I use this on my six year old daughter's waist length hair. (very carefully because this stuff will burn your eyes) She has beautiful dirty blonde hair mixed in with natural platinum streaks. People are always asking me if I streaked her hair..

Anyway, this shampoo really brightens up her blonde and makes it shiny. I also use the John Frieda conditioner on her and it takes out tangles in no time flat. It never dries out her hair either, but that might be because we wash 2 times per week.

Sometimes I use this shampoo to de-gunkify my hair once a month. I really love this stuff and what it has done for my daughter's hair.

I honestly haven't seen a difference in my hair color. But, funny enough, my dad was the first person to say, "wow, your hair looks lighter!" So, while the difference isn't dramatic, I guess it actually does work enough for even a guy to notice.

I just like this shampoo. I think the scent is very pleasant and sweet, and doesn't linger too long after showering. My hair feels softer, even in this dry winter weather.

I would buy this again if I found another 2 for 1 deal.

This is my HG shampoo! It brightens my natural highlights, leaves a soft silky feeling, and cleans well. I have been using it for probably 1 1/2 to 2 years. My hair is a bit dull when I'm not using this. I don't even know what to say, its just soo great! I have natural blonde hair, never have highlighted or dyed it or any chemical treatements. I use the darker shades version. The sauve blonde shampoo/conditioner is a pretty good cheap dupe for this but I do see a slight difference in the two. Leaves a light scent too!

I keep coming back to this shampoo, it smells pleasant, cleans my hair thoroughly without drying it out, doesn't make it frizzy, flyaway or static, gives a good shine and lightens my naturally blonde hair. I use it with the matching conditioner.
It's a good price, you need to use very little for it to lather up well and so it lasts a long time and I'm happy with it in almost every way. The only thing that i find is that it will start to make my hair more yellow or brassy looking unless it's the summer time and I'm out in the natural sunlight, or if I use one of the lilac/purple conditioners that combat brassiness - that is just my hair colour though, for those who don't have naturally yellow tones to their hair there probably won't be a problem.
Currently my favourite shampoo for blondes, I'm working my way through other brands!!

I use this shampoo with the matching conditioner once a week for my hair which is naturally reddish-bronzey-blonde but now has an auburn rinse on it. For me the product tones down brassiness and tends to even out all the various shades in my hair, perhaps highlighting the lighter ones. For the price of this shampoo, it's worth it. My hair is washed but not stripped of oils and it just feels good afterward.

This bottle is my 2nd or 3rd purchase and, yes, I will repurchase again. It is one of the few d/s shampoos which I faithfully use.

Hated this shampoo. I had been using another Sheer Blonde s&c and after I ran out I picked this up at Big Lots. I figured there couldn't be much of a difference but wow was I wrong. This stuff is horrible! It smells funny, doesn't lather well, and left my hair feeling stringy and dry. Even using my Biolage Conditioning Balm didn't make my hair feel much better. I noticed no significant difference in the color/shades of my hair, either. This is yet another product of John Frieda's that I hated. I don't know why I try.

My hair tends to get greasy if I don't wash it every day, but I do use conditioner always and a mask once a week, it's a must for me.
I always feel like my hair is brighter when I use this shampoo, my hair is a light honey-golden color because I went swimming every day this summer, and salt-water didn't dry it out as much as people said it would.. Anyways, I haven't been to the hair dresser in over half a year and my hair still looks great!

This is a good every day shampoo which doesn't dry out my bleached hair. I have platinum hair and need to use a shampoo for blondes so that my color doesn't dull with time. I've been using this for about 2 months and so far my hair is as white as the day I bleached it.

This does not dry out my fine, dry hair. It has a pleasant scent that does not linger. Adds subtle highlights to my hair. Not sure if I would repurchase I am always trying new products.

I love this shampoo. I have been using this particular one for a while now and have switched over from a bed head one. As i have curly blonde hair i found that this one along with the corresponding conditioner has made my hair a lot softer and a lot easier to manage after washing. I love it. x

I love all the Sheer Blonde Shampoos and Conditioners! I use the Platinum tone. I can't say that this particular one actually highlights, but it is rich, lathery, gentle, and moisturizing to my over-processed hair. I had switched from B&B and am very happy! It is pricier as far as drugstore products, but I always stock up on the BOGO. I will be buying again!

