I really like this colour, but find it only really pairs well (at least on me) when I'm sporting a smokey purple eye OR wearing a outfit with purple in it. Otherwise it just sits in my makeup case.

This used to be one of my favorite colors, but now I have outgrown it. It's a pinky, plumish color that tends to blend right into my highly pigmented lips. It is very pretty but not on me. If plum dandy is too light for you try Fluid. That's my new fav color. It's similar to PD, just a little darker.

Gorgeous lippie! Beautiful plummy - golden - bronzey color, this is a chameleon of lippies; the color changes depending on what you wear or what type of light you are in. Does not feel dry on me at all. Plummier version of "O".
On me, it goes on more bronzey, so when I want a more Plum shade, I line with a plum colored liner and sometimes add a pink or mauve or plum lipgloss. Very versatile, pretty, complicated color! Try it!

I love this color. I can wear it for all seasons. I winter with a liner. In summer with a pink gloss on top. It just looks really good on me. I love the shine and texture. I have had many tubes of this, and I foresee many more in my future.

I bought this lipstick about 6 months ago. It looked lovely when applied under the lights at the MAC counter. The color was warmly plummy with a golden undertone. Unfortunately, the first time I saw it on on my lips after trying it on at the MAC counter was under the lights at the bathroom of my workplace, and I looked like a corpse! The lipstick looked greyish and my face ashen. After this experience, I was considering taking it back since I was convinced the color was pretty, but only under certain light therefore not suitable for me. I decided to hold onto it anyway and possibly hand it on to my sister since she has fair-medium skin with dark brown hair.
I discovered that if I wore a pink-red lipliner underneath this lipstick (try MAC pink treat cremestick liner) rather than my usual nude liner, it looked good under all light. So I have managed to make use of Plum Dandy. The frost finish and texture is comfortable for me (not as gritty as some Frosts from MAC) but I won't repurchase this color. The packaging and price is typical of MAC lipsticks, and Plum Dandy is part of MAC's permanent line.

I have very fair skin and this looks great! Never thought I would purchase a purplish lip anything, but it was recommended so I tried it and loved it!

It looks just too shiny and I think I'm getting tired of the purple tones.
It looks nice though if you wear it with lovechild lipglass

I actually like this color, and if applied lightly to the lips it can look fairly decent. This is also I color I tend to go over with Lure-X for a more beachy sort of look. I go over it with Fleur De Light for a more pink color, and that seems to help a little bit.
It wouldn't be something that I would repurchase though, but it's a nice color nonetheless.

I have lusted after this lipstick for an eternity. Even after I tried it out at MAC and it looked pretty darn atrocious under the fluorescent lights. Oh well, I decided I had to have it. So, it’s about to go on my swap list. Not that’s not a gorgeous color because it absolutely is! A nice rose-tinged plum color with gold frost overlay. It just doesn’t go well with my yellow complexion and oh yeah, I don’t like frost lipsticks. My dislike of frosts is why I swapped away my onetime love Sequin – Plum Dandy’s rosier sister. The staying power is pretty good for a lipstick and I love the slightly Vanilla scent! Sorry Plum Dandy, I guess I’m really just a lazy very neutral lip girl.

I love this color, and it has decent staying power, but the frostiness of this lipstick comes in the form of chunky glitter.

A beautiful find: frosty plum with a goldish tint. A bit drying, but lovely and definitely something I'll pick up again.

I'm very pleased with this color or shall I say shade. Its more of a hint of light plum with a beautiful frosted shimmer, then a deep plum. The shimmer frost is like diamond high quality shimmer over the plumish shade.Since I have yellow toned skin my lips have a natural pink to plum color hue. This lipstick brings my lips out wonderfully. It lasts a long time without rubbing off.Other ladies who have the natural hue will love this lipstick.I didn't give it a 5 because it actually feels heavy while wearing it.I'm in no way going to stop wearing it though. Its beautiful.

A very beautiful plum. Looks great with other shades of lipglass over it. It's deep enough to look elegant but light enough that I can wear it at work without looking too out of place.

This DOESN'T pair well with NC15 skin at all. If I wear it indoors, it looks ok, but if I go outdoors, it looks too purple with silver tone. Yeah, it did make me look dead, which is too bad because it looks so gorgeous in the tube. I won't be buying this again. :/

Like the nice man at the counter said, "Every hazel eyed girl needs Plum Dandy!", beautiful color that complements the eyes. A little dry so I touch up with lipbalm.

I'm glad this was included in the Holiday 2006 3 Pink Lips set, because I doubt I would have given it a second glance otherwise. But being a PPP, cool toned girl who's more than a little afraid of bold lip colour, this is perfect! This is a mauve MLBB shade made a little more interesting with bronze shimmer. The fact the shimmer is bronze and not gold is quite significant - I suppose it appears more muted and less glitzy, which means you can get away with it for daytime (or I think I can anyway, lol). The texture is a little drying, but that's easily counteracted by wearing a thin layer of lip balm underneath.

I normally steer as far away from frosts as I possibly can, especially MAC frosts due to their lack of a glossy finish. The reason for this, mainly, is that I have extremely wrinkled lips (and hands, for that matter) for my young age of 24, and wearing lip products with shimmer, glitter or sparkle seem to draw attention to that fact, detracting from the rest of my face. Like any other frost, this is also the case with Plum Dandy. However, this is an extremely beautiful shade. This seems to be a plum-violet base shade with an ever-so-slight peachy undertone and golden frost. This depth of color makes it a little hard to describe, but makes it extremely wearable for all skintones. If you have a cool skintone, it will correspond with the plum/violet. If you have a warm skintone, the warm undertones of the color and the golden frost will not be lost on you. This is truley a unique shade. I'm glad to have this in my arsenal, this is one of the only few frosts that I can pull off, albeit not on a daily basis. This is, by all accounts and purposes, an "on occasion" shade. I am giving this a rating of 3 lippies, but will not repurchase.

Buy Sophisto instead of this one. Too muted. Decent, but won't rebuy.
