I got this at CVS for 75% off, so I may have paid a whole dollar for it. Wow, I now wish I would have bought all the ones left. This is a perfect color for my skin. I'm about an NW35 or 40, MUFE 45 so brighter colors like luminous is perfect for me.

Beautiful glow! I think it's pretty comparable to Nars - Mult Org, but, this has a bit less coral in it. So, if you're shooting for that perfect lil pinkie glow on your cheeks this is great! Also, a cute little dip down shelf built right in it for the brush it comes with! Sooo girly! And made in the USA!! How convenient!

First of all, I would like to tell all the babies down there vvv that this blush is called LUMINOUS. C'mon, you're going to need to expect some sparkle factor. However let me tell you, this blush is very glowy and gives you such a nice, healthy sheen....if applied to the correct areas! I don't see why people apply blush on the apples of their cheeks, it's not a natural look and with every pat you start to look more like a clown. You're supposed to extend it to the side of your face, and you don't put it directly on the apples, you start where the corner of your eye ends. ANYWAYS about the product:
Color: If you are anywhere from pale to olive you can see the pink very well, and stop comparing this to Orgasm cause it's NOT so don't expect MORE. It is a nice peachy pink, leaning towards the pink side. It is also a warm shade of peachy pink, but still looks good on cool tones nontheless. Also, the gold is actually finely milled, it's a slight shimmer...SHIMMER is not to be used if you have bumpy acne, large pores, or just dry nasty, flaky skin. The color is very natural and this blush has extraordinary pigmentation for its price.
Packaging: It's alright, nothing to say really. It's a snap top compact design with a compartment for a cheap brush underneath that really shouldn't be used unless absolutely necessary. It also has a mirror in the undercompartment which is quite small, but still somewhat handy.
Overall quality: I would reccommend this blush to people looking for something that makes their skin glow. It has a highlighter quality to it but can be used for a subtle blush if you are wearing heavy eye or lip makeup. The powder is soft and not chalky and the color payoff is excellent for its price of $7 varying on where you buy it.

Although I have never tried Nars Orgasm, I have to say that Luminous is a beautiful color and I have no need to move on to Orgasm! :) Color is brightening for the face, but at the same time very natural. Goes on smooth with an angled blush brush or stippling brush and easy to blend out. Lasts quite a while too, longer than the Milani Baked Blushes (although I really like them too!) Will definitely buy again. And maybe Mai Tai too.

I picked up this blush because people said this blush was comparable to NARS's Orgasm blush. The two blushes are not an exact dupe for one another since the Milani one is more of a pinky peach color. Nevertheless, this is a very nice blush to make it seem like your skin is glowing and dewy. It is a very pigmented blush but because of my skin tone, I have to pile on this blush for the color to show up.

I agree with all the positive reviewers about this blush. I have worn NARS Orgasm for over a year. I recently hit pan which is rare for me but I used it every day.
I continued to use the NARS even after I broke it and it shattered. However, I could no longer carry it in my purse.
I have found that Milani Luminese is a wonderful dupe for the NARS. I purchaed it in CVS and had a coupon which meant I only paid $5 for the blush.
I think this blush is just as good as the NARS and maybe a little bit better for daytime. I always thought the NARS might be a tad too sparkly at times. The MILANI has some gold shimmer but not as obvious on my skin.
I'd give it a try if you are a NARS O fan.

This is a perfect dupe for the coveted Nars Orgasm. After spending the big bucks on Nars one time, I spent so long trying to find a more affordable option since I use blush everyday and it was the perfect tone for me. Finally I don't have to look anymore. This is a perfect peachy pink tone and it gives my complexion such a natural glow. It is finely milled so it gives my cheeks a nice smooth look. A little definitely goes a long way. I find that I do have to reapply one time during the day but that could also be my addiction to blush :) Definitely get this if you are looking for a more affordable option to Nars. You will not be disappointed

This looks so much better on me then Nars Orgasm, it gives my complexion (F&B C3) with yellow undertones a pinky golden glow that looks gorgeous. I even got compliments in stores from SA's for my healthy glowy skin! It is finely milded and easy to blend the only downside is that I have to order it online because this brand is not sold where I live and that makes it a little more expensive.

This is a fairly recent purchase, but I'm loving this blush so far! It's a pretty peachy-pink that isn't too pink or too orangey. The shimmer is slight, making my cheeks look dewey, not sparkly. It also goes on very well - just a little touch of my brush is enough to blend perfectly on my cheek! I don't use the brush that comes with it, but I think the packaging is easy to use. You may have to reapply a little more often, but I think that this blush is worth way more than spending upwards of 30 on a similar color. I want to try more of Milani's blushes!

I don't own NARS's Orgasm blush so I can't compare but from the pictures these two blushes look identical. I bought it for 6 or 7 dollars at CVS and I'm really pleased with it. I'm NW15 and this product gives my cheeks a nice golden peachy glow, quite similar to the finish of Sleek's Rose gold (which I adore) but with a lot less sparkles and a bit less pigmentation. It's easy to apply and blend and it even comes with a brush (that I don't use, but it's a nice gesture). I would definitely rebuy.

I needed a blush to wear with bright red lipstick and this is what came up when I google searched! Apparently it is a good dupe for NARS Orgasm which I've never worn but heard a lot about.
I'm using it with my own brush and I find that it's not too sparkly. It gives you a warm peachy glow that looks great with a brighter lip or eye look. It was about $7 at CVS and I am going to take a second look at the rest of their products too.

