This foundation is great . It offers medium coverage, it's very light on the face and gives you a silk finish and glow. For me it works better during summer, but I use it on winter sometimes along with other foundations when I want fuller coverage.

Really did not like this foundation. I found it to be really cakey on me, drying, and made me look white as a ghost in flash photography. I didn't even finish the bottle so it was a waste of money.

I am really satisfied with this foundation. As the name already says, it has a luminious fininish which is a must for a mature and dry skin. Lovely...

I don't get all the hype around this foundation. I found it really hard to blend and it looked very cakey on me. I don't usually have a problem with oil on my skin, I happen to be pretty dry, but something in this foundation made me a grease ball. Within a few hours of wearing it I noticed it breaking down on my cheeks and my chin. When I touched up with a powder it got even more cakey. I returned after wearing it 3 times as I had the same experience each time.

I bought this foundation when it first came out at SAKS and went through a few bottles and now many years later I am coming back to it because I really like the coverage plus the lightweight feel when you it on. I get oily in the tzone and this foundation seems to keep everything in place. I am currently using the Chantecaille just skin and definitely buying this again after I run out.

This will forever be my go-to foundation for special occasions. The formula is absolutely wonderful. I would recommend that due tonthr coverage, that you use small amounts at a time to achieve your desired amount of coverage. It's quite easy to over do it with the texture being so luxurious. I would aso recommend that you take a sample with you to make sure it is suitable for your skin. It's very dewy, and with me having normal-dry skin it gave my skin that extra moisture that it needed to give it that glow. If you have oily skin, I personally think that this is more for those with drier skin, but ask for a test or go to counter, ask to try it and see how it lasts on you. I used to shade 6.25, next time I think I'll opt for one with more of a yellow undertone to it as this was quite pinky. But it was nothing that was noticeable on me. If you have the budget for this in your make-up bag, it's worth it. Absolutely beautiful product.

Medium to high coverage. This foundation is just amazing. I think it's worth the price. I only use it for special occasions. Stays in place for hours.

This doesn't cover eeeeverything. Blemishes here and there will show but I still think this is a really good foundation.

Recently repurchased my second bottle. I used to use LM mineral foundation, cakey and no, no, no. The GALS bottles last a VERY long time using 1-2 pumps per application. I have normal to dry skin with a slightly oily t-zone, with red-pink undertones, and GALS 4.5 shade matches and evens my skin tone out beautifully. I do not use for full coverage, and some blemishes do show through a little, but I don't mind that. I use a small bit of concealer to cover up blemishes. I apply the foundation with my fingers or the GA blender brush, directly over my moisturizer. The GA blender brush does do something different for the application, but I'm not convinced it's better than using clean fingers. The foundation lasts all day even when I'm running around in the hospital, and it looks natural and beautiful. I bought the GALS compact pressed powder for touch-ups, but I rarely need to touch up! Sometimes I mix the foundation with GA fluid sheer for a 'dewy' look, and use other fluid sheers for liquid blush. Love love love. Huge shout-out to the sales manager at the GA counter at Bloomingdales on 59th st in NYC for his excellent, amazing teaching on how to apply.

I purchased this because I heard so much hype about it! I paid roughly $60NZD on strawberrynet (which I thought was quite good!)

When you apply it, it's almost moisturizing! Hence the name luminous! The texture is perfect - not too heavy not too light and has a medium buildable coverage. BUT the only downside for myself and my oily girls out there - it doesn't last on me! After maybe 2-3 hours I am a greasy mess!

However I still use it, I mix it with my other foundations when I go out at night to make my foundation not look too "flat"

Packaging 10/10! Comes with pump + lid and gorgeous luxurious bottle. Overall great foundation I imagine for all other skin types! :)

After taking back one color that was way too light (3) and swapping it for a better match (5) i can now rate this foundation highly. At first i was just using it on my moisturised skin and my t zone got oily and my nose was patchy but then i tried with a primer (just a cheap one from australis) and it stays much longer and sits on the skin beautifully. I recently got microdermabrasion and my skin looks flawless after applying this foundation with a damp beauty blender, it covers my pigmentation and blemishes and i just use my mac pro longwear concealer and hourglass dim light as a setting powder and it looks natural and it feels really lovely on as well. Usually i hate the feeling of makeup and am dying to cleanse as soon as i get home but with this foundation i forget I'm even wearing anything and i leave it on until right before i go to bed. Yes its pricey but the packaging is lovely and you get alot of product and i only use 1 pump to cover my whole face evenly
