don't even need to use very much to get it foaming.

This is a wonderful drugstore cleanser! It is very comparable to the department store versions for oily/combo skin. It is nice and thick to remove all your makeup. I think I will continue to use this or try the Ideal Balance Foaming Gel Cleanser.

Eeek! My skin has been tight and uncomfortable all day after using this stuff on my combo skin. My T-Zone isn't as shiny as usual, and the pores on my nose are unclogged, so in that sense this did what it was supposed to do, but the rest of my face hurts! Not buying this again, no no!

Just started using and I like it. It is not drying and my face does not feel tight afterwards. I have combo skin with an oily T-Zone. Should be a nice wintertime cleanser. UPDATE 3/2005: Over time became drying thus reduced my rating to 3 instead of 5.

This is fabulous! I have very sensitive combination skin and this is just the ticket! I love the clay in it. The fragrance is nice, not too heavy at all. A little goes a long way and it's priced very well - I got mine on a buy one get one free, too!! Lovely tube packaging! Will be purchasing again...if my two tubes ever run out!

I didn't like this cleanser. I have oily skin, but most cleansers made for oily skin are too drying on me so I try stuff that's made for combination skin. It left my skin way too dry, even with a moisturizer. Won't buy again.
