My husband and I have been using for about 1 week. Both of us noticed improvement. Hubbie have a very thick "think-line" which has softened. He likes the way the skin feel "tighter" in the morning. My think line has softened up a bit as well.
I have acne prone skin and so far no blemishes.
Will update at the end of 30 day. So far so good.
I get them at Bed Bath and Beyond for $15...not bad at all.

I have developed a concentration line on my forehead that came be quite deep at times. These little beauties help erase (!) that line within a couple overnight applications. Amazing. I always remove mine in the shower after they've had a chance to moisten and soften - otherwise: Youch!

This product is the world's best secret. Truly trains your face to stay unlined and taught... I look much much younger than my age and I know it partially because of this. I even have them on right now as I write this LOL!!

I've been using this product for a year or two now, though I don't use it religiously. That said, it does seem that the next morning when I remove the Frownie, that the particular wrinkle I placed it over is less noticeable. Also, the general concept makes total sense to me...that if you use certain facial muscles more than others, that over time you'll develop wrinkles. So the Frownie helps to temporarily 'freeze' the muscle, or prevent it from moving, while the Frownie is in place. Plus I believe in natural remedies....getting to the root of a problem. I don't believe in cosmetic surgery or anything. So Frownies are perfect for me.
I want to take some time to give you newbies some tips I learned. I don't think the Frownies makers were very good in telling people HOW to use this product. There are lots of things I learned over time that you can only know if you've used the product, OR if Frownies were to give you this info along with the product.
1) Depending on the style of Frownie (hereafter referred to as "F") that you buy, whether for lips, eyes, etc., some of the F's can be too large for the area you want to focus on. There's no reason why you can't cut the F's down to whatever size you want. The shape really won't make that much difference.
2) The idea of the Fs as I understand it is to adhere strongly to a certain part of your face, so as to prevent the muscle from moving. Most people use the Fs overnight. When you are ready to apply the F, I think they suggest that you tap on the skin first...to sorta help loosen up the muscle. Then you lightly wet the back of the F and then press it on to the skin. I myself only wet the CENTER part of the F and then press it onto my skin. I then make sure that none of the edges of the F are sticking to my skin by lifting them up slightly so that the sharp edges are facing outward, and not towards my skin.
The reason for this is....I fiound that, whether you cut the Fs down to size or not, that if you wet the entire backing and then press it to your skin that, the edges of the F will often dig into your skin a bit. Nothing bad or necessarily painful mind you. But what I found in such instances was....when I woke up the next morning, I had 'dent' marks in my face from the edges of the F. For this reason I only wet the CENTER of the F, to make sure that none of the hard edges are sticking to my skin.
3) The glue backing on the Fs is VERY strong and when it comes time to remove it, you gotta work at it. Now that doesn't sound like a very nice thing for your skin now does it...having to fight with the product to get it off of your skin?! :-) Therefore, I only apply Fs on nights when I know I am taking a shower the next morning. (Usually in the Winter I only shower every other day, so Fs only get put on the night before a shower.) The reason for this is that, the steam from the shower will GREATLY help in softening the glue on the F. While I am in the shower (or even if you are simply trying to remove the F over your sink), I will first splash warm water all over the F. The warmth will begin the softening process of the glue. You need to keep splashing warm water, and eventually you should be able to take your fingernail and gently begin lifting up the edges of the F. Once the edges are lifted up I will wet the F some more, knowing that the warm water can now begin getting under the F. Then just continue with your normal showering. Usually by the end of the shower, the F will easily come off.

I just turned 51. and just received my first box of frownies. I have 2 areas of concern. 1) I have a down turned expression of the corners of my mouth. This is when it is in a relaxed, neutral position. I recognized the problem long ago when people would say "smile, it can't be that bad" because it looks like I wear a permanent frown. 2) The eye area. I notice I'm getting those corner of the eye drooping eyelids. A curse of the Irish. I'm not sure if the application of the frownies at the corner of my eyes is appropriate, or if I should use them above my eyebrows in attempt to lift the downward shifting eyebrow area. I haven't found these particular problems addressed in the reviews I've read.
Don't have any "11" yet as I don't furrow my brow. I HAVE USED BOTOX, with great success for newly noticeable crow's feet, (before deep creases have become permanent) and with relaxing the downturned muscles in my mouth. After a few years, these treatments don't always fit into my budget. I'm going to start the frownies tonight. I have a dermatologist appt. for Botox on 3/1. I'm hoping w/ the pre and post use of frownies, the expensive Botos treatments will last longer. I'll let you know! thanks. L

