I got this after reading numerous reviews on it.
I saw it is used specially for hyperpigmentation, so I got it.
The truth? It made me break out in pimples, got dry spots too.
But, it lived true to its word.
It got rid of a large clusterment of freckles on my sides of my cheeks and nose, chin too.
They were the freckles causing me so much self-hate, but Meladerm got rid of them after almost a year of use.
I would buy again once I get out of the whole pimply teen years to avoid breakouts from the product, but I'm very happy with my freckles' shade at the moment so I doubt I will be needing to use this powerful product again :)

I have adult acne and Meladerm has worked great for my acne scars. Mine were the dark spots and not the crater type. I still get breakouts and am still trying to find a solution for my acne, but at least now I have a product that I know will help me with any scars that are left over. I find that if I use the Meladerm regularly, even after a pimple goes away, the resulting scar only lasts a week. Before I started using it, my scars would usually last months.

Have used this cream for appx 2 months now, and sadly hasn't made one iota of difference to my pigmentation. I'd read great review too so was really hopeful. I will finish this bottle as it does last a while which is just as well as v. expensive, but really can't see me repurchasing unless a miracle happens overnight!

I live in the tropics, which means constant sun exposure.
I applied Meladerm on my cheeks and left the upper lips untouched to test the overall results. For sunblock, I used SPF50 Lancome BB cream formulated for Asian skin.
After a few weeks of once a day usage the skin did become whiter, the sun spots on my cheeks are less visible than my upper lips, but the sun spots did not fade completely as advertised (see above).
On the bright side, the sun spots are barely visible with a light brush of BB cream and compact powder.
I may buy other products locally since international shipment is going to be pricey.

Looooove this product! It's one of the few I've come across that has actually worked on my skin and does what it claims. I have sun spots all over my shoulders and chest and Meladerm after 4 months of constant use has lightened most of the spots and completely erased many of the smaller ones. I just started using it on my face and hope to see the same kind of result as I did on my chest. Highly recommended!!

I was disappointed to not experience any of the success others have had with this product. I have embarrassing hyper-pigmented spots on my upper lip and forehead and have been looking for something to help before turning to expensive treatments. I've been using the product as directed, twice a day, for almost 3 months and have seen marginal, if any, results. I even use SPF 60 over the spots. I imagine this would work well for more surface type spots/damage, but anything deeper does not seem to respond, at least for me.
Still worth a try as everyone is different, but take advantage of the 30-day money back guarantee. I thought I might still get results if I went the recommended 2-3 months but nothing yet. If you see don't see any initial improvement, going longer may not make a difference.

I purchased meladerm cream because the theory is that the wrinkles don't make you look old, the uneven skin tone does.
I have used this cream for 2 weeks now, every morning and some nights when I remember. I have noticed a considerable difference in my skin tone and it is starting to look more even and brighter.
I have purchased several products for anti ageing and I believe this is the best for pigmentation.
My friend of a similar age (50s) was so impressed with my skin that she has purchased meladerm. I also ordered a bottle for my daughter (32) who is getting married in November just to brighten up her skin as well.
The product is well packaged with an airless pump dispenser. One pump is enough for my face and neck. I am also using a tiny bit on the backs of my hands and the dark spots are starting to fade.
One thing I stress is that you must use sunscreen, not just in your foundation, as it contains an alpha hydroxy acid.
I use a lot of product on my face and I wondered how to incorporate another product into my skin care. For what it's worth, I now put meladerm on post cleansed skin, then Retinol A Gel from supplementspot, then sunscreen (Jergens natural glow healthy complexion daily facial moisturizer) or other SPF moisturiser and then primer and then foundation or bb cream.
I live in Australia and meladerm cost $50 and $9 delivery so whilst it is not the most expensive cream on the market, it's not dirt cheap either. I agree with another reviewer who said go to the dermatologists for treatments not the cosmetic companies.
I will be interested in how my skin looks after a couple of months so will repost later.

This works miracles for me!
In two weeks my dark spots have significantly reduced!
I am soooooo grateful!
Cant wait how my skin looks in another two weeks!
It's not like your spots will be gone just like that... But with a little patience you will be happy with the results!
I use it on my face, neck, back and armpits. Sounds weird maybe, but I want to get rid of all of my discoloration.
I have tried other creams for hyperpigmentation such as palmers, clinique and dior...
If you compare those products to Meladerm... They are a joke.
I think Meladerm is a 'serious' skin treatment. You pay for the product and not for the brand (clinique, dior).
When wanting to treat serious skin problems such as pigmentation, I dont think you should look for a solution in the makeup/skincare market. I think you should find a dermatologic company. In my opinion skin care products like Chanel and Dior have a purpose of pampering your skin and treating yourself.

