It's just not very good to your skin. Just buy something else. This made my (NOT SENSETIVE)-skin SOOOO RED. Like tomato-red.

This is my first time trying out this product from clearasil. Its a little bit stingy and drying when i used it. Few days later i notice a little bit out somewhere on my face. I am not too sure if this product really works for me...Im thinking about returning it.

I really wanted this to be the perfect one. My brother, who had severe acne when he was a teenager, recommended this to me. My acne is moderate-severe, and my breakouts happen almost daily. When i first tried this at 10, i didn't like it. Now at 15, i remember why. It was slightly burning when lathering on the face, and made my skin more irritated than usual. Using it for 4 days now, the burning happens when the water rinses it off, and now i don't think i want to use it anymore. Ingredients had alcohol, sodium, and fragrance in it, which is really bad for acne marks. My scars have been getting darker these past few days too. I don't recommend it unless your skin is tough and oily.

I just bought this cleanser. So I can't comment on how well it is clearing up my breakouts. But I can say that its scent is light and doesn't bug my allergies. And it didn't not leave my skin feeling dry and tight. I will be back in a few weeks with an update. The description on the back of the packaging promises a "guarantee or your money back".

I really love this face wash because it cleans my face well from oil to makeup. I have an oily face that's hard to control and the oils have cause me to have bad acne problems. When I first picked this up, I only got it because I needed to wash my face with something basic. Then when I used it a couple of times, my face improved rapidly! I was so amazed. Not only did my face feel clean, but it got rid of a lot of acne! I know it's not specifically made for acne but it just did good. I assume it cleaned my pores that well. It's a must for oily faced people who get acne from your oils or get clogged pores.

I really like this cleanser. I have had acne since I was a teen(I'm now 21) and i don't think this is a miracle product, but it is a great daily cleanser. It lathers into a white foam on my face, and it cleans well without drying my skin. With my combination skin, some cleanser can make my cheek area dry.
It has a good faint smell, that is not the kind i get sick of after a while.

Well, I had been using Clearasil for a few years with not a whole lot of results. It didn't seem to do much for my acne and it made my face very dry and flakey.

A fine basic cleanser, but nothing special. I bought this when I couldn't find my usual cleanser. I like the thick texture, and I only need a little bit to get a nice lather. Leaves your skin squeaky clean. I think it's a bit drying for the winter months, but would probably be fine in the summer. It has a mild "fresh" scent in the bottle, but for some reason, I don't like the scent when in the shower. $3.97 for 6.5 oz in WalMart.

I don't like writing negative reviews because different products work for different people. I have periodic breakouts and this daily wash does nothing special for me. I've used this product many times after make up removal, and it always left my face dry (I use daily and night moisturizers) and left traces of foundation (evidenced by toner) that other cleansers would have taken off. I kept going back to this product because it is Clearasil after all, and I used to think it was a good basic product. I must have used this product for 7+ years thinking there was nothing comparable or better out there. I started experimenting with other cleansers and realized this is not the one for me. I keep it around because I hate wasting products no matter how cheap, but I may only use it once a week, if that often, or when I'm staying overnight somewhere because this container is easier to pack than my pump bottles. This is probably a good basic cleanser for someone with oily-combination/oily skin, so I'm not going to completely knock it. But definitely don't think you're alone out there if Clearasil turned out not to be the best for you. My mom and friends think I'm crazy for not swearing by this stuff.

you only need a small amount to lather up your entire face. it is a little bit drying, but i always use a tad bit of moisturizer after i cleanse anyway. definitely worth your money. smells great also. but always remember to rotate your cleansers every 1.5 months or so!

Sigh. Had great expectations. I wanted something gentle and effective. After the first day I felt some very mild itchiness. I thought it was nothing. But after every use for the next 6 days, I felt it after using this. THe 6th day it was just undeniable. My skin was so irritated....it was a slight burn. I know there is a sensitive skin version but honestly I am too scared to try even that after this experience.

It lathers up nicely, you really only need a pea sized amount to be able to cover your whole face with the cleanser, so the product lasts a long time.
It leaves a clean feeling to my face, and isn't overdrying.
It does seem to keep my face from breaking out terribly prevents my acne to get worse over time (you know that pimple that just gets redder and bigger over night?).
It doesn't have any acne fighting ingredients in the cleanser which I wish it had. But hey it does it's job at cleansing your face.

It leaves a nice tingly feeling on my face after using this but it did not prevent me from breaking out. Especially around that time of the month. I don't think it helped much really.

I have been lured away from this product many times with empty promises of clear skin and shiny packaging. I always come back. Amazing what can work so well for around $4.

I've been buying this for over ten years now. Recently I decided I was too old for it and switched to Cetaphil, then an expensive brand cleanser.... both dried out my skin in areas and didn't help with breakouts. Back to Clearasil I'm going. My skin is combination, with occasional hormonal breakouts on my chin. This keeps it clean, free of breakouts, without drying it out or leaving a weird residue. It's worth noting that while my friend lived with me, she used this and it also cleared up her skin - which is heavily prone to blackheads and breakouts. It's definitely not the most sophisticated-looking cleanser but so far it's done a great job and it's cheap.... so I'll be buying this as long as it's working.

Gosh this smells so refreshing! It's not for people with frequent acne (luckily not me), but for people with the occasional breakout. Keeps my skin smooth and does not dry out. It doesn't have any active ingredients in it, but it prevents my pores from getting clogged.

I have used this face wash for years and years, probably 10+! My first facewash ever. I've tried other things, but always ended up coming back to this! It smells great, leaves my skin feeling clean without over drying, or leaving a greasy feel. I love this face wash, and will continue to use it!

I love this face wash! It creates a good lather, never dries my skin out, and when I am feeling lazy it even does a good job cleaning off eye make up. Anytime I have tried switching to a different or more expensive face wash I end up breaking out but as soon as I start using this stuff again the breakouts disappear. Coincidence? I think not. I would definately recommend this for anyone looking for a good super cheap basic cleanser.
