I am really disappointed in this lotion. I needed a body lotion for pretty dry skin and after reading the reviews on here decided to go w/ Vaseline advanced Healing. I wanted something fragrance free which this lotions is which is nice but for me it did not moisturize at all. It was hard to rub in and just didn't seem to absorb like most lotions do. As a result, it left a sticky/wax like film all over my skin. Eventually it does go away (about an hour later which is ridiculous) but my skin is not left sikly smooth, it's barely anything above 'not dry.'

Is this the heaviest lotion that Vaseline carries? If the answer is yes, Vaseline really doesn't quite cut it for me. It's better than other thin lotion in the market, but I always feel dehydrated very quickly if I use this. Bottomline, it's not bad, but it's far from impressive for me, because I always opt for heavy duty lotions/creams. I like Jergens Ultra Healing better. EDIT: Bump my rating to 5 lippies. Even though it doesn't leave any moisture barrier on the skin (hence, non-greasy at all), it does moisturize well. My cracked feet definitely helped. I will recommend this for dry skinned ladies who despise greasy lotion

I always come back to this after some expensive and heavily-perfumed novelty product damages my skin. This always works with no irritation. I wake up in the morning with soft skin. I have used this on my face too, on my dry cheeks, and have not broken out. The generic version of this, from Walgreens ($1.99) also works, it's just a little thinner. When will I learn just to stick with this? My skin and my budget are better off with basics like this.

This is a no nonsense moiturising lotion for extra dry skin. It did the job very well and left my skin soft and smooth. Only problem is the smell, yes it is fragrance free but it's got an underlying smell that I don't like. I don't know, I guess its just too basic, too ordinary. I might repurchase, perhaps mix in some nice smelling essential oils.

This is great lotion. The ingredient list is very impressive, with very good occlusives and humectants, as well as some antioxidants. Great, non irritating, and inexpensive body lotion.

I bought this awhile ago, tried it on my face, then it sat on a shelf. I recently tried it again, and now I have no idea why I shelved it! It's lightweight, unscented, and contains really great ingredients - no clogging oils, no silicones. It's light enough for my face, and sinks right in.

It's earned a 4 because 1) it's too light for normal body use, and 2) it doesn't contain any antioxidants or specialty ingredients.

Thanks to SkinActives.com, I've been mixing this lotion with a variety of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant ingredients (grapeseed, green tea, allatoin, horse chestnut), and I'm quite pleased with the results.

Thumbs up! It's cheap, and definitely worth a try if your skin is fickle yet you need a lightweight moisturizer.

Good moisturizer for the price. Its lightweight so I don't really use it on my elbows or feet but it's great for everywhere else. It's not greasy so I like using it on my legs and arms.

This is a great body moisturizer! I have tried a lot of store brand moisturizers and have finally found the perfect one for me! It really helps with dry skin and dries very quickly!! It's also really inexpensive and comes in a huge pump bottle! Definitely give this a try!!

I got a huge bottle at Kmart for around $2.50, but it has a bonus sticker "13 fl oz at the 10 fl oz price" What I love most about this lotion is it is unscented. I previously picked up some other brand unscented lotions but all had some sort of chemical etc smell. I have severe scent allergies and for body lotions I have to have unscented! Okay the texture is that of a thick lotion/cream, it does take my legs almost a full 20-30 minutes before they quit feeling sticky and it completely absorbs/dry but when it does they feel nicely moisturized and not greasy. I have oil skin so I have not used this on my upper arms/chest or back but for those of you who do use body lotions in those places you could use this there because it does end up drying. AFter purchasing I went to check reviews before I opened and I saw the last persons entry about how you can shave with this, so I did shave my legs and bikini area with this and had great results. I wet my legs first and this on top of wet legs made it like a runny lotiony texture and so it didnt clog my razor at all and gave a great sleek/smooth shave. For the first time in a while I dont have razor bumps on my bikini line. I used this to shave with, then after towel drying I put some of this on all over right away and after it dried my skin felt the softest ever. The first few times I used it I kept reaplying so it would get those areas hydrated, once I got them hydrated I only need to reaply every 10+ hours. There are more moisturizing lotions out there for that I suggest an actual cream but for my 20 yr old dry skin this worked great and you cant beat the price. I also like how vaseline offered a flip top cap because a lot of the other lotions I was goign to buy had a pump and I cannot travel with lotion that has a pump and will squirt out in my bag