This product is the worst product i've used. after a few weeks of use, i develop allergic reaction and made my skin become darker. i've stop using it since then. But my skin still has not recover to its normal colour, and i have a feeling that it is getting worse. it has been 4 months since i've stopped using the product.I am not sure whether arbutin or the kojic acid has the same side effects like hydroquinone. I am hoping that my skin will get better in the future. Has anyone have the same side effects from meladerm? Never going to buy this. And to other people (people of colour) need to think a lot before buying this product. I regret about buying it and i hope other people wont have the same problem like i had

I bought this as living in Australia I have some sun spots. At first when I started using it my skin became very shiny and I would get quite a few pimples in areas I'd never really got them before. However after a week both of these problems went away. Now I've noticed my skin is clearer, smoother and my skin tone has started to improve after ~ 3 weeks.
Apparently you need a few months to notice a real difference so I will see if it helps with my sun spot. It has helped clear up some slight red scars from acne. I find I don't need to use moisturiser on my face now but I make sure my makeup has SPF as your skin is sensitive to the light after use.
I will definitely continue to purchase this even though it is somewhat expensive (I have the face wash, toner - love this toner!, microfibre cloth and meladerm cream).

I discovered the effective antidote to melasma, acne marks and sun-damaged skin using Meladerm Skin Brightening Cream that delivers what it promises. Prior to buying this product, I first read good and positive reviews by other users, then, I purchased my first bottle on November last year. I am satisfied with the results in just 2 weeks of using...melasma and acne marks are fading and sun-damaged spots are diminishing. I have tried expensive and popular brands in the market but I responded well to Meladerm because it is hypoallergenic and works well to my sensitive, acne prone skin without creating breakouts or allergic reactions. I am glad I found this product and I am definitely be buying more including other Civant line products. Amazing and I highly recommend it to my friends and people with the same skin dilemna that I had. Pricy a bit but it is worth it since it delivers and works..Great product CIVANT..it helps me and others to have a great skin again.

I just came across this recently and am about 2 months into the treatment. I've used so many products in the past so I think I have enough experience to know when something is working and I can definitely say I have seen improvement. The cream is medium consistency so it goes on like a moisturizer. I'm not a huge fan of the fruity smell but it's not too bad. I've been using this along with a Lactic acid peel and have seen two fairly dark spots lighten more than 50% in the past 2 months. My only complaint is that I wish it came in a serum form as I'm not a huge fan of applying multiple creams. Since you have to use a sunblock with this, you are obligated to apply at least two creams (this + sunblock) every morning.

I usually don't write many reviews but I was compelled to do so with this product. I have been using Meladerm for a little over a month now. I have very very old stubborn acne scars on my face that for years was hard to get rid of. I've tried hydroquinone which sort of worked but it's very harsh and it doesn't even your skin tone in the process. It just basically bleaches it and that wasn't what I was looking for. I used this cream and immediately I started to notice fading and evening of my skin tone. Not only that but it makes your skin very soft and smooth. I don't even have to wear that much concealer to hide very dark spots since they're getting lighter and lighter. I'm so happy with my results. I've just purchased another bottle so I can have my back up once my 1st bottle is out. The 1.7oz bottle lasts a while since there is no need to use a whole lot. I recommend this cream to anyone wanting to fade stubbon acne scars. The only con I would have is that the $8.99 shipping is pretty steep but it's a small price for the results I'm acheiving.

In my quest to lighten my hyper-pigmentation (melasma) that developed during pregnancy I did so much "research", I checked out the internet, read reviews and recommendations, etc. and thought this sounded great. Well, unfortunately, it did absolutely nothing at all. I followed all the directions religiously and finished two bottles of the stuff and there wasn't even the slightest difference to any of my pigmentation. I'm so disappointed. On the plus side, it comes in a pump bottle to prevent contamination of the product. It's a light lotion (don't expect it to moisturise because it doesn't do that). You need to use it morning and night and must use sunscreen (it goes without saying that using sunscreen is a MUST anyway to prevent pigmentation). You have to wait a decent amount of time after using this cream before applying anything else, such as sunscreen or makeup. This didn't irritate my skin at all and all the ingredients are known ingredients to help with pigmentation it's just that unfortunately for me it was an expensive failure. I also have to mention that I ordered it from the website (the only place it's available) and it was shipped to me in New Zealand very fast so I was very impressed with the speed that my order was processed.
