Like the others on here I have issues with the scratchiness.
I wish I could love it and have the great results that others do . . . not to be :(
It really does hurt to apply product with it and my skin isn't particuarly sensitive. I find it is such a dense brush it doesn't apply product that easily either.
I would not repurchase.

SCRATCHY, That's the only word for it..Ladies, don't waste your time with this one. I was so dissapointed when I tried to use it with my powder foundation, luckily I didn't pay full price.

In a word, this brush was disappointing. I bought it because I thought it would be the perfect tool for applying my mineral foundation. It's not that bad, really, but I just expected it to be much softer and nicer and less scratchy for $60, you know? It doesn't help it that it arrived on the exact same day that my powder brush from Alima arrived---- compared to the creamy, silky goodness of the Alima brush, the NARS brush feels like it came from the drugstore! And considering the Alima one was only $25, I'll be sticking with them from now on.
Update: this sucker has been demoted to one lippie--- it's so scratchy that it serious irritated my poor face. Up for swap it goes!

I just don't get the hype surrounding this brush. It's rather hard on my face and kinda scratchy. I haven't experienced any shedding with this brush though. I'm hoping that with time this brush will grow on me. It's just not as soft as I had hoped it would be.

This is a beautiful brush. Very thick, dense and soft to the touch. I apply my bronzing powder with it and there is no way you would ever see a line or trace of anything unnatural when you are done with this brush. It buffs everything into the skin. Cannot use it for blush, the blush will disappear into your skin this thing buffs so well. For allover bronzer, it is perfect.

The sales girl was totally right about this brush: it's like fine wine- it gets better with age. I've had this brush for over a year and it's been through a lot of use. Now the bristles are much softer and my bronzer still goes on perfectly- gives a nice, healthy-looking glow (nothing fake at all). Such a good makeup tool! I took off one lippie because of the price (it's pretty much an investment) and because it doesn't come with a case.

I've been using this brush for about a month now and I have to say it does a great job with my Philosphy Airbrushed Canvas foundation. I prefer to use a brush rather than the sponge applicator. It is not as soft as I expected. The reason I gave this item only four lippies is because the brush does shed a bit and I think at retail it's a little pricey. I purchased this item on Ebay for around $20. I would not pay full retail for this brush.

WOW! I waited so long to get this brush because of the price, and I was tempted to low-ball it and get the Sephora knock-off, but I went ahead and got the Nars and I am SO happy with it! The only thing is, I wish for $50, that they would've put it in a box, or a nice reusable plastic protector- the plastic sleeve it comes in has to ripped open to get the brush out. Other than that, it is super soft, doesn't shed and feels great on my face. It is also one of the most versetile brushes you can buy! I use it for Mineral Foundation, Loose powder, bronzer and blush application. It just buffs everything perfectly and makes my skin look so goodand glowing! I didn't know my MU could look this much better just by using a different brush. I wish I had purchased this earlier- now I can pitch my old kabuki, powder and blush brushes, who need 'em???

This is great for applying bronzer, but I like it more for blending after doing contouring or buffing away some over-zealously applied blush. Everything looks blended into the skin after going over it with this brush. It gets the job done.

Ever since the NARS MA used this to put on my Mont Blanc Balancing Foundation at the counter, I was totally lemming this VERY expensive brush (CDN $73). I finally purchased my own and I really love how well it blends my fdtn to a dewy finish, and I love the weight and size of the brush. It sheds a tiny bit, but the shedding has lessened the more I use it, so maybe it sheds because it's new? Anyways it was a good investment; I expect it to last forever so I won't be buying it again! :P

This is an excellent brush for bronzer! I have always used a kabuki for bronzer application, but have not been totally satisfied with the out come. My kabuki brushes bristles (I have Cat Cosmetics & Bobbi Brown) are not as firmly packed as this brush is and it takes a couple of layers to get the glow I want. This brush has shorter hair that is denser and firmer than a kabuki. I had serious doubts about it! I was sure I'd look like a clown or have to work very hard to blend down to a natural color (I do not like the "tanned" look, prefer a warm and radiant glow). I was totally wrong! Application has never been easier. I get the color I want in one pass and blending is quick and simple to do. The #19 buffs the color into the skin so efficiently! Works beautifully with my Bobbi Brown and Guerlain bronzers. I have experienced absolutely no shedding. I'm so pleased with this brush and I'd definitely buy another, though I can't imagine this one ever wearing out. I lippie off as the hairs are a little scratchy. Not terrible, and does not cause irritation. It may be something to consider if you have very sensitive skin.