One of my HGs for this reason: multipurpose! Not only is it a moisturizer, it also works as a shaving lotion and doesn't leave you with razorburn! Crazy, but true! I read this in a magazine and had to try it out myself. It works. Some other nice things about this product.. It's cheap and there's a lot of it. It will last forever, its in a pump bottle, easily absorbs and there is no fragrance. Ok people--- now RUN! Go getcha some!

Keeps my skin moisturized in the winter (most of the time). This winter I will also try a humidifying in combination with it.

My all time favorite moisturizing lotion. My bathroom will never be without this. I use it everyday after my shower and find it to be the perfect consistancy for a lotion. I love the pump on the bottle and the price. I used to use Lubriderm but after trying this I will never use another lotion.

This lotion was not appealing to me at all. The texture was okay but it felt sticky and didn't really moisturize my dry skin very well. I didn't feel soft and silkly like I do when I use some other lotions. It did an average job, but honestly there are other drugstore lotions out there that do a much better job. On the upside you get a huge bottle for a small price compared to the quanity. The pump works well, but really isn't anything innovative. I won't be repurchasing this one.

EDIT: (2-3-2006) Changed from 5 stars to 3. This is just okay. It would likely be a good summer moisturizer for skin that was already in good shape. But this doesn't give enough lasting moisture for my shins in winter, and they are only moderately dry.
This makes a good hand lotion because it isn't greasy. It keeps my hands from feeling dry, despite frequent hand washing. This is not the richest lotion I have ever used. But it is the richest lotion I've used that lets me get on with my daily business. It won't leave the mouse or keyboard greasy. I can use a pen after I apply this. It is fragrance free but as others point out, it has a whisper-faint soft clean scent. This is just an excellent all-purpose lotion, good for legs, too.

I actually bought this lotion because of the scent...it's fragrance-free, but has this extremely faint clean smelling scent. Anyway, this lotion has been hands down the best one I've used & I'm always trying new ones. I'm very picky about lotions and especially on my hands...I hate to have them dry...and with this lotion I can put it on and not feel as though I need to re-apply like with other ones I've tried. This one really gets my skin soft and smooth & I have yet to find a lotion that I like more. I haven't had any problems with it leaving my skin oily or sticky...I actually think it absorbs really well.

This is a wonderful lotion. It seems to provide just what your skin needs, isn't sticky and absorbs very quickly. It keeps my hands in great condition and is great for soothing my legs after I shave.

This is a bit more moisture than my "normal" skin needs, but I really like it. It's creamy so if I pump too much I have to rub it in a while, but it keeps my legs moisturized and smooth all day and all night long. I don't find it to be very oily. The scent isn't much to speak of; it's not offensive, not particularly memorable. I only bought it because of the raves here and the cheap price, but I would repurchase this for when I need some variety from my standard J&J lotion.

I love this stuff more than anything. I buy the Wal-Mart version which is the exact same, same scent and everything. I use it in the summer and winter, I tan in the summer so I am dry and in the winter, I am dry so it works all the time. I have strayed but always come back to this stuff. Great for sunburns and peeling too.

I went out bought this after reading all the great reviews while on a mission to find my HG moisturizer. I found it to be a good moisturizer, I just didn't care for the scent...at all. I don't have super dry skin and it just wasn't what I was looking for. Know what was? Johnson's SoftLotion, my new HG lotion! I love it and it smells so good and moisturizes like nothing else. Glad I tried this though, and I'm glad it works for some! :)
