Smells delish! Like vanilla or cookies or something. It has beautiful shimmer that makes my lips look scrumptious :). Haha. Isn't sticky at all.

This is a review for the color "Discrete"
The Good:
Love the color, a beige-ish mauve
Silky consistancy
No funky smell or taste
Very high gloss shine
The Bad:
Wish she made this color in a L/S
Color doesn't last that long
Shine fades quickly
Expensive
Even with the cons I like the color so much that I'm sure I'll purchase it again.

This review is for the Lip Glace in Blush. It's not the most exciting color out there, but nevertheless it's kind of a hard color to find in a lip gloss.
It's a neutral medium mauvey pink that has hints of salmon and plum. For a gloss in this shade, it has a ton of pigment - especially for someone who has very pigmented lips, like I do. Like others have said, the Glaces are on the creamier, liquid lipstick end of l/g, but it's definitely glossy and very buildable.
The formulation is nice and moisturizing and doesn't get sticky, which is a big plus. The smell is really overwhelming at first - which was initially off-putting to me and the first time I tried it I about gagged. However, it completely fades after a couple of minutes.
I've actually been looking for this color in a gloss for a long time, and the more I look at it, the prettier it is. Great purchase.

Pros
-smells lovely-like vanilla
-package is nice and the wand tip is great for application
-goes on smooth
-colour is nice and matches my complexion well (pink champagne)
Cons
-feels a bit greasy on my lips (like Vaseline)
-colour doesn't last long
-looks more like a lipstick on my lips then a gloss

I was given a few of these to test. I have the Beige, Lilac, Bellini, and Clear -- and quite frankly they are nice. That is it -- just nice.
the smell is vanillaesque. the packaging is par for the course of Glosses, the shine is good but not fantastic.. and the price is quite high for a gloss.
if I had to pay for it, I would pass.

I own this in pink diamond, it's a nice shimery gloss, a little sticky for my tastes, but it smells nice. It look nice over lipsticks and alone, unfortunately it dried out my lips.

One of my favorite lip glosses, I always have bare beige in my bag. It's a very natural beige color that works well on pale asian skin. I can use it in the daytime alone, or nighttime with smokey eyes. One lippie off for the super strong scent, Laura Mercier products should not smell like BonneBell lipgloss for twelve year olds.

I own this in BonBon. Most lip glosses are pretty OK in my opinion, but this one really does last and it doesn't bleed or dry out my lips. Also, the color is adorable and I love the smell. Pricey, but not a bad buy.

I love this gloss, but be careful to store it upright in your purse otherwise it dribbles into the cap and makes a mess. Feels great and smells delicious.

I just can't get behind a $22 gloss unless it is amazing. This is good, but not amazing. It's sticky too, if you don't like that be warned. Mine also went bad fairly quickly...

I wanted to try this because Dr. Phil's wife wears this and her lips are always soo pretty and glossy on the show. I got this in Blush, from Sephora.com and it turned out to be way too light for me. It was true color and not sheer. Not as shiny or glossy as it looked on Mrs. McGraw. Also, it was very very runny and ended up almost dripping off my lips and looking messy. Hard to get even coverage because of the consistency.
Gave this to a lighter skinned friend and at least the color worked for her. One plus, it has a pretty vanilla smell

love, love LOVE this. this was my first time purchasing this product after hearing how great this lip glace is. it even smells delicious...which if you know me, that's a HUGE plus. It looks so sleek, and stylish! I can tell this is going to be a favorite for me, so that definately means I'll be repurchasing when the time comes, heck...I'd even love to get another one of these in a different color. I highly recommend this lip glace, it's everything it says it is! :)

These lip glosses are the best that I have tried so far, I have tried Clinique, EL, Lancome, MAC, Stila, NARS, Chanel, Dior, Shiseido etc. They are similar to Chanel and Dior but I think they apply much more smoother and just look much more natural. I really like the taste, it is like vanilla (I thought it was very similar to MAC) which is a great change from NARS plastic taste. None of the colors are too shimmery or glittery and they don't give an overly glossy look. These glosses are not sticky at all and don't feel heavy or tacky when applied. They last a pretty long time when I applied too. The packaging although LM changed it recently is still not very original, though it is not bad either. Overall these are the best glosses I have tried so far, perfect for day and night. These are either $26 or 28 CND last time I checked (June-July) which is not bad when comparing to other higher end lines. Previous favorites were NARS lg (which are the best except for the taste, can't buy for that reason) and Chanel Cristalle (on my last tube, this line was discontinued and glossimers are not that great imo from what I have tried). These glosses stay true to the lines philosophy of enhancing your natural beauty, 5 stars from me.

I looove the color.. I think it must be a new color, "Lilac" because I don't see it reviewed. Anyway.... my big problem with the gloss is that is disappears quickly and it is VERY drying! Not good for me, because my lips get chapped and dry very easily on their own. I am going to keep this and try to make it work because I love the color (very sheer cool pink with sparse amount of multicolor glitter), but I would not repurchase... I need to find a more moisturizing version with staying power. Overall, poor performance for the high price!

