Romp is the first MAC product I ever bought, to use as an everyday eyeshadow. A nice gold-brown that complements my skintone nicely (NC43). The only real issues are the amount of fallout (i recommend applying foundation and concealer afterwards not before) and the fact that it can be difficult to blend, and stubbornly clump to one area instead of spreading out evenly.

Otherwise a very good product - mine is almost finish and i'd buy again. great for a brown smoky eye and very vivid when applied wet.

Chocolate laced with gold, frost. I'm NC30.

I have to admit, I have a thing for shadows in the brown family. I LOVE shimmery neutrals and can never have enough. That said, I had always overlooked Romp at the counter--it seemed so boring. And thoguh I'm sure there are a dozen lookalikes out there, Mac e/s is just such a good price and quality. On me, this is a shimmery medium brown (with zero red tones) that is perfect as a wash or layered with other colors for a smoky eye.

Bronzey medium chocolate brown full of gold/copper shimmer. I love wearing it wet as liner and allover my lid. It's gorgeous on tan skin!

This is a staple in my makeup bag. I don't travel anywhere without it! I think it's one of my favorite browns, with a bit of sheen to it. It looks lovely on girls with olive skintones, as another reviewer mentioned.

I just recently purchased this with coppering, which I just reviewed. This color is gorgeous, and will be a staple in my makeup bag. This can be an everyday color or using in conjunction with something more intense such as coppering or carbon..etc. It has an amazing texture, and it looks amazing on!! Again, highly recommend this color - Mac quite possibly is the best makeup out there!!!

My fav brown shadow! It's a beautiful chocolate brown with gold shimmer. It's buildable so you can go dark or lighter with it easily which I love.<3I love wearing it with Nylon as a highlight.

Romp is always in my makeup bag, I love the gold hue and it really complements my skin and eyes, I think it is a must for a gal with olive - dark skin.

Romp have been in and out of my stash a couple of times. Everytime it re-enters I decide that I kind of like it. After using it for some weeks the same inevitable thing happens every time, it pales next to my other warmer eye-popping colors (Woodwinked, Sumptuous Olive). MAC wants Romp to be «chocolate laced with gold», but however lovely this sounds I find it boring. Anyway, I will perhaps use this again once in a blue moon, so this time I will try not to swap it away. Who knows? Maybe I will enjoy it more as time passes and my tastes change?

A staple in my eyeshadow collection.
This is the end all of gold chocolate shadows. Period.

I can't do a neutral look without reaching for this color.

I also think it would go good with someone who has a darker skintone :)

I LOVE Romp. I use this color almost daily as a crease color. It looks great with bronze, shale, constructivist pp, or woodwinked on the lid. Actually, it looks great with almost any color in my e/s collection. It's a golden-brownish-bronze- like color.

Shocked at how many people like this color. Color looks like glittery dirt on me. Kept searching for a nice brown. This is not it. 2 stars simply b/c of quality of mac shadows. That aside, I'd give it a 1. I will not purchase again.

Romp is a really really nice brown shadow. It hasn't got any red tones and non of that irritating glitter. I wouldn't say it's dark brown but more of a medium brown. I don't reach for it very often but doing out I LOVE the look of Soba packed on the lid with Romp in the crease and Graphic Brown as a liner.

Great color for day or night looks! It can be used on the crease for a nice neutral day smokey eye or to enhance a dark smokey eye. I think it is a staple eyeshadow for anyone. It says its a frost, but it is not too shimmer or frosty.

Beautiful colour. Nicer than pictured on the site. Is a kind of coppery brown colour with golden shimmers as it's a frost. Quite pigmented but it does always need a base. I use MAC shadestick in gentil lentil and it still blends nice. I tend to use it with MAC's shroom as a highlighter for a everyday smokey eye. Packaging is lovely as always and easy to store. Probably one of the best browns from MAC.

I bought this about a month ago and can't stop using it. I find it very delightful to use & looks great on my eye lids. This is the first time i purchased MAC eyeshadow without regretting. I bought tempting & mulch before, but i arrived home i felt a little regret bout the purchase since the colors doesnt look vibrant on my lids, fyi im NC30. Mulch seems too purplish with small hint of redness instead of brown & for tempting i have to pile it up on my lids to let the color shows, and its still looks pretty light on me - its only later that i love to use both of these colors after experimenting it & figured how to make the color looks good on me..*sigh*.
With Romp, i'm able to adjust the usage from light to intense on my lids and the color still shows without much effort. I really really in love with it, it looks like very cute chocolate goldish color on my lids. I can use it with eyeliner when i wnt to look made up or without eyeliner when i wnt to achieve that Mary kate morbid look (watever that is.)..hehe... I am in LOVE!!! lol...
looks AWESOME when i pair it with Espresso (my another hg e/s). I can even pair it up with Mulch & Tempting, its still look beautiful on me. This is definitely my HG. Totally repurchase when i hit the pan.

A very pretty chocolately brown. I'm wearing it for the first time today and paired it with Amber Lights and it's a good warm natural eye look. I've been really getting into browns lately and this is a must-have.

Romp flows with Femme Fi and Shroom. Romp is a frost finish...brown with golden shimmer-it doesn't have that reddish issue Mulch had. I have been trying to use a brown with golden shimmer ever since I read in an issue of Allure that this shade helps to take away from dark bluish under eye circles. I am NW20, dark brown hair and eyes. It doesn't feel HG, but it is nice. MAC describes the color as chocolate laced with gold. I feel like something a touch more golden may be better, but until I find that this will work. Maybe I will try Woodwinked or Bronze next.
