I liked this product better than physicians formula eye liner. I have it in black brown because my eyes are brown and its not as harsh as black black, or onyx, i do agree with the other reviews, that this one is blue. ew. but pretty much, i can use the black brown one and not have too many problems with it, the one thing i dont like is that it rubs off easily, so the staying power is poor. good enough for me though :D

Well! I bought this because my younger sister uses it so I wanted to try it out. After reading the reviews on here, I was a little scared, lol. The most hardcore way to test an eyeliner is to draw a line over a knuckle. If it bleeds like crazy there, it's going to bleed like crazy on your eyes. The results? This bled like crazy - seeping into every crack- AND yes, it is dark blue. This crap is going back tomorrow.

I hate this.
I love the felt tip and I love that it glides on easily.
However, I bought this in onyx and the color is blue!
I didn't want blue, seeing as I purchased ONYX.
The consistency is too watery as well. It's not concentrated, I guess, so it doesn't look good unless you go over three times.

If anyone can recommend a good liquid pencil that glides on easily like this one but truly goes on BLACK, I'd really appreciate it.

Good thing this was only one dollar on sale...

What a waste of time... At least not of money, since it was $1.39 on sale... The application is easy and gives me new hope with the new felt tips out there. The problem is the formula is watery, and you can see the thing bleed/smudge even as you put it on. It goes up and down in tiny spidery lines, as if someone dropped water on it. I think that's why the color looks so diluted, otherwise the black brown would look fine. I have not ventured out of the house with this, for fear I will look like a raccoon in no time. Will not buy this again - will just try something else, like Lineur Intense.

I have to agree with many of the pervious reviews. The color onyx is far from black. It's a sort of an ashy blue. It also runs if it gets wet. Unfortunate because I love the pen style applicator. It's easy to get a thin or thick line with this one.

Overall and average product.

I like the pen is very easy to use. The felt tip definetly gives more control. But the color is not good at all I got onyx ( black ) and it goes on a dark blue so I have to apply another layer because it is to sheer and to make it blacker. It smears very very easily any sign of rain or tears or sinuses and it will run better than water.I will not buy this again.Mostly because of the color problem.I like my eyeliner pitch black.I bought this because my drug store favorite liquid liner ( Maybelline Eye Express Easy Lining Pen) was not there when I went shopping.I will definetly go back to Maybelline it is similar to this but sooooo much better.

this is my HG eyeliner! once you get the hang of it, it's really easy to use and control (I've been using this faithfully for 7 years now). heck, i stock up on these..especially when i travel. and i absolutely will not step out of the house without at least this on. i love it!!! stays on all day...but will get crusty if you fall asleep with it. easy to wash off (just splash some water); on the other hand, beware of rainy/snowy days! one lil droplet will dissolve it. but regardless, i will forever remain loyal to this product!

I have every color and it's my daily eyeliner - great staying power. It will stay on though trips to the gym, naps, etc. Great applicator too, super easy to get a very fine line or a more dramatic one.

I am not sure why this product is getting such negative reviews. Overall, I love the way this applies. At the beginning of the application, it goes on a little wet, but when dried, it gives a beautiful defined line. I use "Smoke" and I have dark brown eyes and brown hair with golden highlights- never have I gotten so many compliments! Great value. I just got "Onyx" and will see how that works out, but for now, love this....and for the price, I can save $25 switching over from the department store brands!

Blech. I have tried several liquid liners because I love the look it gives. This one did nothing for me. I bought this thinking that the felt tip would make for a fool proof application, and although it was pretty easy to put on, you have to use a really lite touch, otherwise it makes for an inconsistant/bumpy line. I bought the shade onyx, which is an inaccurate color name. The last time I checked onyx is not a dark blue, which is what this is on my fair skin. I had a hard time pairing this w/ my eyeshadows as most of my stuff has warm hues. The worst quality this has, however, is that it completly melts off my oily lids within mere hours, and is very irratating to me eyes as is bleeds into my tear ducts! I am on to try the more expensive gel liners (sigh) to get the cat eye and classic look that I am still searching for.