(This review is for the brown paper style frownies) I had a concentration crease between my brows that just would NOT go away no matter what AHA lotion I tried. These patches worked.
I had some discomfort: the corners were a little "pokey", but it wasn't so much the wearing that was uncomfortable, but the way my head felt afterward. I had a pretty bad stress headache for two weeks from forcing those little muscles to relax. I stuck it out because I really feel that the crease made me look angry, and looking angry all the time was becoming a problem for me personally in regards to my ability to deal with other people. I feel I should emphasize that my pain was due to the cause of the offending wrinkle. For what it's worth, I'm now trying it out around the corners of my mouth, and while it's definitely pokey, I'm not experiencing any cramping afterward.
Bottom line: this works if you are disciplined enough to put the patches on every night, and are willing to wait for a few weeks. It may be a little uncomfortable to wear, but it's far safer and cheaper than surgery and very effective.
ETA: I now cut all points on frownies down and make them curved. This has helped tremendously with making them more comfortable. Also, I have noticed a "knock-on" effect from using them on my forehead: the crow's feet I was starting in with have faded completely. I use them every few days now because my skin can't take daily peeling, so the wrinkles have returned, but they are definitely light, and nowhere near as deep as when I started using frownies. The only place where frownies haven't worked for me is around the mouth. They kept falling off. I switched to little pieces of blister bandaids, and those worked great. I reduced a wrinkle from more than an inch to a quarter inch.
I just ordered the new frown line style (aaaaah my wrinkles are like a zombie attack this year), and I'll report on those after a month or two.

I am still torn about this product. On the one hand, sometimes when I tear it off my forehead in the morning the lines are GONE! Other times, they are still there, which leads me to think I applied it incorrectly? Forehead lines are hard b/c as soon as I take off the frownies, my forehead lines are visible SO quickly. All I have to do is raise my eyebrows and BAM! the forehead lines are back. I've only been using it for a week, so maybe it's just not enough time.
However, I've never seen my forehead lines so soft before. Not even when I use retin-a, or wrinkle cream. So maybe it IS doing something. I guess only time will tell.
I will update again in 30 days.

These WORK if you have the discipline to use them. I have a hard time sleeping with them on so I never end up adding them to my routine for long. I sometimes get an expression line between my eyebrows; I'm afraid that eventually it will become a permanent wrinkle and I'll start to look like Luis Guzman. When I use these it goes away and I look like I've never had a worry in my life. I would give them a five because they're so effective but I knocked off one lippie because they're so unlivable. I would wear them during waking hours but having my husband see me walking around with colorforms stuck to my face all the time would probably "kill the mystery."

I just started using Frownies about 5 days ago and have used them every night. I'm 28 and have noticed three horizontal lines on my forehead getting more and more noticeable over the past few years in addition to smile lines and 11s in between my brows. Today they are completely gone (obviously not forever).
Whether I have had nothing on my skin or whether I put on my Apricot kernel oil, the Frownies have never fallen off at night and they are not at all uncomfortable.
UPDATE: I've been using Frownies RELIGIOUSLY for a month now. I am only 28 but the absence of the lines on my forehead seriously makes me look so much younger (or maybe just makes me look my age, haha).
I love that the benefit is three-fold: 1) makes existing wrinkles temporarily disappear while also helping to make them go away more permanently (by helping collagen resettle under where the wrinkle used to be), 2) prevents existing wrinkles from getting worse or new wrinkles from forming while asleep and 3) forces your face to relax so that you actually notice when you are contorting your face unnecessarily when you're not wearing Frownies. I have bad vision, wore bad glasses and no sunglasses for a long time while living in the Sunshine State, am anxious and have a nervous tick that involves me scrunching up my forehead (the perfect skincare regimen clearly). Well, after wearing these for just a couple days, when I took them off I caught myself tensing up my face and it felt like a foreign sensation and it has helped me a lot.
CONs: 1) Unlike other people's problem with having them fall off while they sleep, mine stick on too well. They come off without the slightest tugging (which is obviously not my objective in wrinkle prevention) if I stand under the shower but I have a small broken capillary around my nose that I don't want getting bigger so I avoid really hot water on my face. The result is me standing in a lukewarm shower for 5 minutes until they come off easily or fall off. 2) The Corner of the Mouth/Eye Frownies are more expensive and in my experience more of a pain and less effective for the obvious reason that these parts of the face aren't flat and because many more people sleep on their cheek than do on their forehead. 3) The obvious con which is unfortunately moot for me at the moment: Sticking paper on your face is not conducive to spontaneous romantic trysts especially since they're such a pain to get off. Nonetheless, I have accepted that I will keep romance alive by sneaking these on after any future significant other falls asleep if necessary. FROWNIES ARE THE BEST.