I'm not sure I'd buy this again. I bought the "honey to caramel" one and it didn't do a lot for me. (I AM a true blonde, by the way) I think it was just me trying to believe it worked, when I tought I saw some more highlights in my hair. Anyway, I now use a dirt cheap head & shoulders shampoo and the results didn't change one bit.

Scent: nice but light, doesn't linger :(

*** I used this along with the highlighting gel AND the Luminous Color Glaze. It didn't work that well for the price. I paid more about 20-30$ CDN for the whole lot!

I used the Platinum to Champagne sheer Blonde shampoo when I had blonde highlights in my hair last year, and it kept my hair color from fading or getting dull. It just added a little extra something to it! That was a while ago though, and this morning I ran out of my normal shampoo so I used this one- even though my hair is back to its natural color (dark brown). And after my hair dried, it was actually lighter! I guess it brought out the natural highlights in my hair and lightened them, because now it looks like I have golden highlights... I like this product, but I didn't expect it to lighten my hair. The smell is also very nice, maybe a little too strong for me, I continually smelled it throughout the entire day, and my hair feels very clean as well. As for the packaging, it isn't flimsy, but a little on the small side for my opinion-especially for shampoo. As a whole, I would say this product is pretty good, but make sure you don't mind your hair getting a bit lighter.

This definitely does make the hair blonder, and the tone of the blondeness quite nice, and not brassy or yellow. I notice the quality of my hair's colour improves significantly when I use this. It's comparable to clairol shimmer lights without the grandma smell, and in a much more attractive bottle. My hair texture has not improved nor gotten worse with this. The effect on the colour though definitely makes this a re-buy product.

I've been using this shampoo and conditioner in Platinum to Champagne for a few months. I like it and it does brighten my highlights, it's subtle but noticeable to me. I wouldn't use this everyday because it does seem to be a bit drying. Instead I use it as a clarifying shampoo once a week and it's great.

although this product doesn't seem to make your hair blonder...it does have several pros
1. it rinses out and doesn't leave shampoo build up
2. it smells amazing
3. it makes your hair soft
4. a little goes a long way
i first used it at my cousin's house (she is blonde). i loved the way it made my hair feel so i bought some myself even though my hair isn't exactly blonde, more like a light brown. but i think this is a great product no matter what color your hair is.

This is the first good shampoo I've had the privilege of using in such a long while. My hair's like, super fine, so I figured I'd try this out since my mom already bought it (despite my hair's red-tinted brunette-ness). The first day I used it, people asked me if I coloured my hair because it was so significantly lighter. A friend also commented that my hair looked "so voluptuous". My hair also dries a lot faster than when I would use other shampoos, and it doesn't smell too bad.

The only thing is that you need a large amount to make it fully clean your hair. I may have thick hair, but it's also very layered and I don't usually need such a large amount; this shampoo ust refuses to lather up. But all things considered, I would definitely recommend this product.

I actually use this shampoo on my highlited hair to obtain body for my dried out hair. I haven't noticed any difference in the tone of my hair, but it really makes my hair bouncy without drying it out or making limp. I think it should be called Sheer Blonde Volumizing shampoo!

My favorite! I've tried other brands that said they enhance your color and add highlights, but I always come back to this one. Frieda's Sheer Blonde line is just in a class by itself.

I have my hair highlighted every three months, and no matter how light or dark I go in the variation of blond, I use this line of shampoos and conditioners (lately I have alternated between it and Loreal Everpure shampoos and conditioners, b/c they have UV filters). Sheer Blonde always makes my hair feel nice and look nice. The scent is subtle and not overpowering, and it lathers well (something that bothers me a little about the Everpure brand). Sheer Blonde brings out my blonde highlights and even the darker lowlights really well. A little bit goes a long way- the products last a while- and I have found that this line works just as well as other higher priced lines, like Redken. I've stuck with it with years and will continue to.