I was at Sephora the other day using my birthday gift cards and was having a hard time finding a new gloss to buy. I am a die hard MAC lipglass girl so I should have known to just stick with them! This gloss (Brownberry) was such a pretty color in the tube and didn't seem sticky like some glosses can be. I purchased it and slicked some on in the car on the way home. I noticed a little later that my lips started to really tingle and burn, by bedtime I had to smother my lips with lipglass to get some moisture back into them. This gloss is VERY drying and it's surprising because of the supposedly moisturizing ingredients like shea butter. I won't re-purchase this and feel like I wasted my birthday money!

I paid $20 for this at Sephora and unfortunately it isn't being used, but because I paid so much, I can't throw it away yet. I seriously think I just am not a lip gloss person - my hair gets caught in it. Not sure what color I have - a clear color with some subtle pinky, peachy shimmer. Why Laura M. doesn't put the color on the tube, I do not know. So no repurchase from me, but I am not a gloss expert either.

I got a sample of Baby Doll in my Nordstrom's catalog and fell in love. I'm a lipgloss junkie and this formula and color addressed all my needs. It was shiny, without being too sparkly (the irridescent sparkles are small, so tey simply enhance the appearance of shiny lips). I also LOVE the smell - like a beachy summer day, it somehows smells like coconuts and the ocean all at once.
Even with the pale-ish color (Baby Doll), the lasting power is amazing for a light (non sticky) gloss. It also seems to have magical powers on my lips, making the feel soft and look bigger than ever.
That said, I hope I don't end up having problems later with the smell. I'll report back if I do!
Edited to add: I'm revisiting my review because I've suddenly become disechanted with this product. I'm not sure why I thought it had such staying power. I seriously think the sample was better than the real product, on which I based the review.

I've gotten three samples of the Laura Merier Lip Glace from my online Nordstrom orders. When I got the first sample I was a little apprenhensive, as I am not a huge lip gloss/ lip anything person and figured this wouldn't win me over at all, just like everything else hadn't. But to my surprise, I tested it out and absolutely adored it, the taste and smell especially. (LOL)
I applied this lip gloss with a lip brush on unlined, primed lips one day and applied it again the next day unlined, but without the Prep & Prime lip by MAC. I wanted to compare the lip gloss to see if it would hold up on its own or if it was one of those lip glosses you had to constantly reapply without primer. Much to my surprise the lip gloss lasted a VERY long time without the primer and looked just as fresh and beautiful at the end of the day as it did at the beginning of the day. After receiving my samples I decided to do some research and buy some full sized tubes; eventually I'll have all of them, I love this lip gloss that much.
The color range is fantastic--17 colors (amber rose, baby doll, bare beige, bellini, blush, bonbon, *bronze, brownberry, champagne, crystal, *gold, lilac, opal, petal, *platinum, rose & violet)--with three different coverages (sheer, medium or full) and three different finishes (shimmer, shine or sheer). This gives the considering customer different levels of pigment to choose from. [lip glosses with stars are with the Gold Digger collection]
The lip glosses aren't just pigmented, they really benefit your lips cosmetically (some cool plumping agents) and physically (the lips are moisturized and don't dry out throughout the course of wear). The lip glosses contain vitamins A&E, shea butter, evening primrose oil, jojoba oil, and more.
The one thing I truly hate about some lip glosses is the excessive shimmer. With these lip glosses, for those of you who are concerned with the same thing, don't worry, because the shimmer lip glosses are not overly shimmery or glittery or "clown like" at all.
The only actual complaint I have with these lip glosses is that the applicator is a sponge. I hate hate hate hate hate sponge applicators, but I apply all lip products with a lip brush anyway. Oh, and they're $22.00 USD each, so they're pretty pricey, but worth it.
Overall the lip glosses are great because they are pigmented, moisturizing, tasty, have nice scents, long lasting, buildable, non-sticky, anti-oxidant, anti-aging, non-bleeding, non-feathing, lip conditioning, and plumping. The advertisements aren't lying!
The downsides are the price and the sponge tip applicator, but that latter is a personal preference and should not detract from this review for those MUA members who don't mind sponge applicators.

I don't own many Laura Mercier products, so when I got a little sample card of this with a beauty.com order (I think), I used it and LOVED it but had never heard of it. Shiny, perfect color, actually lasted on my lips. I immediately ordered a couple of tubes. Then, I checked out the MUA reviews. I'm totally on-board with the reviewer below me-I could not believe the bad reviews! IMO, this is the perfect lip gloss, though way too expensive. However, isn't all LM stuff overpriced? BTW, I understand this is a reformulated version, so maybe that's why the newer reviews are more positive?

I am really surprised this product didnt get better reviews. I am not a huge fan of lip gloss which it why the product didnt get a 5 from me, however, as lip glosses go, I thought this one was exceptional. Really shiny, not as sticky as other glosses, and lasts a long time. I loved the way my lips looked wearing this gloss and am shocked so many others didnt like it.