I am blown away!! I ordered these a while ago and just got around to using them for the first time two nights ago. I'm 27 and have had two wrinkles on my left temple since I was 21. They're the kind you get from raising your brows in surprise or skepticism. I use sunscreen daily, moisturize, tried Retin A, etc, but nothing made a difference. Enter Frownies. After one night of use the wrinkles were 80% gone. They didn't come back during the day or at the end of the day like some other reviewers have mentioned (perhaps because they weren't super deep to begin with). Last night I used another Frownie on the same spot and as of this morning my forehead is 100% smooth. You wouldn't have a clue that I had ever had wrinkles there... for six years no less! Application is simple, as is removal, and I see no reason not to continue using them. I may even try to scale back and see what results I get with use every other night. But even if I need to use them nightly, I will! Thank you, Frownies!!!!

These really work. I'm 24 and recently noticed lines between my brows from furrowing my brow and frowning. I first noticed them one morning, shortly after I woke up. I think I must frown in my sleep without realizing because throughout the day they are not very noticeable, and are moreso when I first wake up. I was a little freaked out when I noticed them and realized they were from frowning (meaning sunscreen and skincare alone wouldn't help with them), and asked the skincare board for advice. They recommended Frownies. (Someone also recommended botox, but since I'm not quite ready for that yet... Frownies seemed like the way to go.)
The premise behind Frownies is that some lines and wrinkles are caused by facial movements (furrowing your brow, raising your eyebrows, etc.), so Frownies can help prevent that by holding the skin in place so there's less muscle/skin movement if you make certain facial expressions. If I'd just seen these in store, I'd have thought they were a gimmick and not given them a second thought, but the reviews in P-Ville were positive. I'm in Canada and don't know of any local retailers that sell Frownies so I ordered mine from drugstore.com. These things really work. They are just triangle shaped paper with water-activated adhesive on the back. You wet the adhesive side and stick them over the area the lines appear (between my brows for me). The package says to wear them for a minimum of 3 hours, preferably overnight. In the morning, you can wet them to help make them easier to peel off, but I haven't had any trouble removing them. I noticed a difference within a day. I no longer wake up with visible lines between my brows. I've seen people say online that using surgical tape is cheaper and works just as well, but since Frownies are working for me and are not too expensive I'll stick with them.

I'd buy these again, been using them for years on a few deep lines across my forehead. They work better than any cream or serum & gets better the longer you use em. I use Corner & Mouth.

These just plain work. But then why wouldn't they? They're just gummed flesh-colored paper with a gentle adhesive, shaped to work on forehead or lip lines. I've used them for years now (I'm 59 so I do mean years!) and I can see the difference in my forehead between when I'm consistent with them and when I get lazy and go to bed without them. There's no great mystery, they just "freeze" the skin in a smooth position overnight (and as long as I can keep them on in the morning when I'm not going anywhere), so the frowning you do during those hours doesn't carve wrinkles deeper. (An added bonus for me, with my oily skin, is that when I peel them off they pull crud out of the pores, too.) Because my skin is so oily I've found that it takes a little finessing to get them to go on and stay on really smoothly--I cleanse my skin, wet the Frownie (I use both pieces of the forehead ones to make a largish rounded diamond shape), wet the skin a bit while I wait for the adhesive on the Frownie to absorb the water, and then apply it and hold it on firmly with the palm of my hand while the adhesive takes hold. Sometimes the edges need a bit more water and pressing to stay down if they curl up. That's it. When I take these off in the morning the skin is smooth, and I don't even worry about the slight impressions sometimes left at the edges, since they go away immediately and are not being "reinforced" by my own muscles into wrinkles. The copy that comes with the Frownies is pretty laughable, since it claims that you are "training" your muscles with them, but if you're willing to keep using them and ignore (or enjoy) the somewhat cheesy 1950s Hollywood-style packaging and copy, they're great.

