When I saw this on a MAC make up artist and the blue lover that I am I had to have it. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. I felt that it was hard to work with, not blendable, better tapped on, a bit chalky. I am not denying that it is a beautiful color and looks beautiful on people that can make it work but, not on me.

I absolutely adore this eyeshadow color! It's definetely a bright blue, that is for sure. This is the perfect permanent solution if you loved the discontinued eyeshadow 'Clarity.' The only difference between Electric Eel and Clarity is the finishes. Electric Eel is a satin and Clarity was a Matte2. Even though it is a satin, I still find the color hard to apply at times. This is definetely a color you would pack on instead of swiping. Overall, this goes on the top of my list for HG blue eyeshadows.

Pigmented bright blue shadow. You can add a little more oomph by wearing it over a cream shadow base. Great for a pop and pairs well with other blues, greens and browns!

This is such a pretty eyeshadow, although Im not fond of blue eyeshadows in general- I like putting a pop of blue here and there sometimes, and electric eel is perfect for that purpose......I used this on my lid today, and it was sooo bright! it just popped like nothing else, however, it took ages to blend (which is what Im finding with all the MAC shadows I have tried)....... I Then put NYX's golden amber on my crease to tone it down (Golden Amber is like a dark brown with flecks of gold) and NYX's black on my outer V and the color combination is perfection :) electric eel slightly peeks through, but without looking tacky. Most MAC eyeshadows have lucked out with me, however this one didn't to much (except for the uneven texture) Im glad I had a chance to swap for it. Its not an eyeshadow I will use religiously, but I do adore it ♥

Makes a great eyeliner for a pop of colour but I am not too fond of blue shadow on my skintone (NC42). Would not repurchase.

Luv it! Very bold, pigmented color I have had mine 3+ years so it has been a good investment. I am not daring enough to wear this alone, but when combined with swimming (from inner corner of eye just past half way then blending with eel and extending eel to outer corner) it is just the perfect effect for a going out look! It looks gorgeous with my brown eyes and cool skin tone.

i love this color. great color payoff. smudges well and is easily blendable. the only problem i have with it, is that when i am brushing it on i tend to get little flakies of it under my eye. this is usually not the case with mac and i find it very annoying. so one lippie off for that.

Definately an instant favourite of mine.
This is an intense, neon blue, I guess this is why MAC name this electric, because that it is! I wouldn't recomend this for those who play it safe, however, I would recomended this for the edgy, daring, and adventerous only. It's very pigmented and it is even more so using a base, and additional layers. This definately brings out a pop in light and dark eyes so, it's not your subtle, neutral, or classic go to eyeshadow. I love it!.

i had high expectations for electric eel and was let down big time. never liked the consistancy and it was always not pigmented enough. also really hard to blend and i just dont ever use it.

I love this eyeshadow and what really sold me on it is by how bold it is! If you're not shy with colors then this is definitely worth buying. It blends so easy, goes on VERY smooth and there's lots of fun looks that you can try with it, whether you're going out for the night or you just want to play around with some bright colors. Like I said, it's bold and it's a great buy if you're not shy - and another thing I loved is that it looks exactly the same on your eyelid (with primer) as it does in the pan. Love this shadow!!

I really wanted to like this eyeshadow but it just doesnt work for me. I find it too bright and garish for my pale skin. It would probably work better on darker skinned girls. Im not really sure how to use such a strong vibrant colour but gave it two lippies for strong colour payoff and the likelyhood that it would look good on those blessed with darker skins. Ill never use it and so obviously will not be repurchasing.

This was the shadow that made me love MAC. When I first went to MAC one of the MUA's there was wearing this all over the lid. It looked so amazing on her. She is very pale and her hair was black with magenta and this color just was perfection on her! So I was sold just seeing it on her. So vibrant!!

This color is great. Blendable, vibrant, true to the pan! I have hit the bottom of it and I will buy it over and over. I love this color so much! It pairs super with a lot of colors, especially Bitter. This is one of my most favorite MAC colors and I am still drawn to it everytime I visit MAC.

I would recommend this to people who aren't afraid to wear such a bold color.

This is the most vibrant blue I've eva seen, I love blues thats y Im so n love with this color, sometimes when i dnt feel like applyin eyeshadows i take this color on the tip of my brush & apply it as an eyeliner. gr8 4 summer

I was kind of disappointed with this. it wasn't at all the electric blue that i was looking for. it is a GORGEOUS color, dont get me wrong, but it isnt quite how it looks in the pan. it applies like more of a... dark sky blue? but after layering, becomes very very close to the color it looks in the pan. throughout the day it slowly becomes turquoise, which is very annoying. it still is a pretty turquoise, but it just isnt what i wanted this color for. i really dont understand why it turns turquoise... gah. i wouldnt buy this again, but i will still enjoy the rest of this pan, just not as much as if it had been the color i was looking for.