I have been lemming for this forever. Since I dont live in the U.S, its really hard to get a hold of. But I managed to track down a local seller who purchases this in bulk from the U.S and sells it locally. The price is quite cheap. The color in the pan looks super-boring. And to be honest after wearing this for a week, I could say with great conviction this is perhaps one of those overrated hypes.
First of, the color. It is a light coral-pink blush and leans towards the pink spectrum more so than the coral and has TONNES OF GOLD specks. I wouldnt say that this has out right huge sparkles. Its more like tiny gold specks and if you look at it from a far it looks more like a sheen. I think the Gold specks are too overwhelming and unevenly distributed in the blush and when you apply it, the gold is more obvious than the light-coral pink blush.
The staying power sucks. it lasted about 3 hours or so before totally disappearing. And this, on me NC35, took more than 5 swipes before i could see any flush, but dont be fooled, by that time your cheeks would have been a mini golden disco ball, with a tiny hint of pink lights. So not really a pretty sight. If they had cut back on the golden specks, i think this would have made a pretty and interesting blush
I dont find the texture chalky as many have complaint. But i certainly wouldnt be buying this again. Such a huge letdown....SIGH~~~

So, after not using this for some time, I decided to wear it today. Well, maybe I know WHY I haven't used it for a while - because nothing shows up on my cheeks! It sort of opens up my pores more which sucks and leaves nothing but shimmer on my cheeks with no color whatsoever! If this is supposedly the dupe for Nars Orgasm, I'm so glad I didn't plunk down the funds for that one. It would've just made my cheeks two huge disco balls! Yup, I do believe I'll be tossing this when I get home. It deserves to go in "la garbagio" for sure!

I have Milani in Mai Tai first, and I absolutely love it, probably my all time favorite blush. So I thought, since this is the most famous Milani blush I would also like it. Unfortunately, I do not.
I have tanned skin, and all this looks like on my skin is gold shimmer. No color. Whatsoever. I have no idea how this shows up on anyone's skin. I'm giving it a 3 because I like the blush, its pretty, I just wish it turned up on my skin.

I wanted to try another Milani blush. I had tried Mai Tai because of great reviews and it didn't suit my coloring. I had also tried their baked blush in Luminoso, which I thought was a pretty color but just didn't do a lot for me. This blush, Luminous, it very pretty and I can see this work on many skin tones. For those of you who wanted to try the Tarte AC blush in Glisten, this may be a close dupe. This is a nice peachy-pink that isn't too bright, and has a goldish sheen to it, without making your skin looking oily. This is a great buy!

Lovely coral pink with golden sheen good for any occasion.
Oh how I miss thee, Milani Luminous. I bought it at CVS because I heard it's a Nars Orgasm dupe ; have never owned that famed blush so I don't know if it really is a cheap duplicate of Orgasm, but I loved this cheap blush nonetheless. It lasts fairly well on your cheeks for drugstore blush. And the color is just so lovely!
Wish I have stocked up on it, because I can't find any Milani product in Korea.

I'm very pale yet I when I apply this, it still looks like I'm not wearing any blush at all! I don't notice a difference in the least. Very disappointing especially when I see the rave reviews for it.

This review is for the old Milani Luminous, not the new mineral Luminous! I ordered one on eBay, expecting the newer mineral version and I got the older one. Oh well, all the same to me! :)
What else can I say about this blush that hasn't been described already?! Its pretty amazing and it lives up to it's hype. I'm about an NC35, very yellow/golden based and I was scared this would be too shimmery for my oily, giant pored face. This comes off more as a subtle sheen than a true shimmer (unlike Orgasm)! I prefer this one to Orgasm, actually. Which is so awesome because I'm saving so much money for other goodies. This comes up a pretty pinky-peachy glow on my medium warm skin. It is pigmented and easily buildable for a full flush or a sheer glow. It comes in a small, travelable flip top packaging with no brush/mirror opening on the bottom unlike the newer Milani Luminous. The sheen on this is gold and universally flattering on all skin tones. If you're a darker skintone and find that this doesn't show on your skin as much, I would pick up the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso. It is a truer peach with a punch of peachy color and subtle shimmer as well. I bought it because I thought it was a different version of Luminous. It is definitely more of a true peach, so if you're wishing Luminous is more peachy, check out Luminoso!
Anyway, I digress. So, luminous is overall a very pretty everyday color that isn't top overwhelming like Orgasm can sometimes be. It is very subtle and ethereal on the cheeks and imparts a gorgeous glow. I hear good things about the mineral luminous as well. It is slightly pinker than the old luminous and comes in a pan with a mirror and a brush. If you wish luminous was a touch more pink, pick up the newer Luminous!
Overall, I would definitely repurchase again and again. This blush is to die for :)

I nearly never wear blush, but I was looking kind of dead, and not in a hot gothic way, as I would have tried to rock on with. Prior to buying this I had only bought one blush in the past few years.
I didn't even know about this little guy's cult status as an Orgasm dupe when i found it, but I'm quickly catching onto the hype now. It looks fabulous on my fair skin, the shimmer isn't in-your-face, and it blends well. I look younger and healthier. If you generally side-eye blush or worry that it will make you look overdone, try to find one of these.
Cons: The brush it comes with is a stupid waste (why do they WASTE our time and money with these things?!) and it isn't incredibly long lasting.