I am so surprised! I really thought these were gimicky at first but I'm surprised they work, and quickly! I am only 23 but I have those "thinker lines", the deep brow horizontal lines and then one minor "Y" shape between my eyebrows. I used them last night for the first time on my forehead and I'm so surprised! My forehead is practically completely smooth! I have had these premature lines since I was a teen, so to see and FEEL my forehead without those huge indent/ lines is AMAZING! I must really frown in my sleep... :)
I WILL BUY AGAIN AND AGAIN! Very happy! I considered injections to get rid of them, and now I realize this is an alternative to that :)
I also got mine of ebay for like $16

Greatly reduce the depth of my nasolabial lines (smiling lines), about 70%. When you first peel it off, the lines are totally gone. Then they will slowly return. By the end of the day my lines are back to normal. But this is just my third day with Frownies, so i think this has promising result so far.
For less than 20 bucks, i would buy again.

I find that Frownies do work - quite well. I've worn them at night between my brows for years and my skin there is smooth. I've recently been wearing them while I study at home, or drive long distances, and have found that they prevent me from the inevitable brow furrowing that accompanies both.
I don't find them uncomfortable or painful at all, even to remove. I just peel them off without water. If I don't wet them, I have a better chance of reusing them. I wouldn't do this with the corner of the eye ones though!
One more thing....I've had a problem with teeth grinding while sleeping. Lately, I've been wearing the "corner of mouth" ones, and find that my jaw no longer aches in the morning - they must prevent the grinding movement!

I cannot believe that I have been on this board for so long and have never written a review of this product! I started noticing the beginning of my 11's when driving home from college one day when I was about 20--I caught a glance of myself in the reflection of my speedometer, and noticed that my "natural" expression was to frown. I remember reading about this product a couple of years later, but didn't start using it until I was in my late 20's. Given that I started using them then, I can't say just how effective they've been, but I have a couple of friends who are my age (or a couple of years younger) who also frown a lot (not because they're mad, just thinking or whatever), and their 11's are WAY worse than mine. Yes, they do look absolutely ridiculous, but if it will lengthen the time before I have to start getting Botox, I'm ok with that. I'm sure they're not as effective as Botox, but let me tell you what: if there's ever a night that I forget to put them on and then fall asleep, I really do notice the difference the next morning. Which is exactly what keeps me buying them, several years later. So, until I get up the courage to use Botox, I just stick 'em on my forehead every night!

I had a large one I wanted to get rid of in between my brows with the start of another line. Not wanting 11's, I had a botox injection and hated it. It did lesson the 1 somewhat but for a line that has been there a long time, botox can only do so much. I also hated how the botox made me feel.
It's been 4 months since botox and in that time period I have been working hard to not start making that face again. I noticed that while I can now look angry, I have broken the habit of making frowns and the line did not come back as bad as it was originally so I thought I would try the frownies.
I cannot tell you how well they work for me. I am getting as good a result as from the botox and for a lot less money. My hope is that using these regularly will continue to diminish the depth of the line even more and prevent it from coming back.
If I was young, I definitely would start would these instead of botox. I'm not young anymore and these are exceptional. For people who say they don't work, I am unsure why because the experience for me has been nothing but positive.

There's a blurb in the Frownies instructions that said they help "train your muscles" over the long term. I read it and thought that claim was complete baloney, but I've been proven wrong...
I have a deep wrinkle in between my eyes that has bothered me for a long time. I fantasize about Botox-like results, but could never inject botulism into my head, so Frownies were going to get a fair shot on my face.
You see, I have glasses, but don't wear them much and I squint, which I THOUGHT caused my wrinkle. And just before I bought Frownies, my boyfriend and I noticed my wrinkle was always worst in the morning. You see, IN MY SLEEP I was crunching up my face in a stress position, making my wrinkle 10x worse than it needed to be! It wasn't my glasses, it was sleeping with a crunched-up face!
So three months ago, I bought some Frownies.
I spent ONE FULL WEEK in frownies every night, and every day hopped out of bed to wash off the frownie and check the mirror. I was elated! My deep wrinkle wasn't gone, but I'd say it was reduced 70%. A HUGE improvement.
But, I am lazy. (That's why I don't wear my glasses much.) So I stopped wearing Frownies very often. I thought my wrinkle would go back to the deep canyon it was in May...but THE RESULTS STUCK!
Now, I only wear my frownies when my boyfriend is out of town or sleeping like a rock... or occasionally for a few hours at home when he's gone.
THE WRINKLE REMAINS TAMED!
It's crazy, and I never thought I'd believe it, but paper strips and face glue actually works.
Some FROWNIES Tips:
If you're in a pinch, you can apply frownies by licking them to make them wet. They basically taste like an envelope. No different than licking a stamp.
You MUST remove frownies with water. I lean over the sink and scoop water onto the frownie until it gently peels off. Anything else would rip off a diamond-shape patch of my forehead, bringing even more attention to my spot-between-the-eyes.