The brush is soft and fluffy, and allows me to apply color without going overboard. It's not the softest brush I've ever tried, but despite the fluffiness, I still have control over the amount of color I deposit on my cheeks (am not a fan of bronzer, so I use it for blush.) Suddenly, my Shu Uemura Apricot blush looked so natural with it!
I can see that this might be a pain to clean, and will take forever to dry. Still, it's a good brush, one that I definitely wouldn't get rid of--I won't try other NARS just because of this, but it's a good one on its own.

Yes, this brush is easy to use and give me glow right away. I'm a total bronzer girl, but for some reason, I'm just not into spending so much money on brushes. hehehe.. I just use my BENEFIT blush brush to apply my MAC bronzer normally. But, I know bronzer should be apply more on the rest of the face not just cheeks... this brush works for that. Unfortunetly, it's made in China and cost $50. I'm very picky when it comes to where the products manufactured from and the cost. If it was made in Italy, Japan or USA...for $50 MAKES SENSE. For example Shu Uemura brushes all made in japan, very high quality and you pay for that price too.... But altho I'm Asian myself, I don't think it's worth it.

Of course I wish this brush were softer! I've been spoiled by Trish's blue squirrel bristles and using this bronzer brush on my face for the first time was a bit of a disappointment. That said, the effect's incredible! I prefer this over my other two skunk brushes cos this one really makes me glowy, while what the best thing skunk brushes do is just to deposit a sheer wash of color.

OH MY GOSH! What an absolutely amazing brush! This brush actually made my pores look smaller....or better yet, my make-up look non-caked. It blended everything in perfectly....from my Prescriptives Virtual Skin, to my Chanel Loose Powder, to my MAC Bronzer in Golden. I've been trying to achieve this flawless look for the longest time! This brush allows the make-up to be blended in, instead of it just sitting on top of your skin. Before I was using MAC loose powder brush and Bare Mineral's flawless application brush (I believe it's called) and despite the minimal amount of make-up I would put on, it still always had the caked look and I just began to accept it until I bought this wonderful little brush. It did shed a little, but that was when my liquid foundation was still a little wet so I don't consider it a big deal. I get no streaks or dirty face look with this brush. Bronzer application is actually fun now! It's easy to use, and never applies heavily. I love it! You can buy the most expensive bronzers out there, but none of them will make a difference if you do not have an excellent brush to apply it with, and this is the most perfect multi-tasking brush I have ever seen....even compared to MAC!

All I can say is, WOW!!! This is one beautiful brush. Made me glow immediately. It is of the highest quality to go along with its very high price. Glad I bought Nars instead of the Prescriptives buff brush that I had been contemplating. I am ALMOST entirely a NARS girl (well, okay..since I'm 58 years old, I guess I'm a NARS woman!).

YES, this brush is pricey at $50 BUT... I find it to be worth the investment..Sephora's may be similar in look& half the price, but it doesn't have the same feel as the NARS brush..I use this not only for bronzer but for applying my mineral foundation.Bristles are dense and firm which gives flawless application to both products.Have washed this brush quite a few times and it has yet to start shedding.

Although it's pricey, this brush is worth every penny. The short handle is easy to use and the soft, densely packed bristles make application absolutely goof-proof. Unlike other bronzer brushes that simply deposit color onto skin, this brush allows you to buff the color onto your face. This creates an incredibly natural look with even the most pigmented of bronzers. A great buy!