I use liquid eyeliner everyday, and I won't be trying this one again. I got mine in black, which looked metallic blue-black on my eyelids. This is not a good thing in my book, as it completely clashed with my warm eyeshadow colors. Also, the staying power sucks for a liquid eyeliner. I know it's not supposed to be waterproof, but if my eyes were watering or if I touched my eyes at all, this stuff would be all over the place, leaving me with scary eyes. That said, It worked well enough for me to put up with it till I ran out, which took about 3-4 months. That is an awesome lifespan for a felt-tip eyeliner. Also the applicator tip was thin enough to draw a fine line without too much trouble.

Great colour (dark grey) to achieve that dramatic smoke effect. Love it! It does sometimes flake off and overtime it turns to blue, but even that colour looks great!

I purchased this in brown black. At first, I loved it. It went on easy, like using a magic marker. I'm a total spaz when it comes to applying eyeliner, so that was a big plus. I loved the color too... a nice versatile dark brown. However, after a week the color changed to a light brown, almost orange color. I'm not sure if the pigment dried out and it was just watery. Regardless of the cause, that is unacceptable. If they could get the color to last for more than just a week of use, it would be a staple for me. Alas, I'll have to keep searching for "the one".

I have mixed feelings about this liner. I haven't used liquid liners before so I'm not really comparing it to others. One of the major problems I have with it is that the colour on the packaging does not reflect the color of the product. I have onyx and I was after a black but got a dark blue. I went back for the brown and find it too light. I probably should have opted for the plum but I'm not sure I want to risk getting another bad colour.
It does apply pretty smoothly and I am crap at applying liners. I can get a nice clean line with it without too much trouble. Another complaint I have is that even with a lot of shaking, it went on watery and unpigmented taking a long time to dry for the first many applications. Now it seems better but it took longer than I would expect especially with the amount of shaking I gave it. I would suggest using it on the back of your hand for a while when you first get it. I tend to put an eye shadow over it to get a bit of blending going on and that helped with the slower drying.

I have sensitive eyes (actually, I almost had to have surgery one one a while ago, but it went away, thankfully) and I have always wanted to try a liquid eyeliner. I got into putting on eyeliner because when I would be cheering, nobody could see my eyes. I had heard about this stuff from another cheerleader and I decided to try it because I had a coupon off anyway. I go the black brown color and it works really great! I was a bit worried the second day because it seemed to be a bit dried out for me, but it went back to normal after that. It is really easy to apply (almost easier than a pencil) and stays put really well. Once it dries it doesn't smudge or anything! Also, I am happy to say that my eyes are not sensitive to it at all! I haven't tried the onyx color, but black brown makes my eyes seem bluer and stand out without giving them a harsh black color anyway.

I usually don't wear liquid eyeliner because I already have small eyes, but when I saw that it was a liquid pencil, I thought that was totally awesome. Since I have blue eyes the 'smoke' colour really worked for my eye colour and my skin tone. I really like that it is soo easy to apply and if you make a mistake it comes off super easy with a moist cotton swab. The only thing that I didn't really like was that it took a while for it to dry, but other than that I really love it!

I LOVED the felt-tip pen type application, it was actually my second liquid eyeliner and just when I was starting to give up on them completely this product really surprised me. It is extremely easy to apply, in my opinion.
The one thing I do not like about is the colour, onyx is actually BLUE! Which clashes horribly with my natural make-up colour scheme.
Overall, i would not buy it again just because I actually want a BLACK eyeliner, not a blue one!

I hated this eyeliner. Before I purchased this product, I used Almay i-Liner in Black, which I loved. I was just looking to try new things. However, I was disappointed with this stuff. The color was BLUE, not black (as the packaging said) and the tip was waaay too thick. After a week or so of daily use, the tip dried out, I had to remove & reinsert it for it to work again.

Overall, I would NEVER buy this product again. From now on I'll stick to Almay.

A little disappointed with this. Maybe its me, but it doesn't give me a clear, even line -- from the beginning it seems to run dry or erratically. Again, maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I haven't gotten a nice clear line from this product...
