My mom has this in a jar; it's not a night cream but a thick pink vaseline-looking emollient. During the winter months sometimes my eyelids get dry, flaky, & red. I recently put a 10% benzoyl peroxide pimple treatment on my face & my whole face ended up in this dry, textured rash; NOT PRETTY! (I just read on acne.org that 10% is way too much & the most ppl should use is 2.5%) Everything I put on my face & eyes for the few days after burned (so I wasn't even going to try this) & my Alba unpetroleum wasn't working . So after a few days I was still textured & flaky but my skin wasn't as sensitve, so I decided to try this & TA-DA the morning after everything was smooth & perfect again. It's a staple & it works!!

TERRIBLE SMELL!!! This product reminds me of Vaseline worn by a 80 year old woman with bad taste in perfume. Judging from the ingredients list, that's basically what it is. Unless you're particularly attracted to that scent, just buy some Vaseline for chapped hands/face/lips.

Ok, so my first impression of this was that is was pink vaseline (and it does contain a hefty dose of petroleum jelly but that's not the ONLY ingredient) and I was hesitant to use it on my face, but then I moved to Colorado, just as I entered my thirties, and DEAR GOD my skin became so dry and flaky over the winter that I dug through my skincare stuff for the pink vaseline and I LOVED it. It forms a protective barrier, which you need in cold icy wind, and it also seemed to help the flakes slough off. Very comforting when you feel beyond repair!

It's also very nice as a lip balm, although it's not marketed as such.

A lot of people mind find it too thick but I use it as a night cream for my face. Even though it contains mineral oil as one of the first ingredients I have never had ONE clogged pore from this cream. In fact, I find that it helps to clear breakouts away! I take a little bit and rub it between my hands to warm it up and I apply it all over my face and lips. Sometimes if I apply too much I blot with a towel or some kleenex and when I wake up in the morning the appearance of many pimples has diminished and my face is smooth and moisturized!

Like other reviewers said, it's also great for moisturizing hands, feet, knees and elbows but I'd only use this on my face or anywhere else at night so that it can soak in while I sleep.

Price: It's $23.50 for a tall thin tube but I use such a small amount at a time that the price is definately worth it. I think my last tube of this lasted me over a year.

Packaging: A tall, thin tube with a screw on cap. You have to be careful not to squeeze too much out because a little goes a long way. I sometimes cut the tube open when I get down to the very bottom because the cream is thick and a lot can get stuck in the tube.

I will continue to buy this cream for as long as they make it, prodvided they don't change the formula.

I've been using this product for years, I hope they don't try to change it. I use it on my hands, elbows and feet. I apply to my hands every night and won't be without it!

This is the best product I've found for chapped, cracked, chewed on lips... and believe me, I tried thousands of dollars worth of over-hyped products. While it is not the most fabulous smelling for a lip product (which it technically isn't, so I can't take a l/s off for that), it isn't offensive by any means. It isn't cheap either, BUT if you're using it just for lips, it will last you forever. I've just barely run out of a tube I've had for 4 years! A little goes a very long way with this wonder salve. It isn't marketed for this use, but trust me on this fellow chronic lip chewers: this stuff works!.

Ok, I do hve to say that being a rep I get this in some nice 1 oz tubes which are perfect to tuck into just about any bag. I haven't used this for anything other than cuticle and my lips but I absolutely love it for both. It keeps my lips so nice and moisturized (I basically use only this and vaseline) and I am trying to be as modest as I can when I say that I get complimented for my lips quite a bit. lol I only wish my skin got this much regard :P
Anyways I have heard this can be used for just about anything but its a little too tacky for me on any place but my lips or cuticles. If it works or you otherwise that is great though! As it is so concentrated it lasts ages too!

Here are the ingredients as well, seeing as how they are so difficult to find online:
Petrolatum, Mineral Oil, Paraffin, Beeswax, Candelilla Wax, Hydrogenated Soy Glyceride, Fragrance, Carnauba Wax, Stearic Acid, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, Menthol, Red 17.

I love this for the wintertime when my poor face gets windburnt, my hands, lips, and feet get chapped. It's basically petroleum jelly that's fragranced and has a bit of menthol in it but I love it.

I recently slippped on a sheet of ice and skinned my knee something awful and I used this on my knee once it started getting itchy. The intense mosturization formed a protective barrier and took away the itch.

Hmmm. Pink vasoline. I was using it as a night hand ointment with thin cotton gloves. After three nights, the gloves were pink and my hands were softer and more moisturized but I could have achieved the same results with vasoline.

I've only been using this for about a week, but the results have been nothing less than fantastic. Background: combo skin that is dehydrated; oily T-zone with cheeks/nose that flake. Throw in subzero winter air and retinoid use (Tazorac), and my skin in the winter is parched yet strangely shiny. I was getting a tad desperate - my skin was flaking during the day and it was NOT attractive. So when I went home for the holidays, my mom suggested to me this cream, which she swears by for winter skin. I was hesitant- I'm prone to clogged pores and the main ingredient is petroleum jelly. So I washed my face at night, leaving the face a bit damp, I rubbed a tiny bit of MK Extra Emollient Night Cream into my skin, and then followed with my Tazorac. My skin remained tacky but it was absorbed about 20 minutes later. And when I woke up, I was shocked that my skin was incredibly smooth and soft, and more even-toned in color. My skin didn't flake and remained smooth through the day, and wasn't any more oily than normal. I'm loving these results and will continue to use this cream provided that my experience with it stays the same.

Over the past few months, I have dealt with severely chapped lips as a side-effect to the antibiotics and creams to help with my rosacea. The skin right under my lips would chap and flake like crazy while taking the antibiotics. This cream saved my lips. It's one of my favorite lip balms. I also love it as a cream for my feet, elbows and any other really dry patch of skin as well as a cuticle cream. I will always keep a tube of this cream around.

This stuff works great for chapped lips or cracked heels! It feels really greasy so this is for night only. Love the smell though!

My mom gave me a sample tube of this, as she has been using it for years and loves the slightly greasy feel. I have norma/dry skin and like something heavy on my face in the evening. This definitely protects, but there are no ingredients in this to improve luminosity or texture. I will keep this tube in my travel bag for when I am in dry climates. I also bought a full sized tube on ebay as I enjoyed using this on my dry sunburn, hells and elbows.

This is an oldie but a goodie! My face was severely dry and chapping from acne products so I dug thse out of my mom's makeup bag. When I say I was peeling, I mean like flakes from hell. Snow, is a better word. I put this on at night and was already soothed. It's greasy, don't get me wrong this stuff definitely is for nighttime only and is not to be used regularly unless you have severely dry skin. It's like souped up vaseline with wax in it. But goodness does it make your skin soft and smooth the next morning. Also get's rid of chapped lips like nobody's business. I actually like the fragrance and it's pink color. But's it's Mary Kay, I wouldn't expect anything less.

I also use this as an eye cream for moisturizing only, there is no anti-aging stuff in it. But if your dry, this will do the trick.

Use it on dry, cracked feet too. It's awesome for that!

Good stuff, tube lasts an eon, so it's a bargain.

All hail the 'pink cream!'

I put this on my face, eyes, lips, hands, feet, elbows, knees...it's all purpose. I even pack my nose in it after a cold to fend off the awful redness associated with all that sniffling and nose blowing.

I love this stuff - everyone should keep a tube of it on hand.

I have a tube of this,, and it is great for elbows, knees, and lips. I would think if you have very dry skin it would be great on your face, but I don't. I love the smell of it. It reminds me of my grandmother! It is great on hands and feet followed by gloves/socks then go to bed. They will feel brand new in the morning!
