I only spent, like, two dollars on this and it worked pretty well! For me, it mostly lengthens- but for some reason, it's hard to find mascaras that do that to my preference. I do love it, though it can clump, but a runover with a spoolie brush fixes that. I will definitely repurchase in different colors ( :

This is pretty cheap so you can afford to try it, but it's nothing special really. I thought it would thicken and lenghten my lashes, but it didn't deliver. I'd definitely pick it up again if I ever forget my lash discovery and have to get a mascara for cheap.

This mascara is pure crap! No matter how many coats I layered on it still didn't show! And the little fibers don't help either. I'm glad I only spent 50 cents on it!

Ok, so I got this mascara as a sample. I tried it, and I do like it. I love how it doesn't clump or smudge. The product coats my lashes evenly. I wouldn't mind if it lengthened a bit more though, b/c it only seemed to make my lashes darker & perhaps the tiniest bit longer.
EDIT: Ok, so I bought the full-size version and it's a complete waste of money. If you ever get your hands on a sample size, then that's the one to stick with. The brushes are completely different (bristles in the full-size are much farther apart) and the formula in the full-size is much wetter, leaving marks on my cheeks!

I bought this because I didn't have the cash for my usual mascara. I prefer the more expensive ones if I have a choice but if you need to buy a drugstore mascara it is definately worth a try...I think it is one of the best drugstore mascaras out there.

So surprised - I am loving this mascara! I threw away Jane's Fan Club mascara, it was useless to me - and I never throw anything away unless I've used it up! I bought Hi-Fiber for $.50 at a store that was clearing out their Jane stuff; for $.50 what could I lose? Well, it is perfect for me at work (an elem. school). I can apply a coat, rush out the door, and apply more when I get to school. It thickens nicely, is very dark, and does add length! I didn't get the funky-shaped brush at first (rather an elongated hour-glass shape) but I am finding it to my advantage as my eyes are small and deep-set. I prefer a curved brush, but use this one perfectly, reaching my outer-corner lashes with the tapered end of the wand. Because of working with children and being on a tight single-parent budget, I don't like to use my H/E MU for everyday....I WILL repurchase this for school, come the Fall!

good no frills cheapie mascara. as far as under-$4 mascaras go, the formula's pretty thick, so sometimes too much will get on the wand and give you clumpy results--easily fixed with a tissue or go through your wet lashes with a clean spoolie (which i always do, ever since Maybelline's Lash by Lash got discontinued). noticed that it has a nice honey smell to it. i like the consistency of their Fan Club mascara better, but would definitely buy this product again.

My new HG!! I love this product. There is a pic in my profile. I do not even need an eyelash curler with this. It lifts and curls my lashes and makes them very long. I do not have very thick or long lashes at all, and this gives me that false lash look that I want. You cannot beat the price on this either. It took me a couple times of practice to get it to not clump. The trick is to let the first coat dry all the way without trying to add more. Then add coats until it looks how you want it to. It will not clump if you let the mascara dry first! I will definitely buy more!!
EDIT: This mascara didn't hold up, it flaked pretty bad!

it's an okay mascara. Gave my lashes some length but not much volume, it clumps really easily.

On my eyelashes, this had the same exact effect as Lancome Hypnose. It made them very dark and long, and didn't smudge or run since it's waterproof (unlike Hypnose). Would definitely repurchase.

This was THE worst mascara I've ever used. Period. It's extremely clumpy and makes all lashes stick together. Try Maxfactor2000 instead.

Meh This mascara is ok if you get the sample size ( better wand ) But the blackest black... just isn't black enough for me.

Hi-Fiber is a great, cheap drugstore mascara. It isn't my favorite by far but it is certainly just as good, if not better, than many department stores mascaras including MAC, Lancome, and Estee Lauder. To avoid clumpiness, just lightly dab the wand onto a tissue before applying.

YIKES this stuff is clumpy. It's good for building thick, porn star-esque eyelashes, but it's not right for me. I already have long black lashes, I only use mascara for definition & I found this to be way too thick. I have to comb through it 3 or 4 times at least. This performs just fine otherwise, it holds up all day with no smudging, smearing or flaking, and it stays on till I remove it, so I'll use it up but I won't repurchase. EDIT: Now I really like it. Been using it every day now & I must say it's pretty damn good. I've learned to avoid clumps by skimming off the excess on the lip of the tube so I don't have to comb as much now. Also, I seem to notice a slight curling or 'lifting' effect to my lashes when I wear this. They seem to stand up a bit & make my eyeballz look bigger. This stuff really stays on all day, and even though I didn't buy the waterproof one, this mascara holds up under tears when PMS or my bitchy husband drives me to them. I haven't noticed any flaking or smearing at all, so I'm changing the rating to a 5 & I WILL repurchase after all!

I'm not impressed at all with Jane. This mascara flaked and gave me raccoon eyes every time I used it. Very poor product.

I was tired of spending so much money on mascaras like MAC Fibre and Versace. They are not doubt the best mascaras out there, but the price is a bit much for me. After a long search of great but cheap mascaras i finally found the one! My eyelashes stay curled all day which has never been possible. they definitly give a dramatic look, but thats what i was goin for

Great formula but the brush is completely worthless. I used a wiped off brush from a mediocre tube of L'oreal Lash Out and my lashes came out beautifully long but who has time to go through that everytime she wants to put on a coat of mascara?! Totally inconvenient.
