October in a bottle. I am a fan of Dawn's Firefly, but sometimes the smoked applewood in it is too much for me, so I added Halloween to my collection. It's the same type of earthiness, crushed leaves, mossy forest floor scent, but without the smokiness. The smokiness is replaced by notes of pumpkin, bergamot and spices. Wonderful and long-lasting.

halloween: a nostalgic and warming scent for cool autumn days ( ...this stuff is better than witches brew! ) - notes of bergamot, orange peel, star anise, mulling spices, pumpkin, carnation, dry maple leaves and moss.
These are the notes from the website.
Have you ever heard the Danse Macabre? This is Halloween, the way the notes (like the ghosts!) are spectre like whisps in the beginning, swirling and rioting to a fabulous crescendo that makes your heart beat like a furious bird in your chest! Beautiful, at last a fragrance that had my dh mumbling into the sheet, "Hey! I like that, what IS that?" Spicy, warm and sultry, this will be a definite for my fall collection. The funnest thing about this fragrance is that I can't distinguish any of the notes as separate, but together they remind me of the scent of haunted hay rides, mulled cider, and the musky smell of people close around and the warmth of the horses, the dry baked scent of leaves and dried flowers... love this!
