This is the saviour for my chapped lips!!! I am on acne medication, and it cause dryness everywhere. I already used lip balm/treatment from Nivea, Burt's Bees, L'Occitane Olive (this is almost good), Avene, The Body Shop, ROC, MAC, Kose, and nothing can compare this superbalm result. Only within a night, it rescued my lips and returned to healthy plumpy lips. The only minus that I hate the packaging. I prefer lipstick shape.

I haven't been using Clinique for very long, but I'm already in love with this product. I usually put it on before bed and I wake up with ridiculously soft lips. I love thick glosses/balms so this stuff was perfect for me, but if you're not into the sticky feeling I would steer clear. It also comes in a small tube which is perfect for pockets or clutches.

I use this product every night before I go to bed and I always wake up with super soft lips that never chap anymore. I dont usually wear it during the day as its really heavy and thick. I like the feel of it on my lips. I have sensitive lips and can't wear any glosses or lipsticks as my lips immediately chap and peel, however, this product does not cause that.

NOTHING and I mean nothing compares to this. Clear or coloured, its all good. I have an unfortunate condition where if I wear ANY lipstick (and most lip glosses), it makes my lips peel by the end of the day, and I am suffering for a week straight...must be a common chemical in it, maybe the dye? Anyway, this stuff is incredible. Makes my lips super soft and I can wear a little colour if I want, too!!!!! The price is a little high but they do last forever. I <3 Clinique!

I love this product! I got the sample size in 04 rootbeer and I feel head over heals. It's a very comfortable lip gloss and moisturizes very well and lasts a long time. The actual tube is pretty big too so I'm sure it'll last a long time.

I have mixed feelings about this product. It use to be my HG lip balm until i realized the more i used it, the more i HAD to use it. It was actually making my lips more chapped. I like the consistency of it and for a few moments my lips don't feel chapped or dry at all but that doesn't last very long. I do agree with people that if it gets too cold it is really hard to squeeze out. I like the size though, it is really convenient to carry around but the price is way too high. There are better products out there that are much cheaper.

The Superbalm was indeed very good when i first started using it. However, as soon as after the first week or 2, i get blisters around my lips. really bad blisters that are close to bleeding. i stopped using the superbalm until heal and give it another try,,, blistered again! without 6 hours too. As much as I loved superbalm from the first week honeymoon, i stopped using it and give it another try.. then BLISTERS. Now it's really not by chance but pure allergic reaction.
definitely won't purchase again.

Product - Translucent/foggy, colorless, thick gel lip treatment/balm. Primary ingredient is petrolatum. Slightly glossy - more of a satin finish than shiny. Thick and viscous in texture at room temperature, and even harder to squeeze out in cold temps. It does not spread very easily, but on the other hand it does stay put. Feels heavy on the lips, though not quite as heavy or solid/chunky as a waxy stick balms. Sits on my lips, does not feel like it soaks in at all. It doesn't appear to be bleeding onto the skin around my lips, but it makes the area around my mouth feel grimy - like an oily T-zone expansion colony - thus I especially would not recommend this for users with oily skin. Comforts and cushions dry chapped lips, but does not deliver on the "deeply hydrating repair for lips" promise. Keeps my lips from drying out further, but neither hydrates nor repairs my lips.
Packaging - Opaque Clinique-green squeeze tube and screw-on cap with a small hole in the slant tip applicator.
Overall - Best for temporary relief from chapped lips. Too thick and heavy for frequent use. Repackaged petroleum jelly, basically, and retails for $12 for 0.24 oz (7 ml).

Bought this product on a whim while I was at Boston Store. It's the middle of winter here so frigid temperatures had left my lips dry, cracked and painful. While I balked a little at the price tag, I was pretty much desperate for some relief so I went ahead and purchased it.
Great decision. My lips felt better almost right away. After a few days of regular use, they were back to their original softness with no hint of dry skin or cracking. Since I never wear lipstick, I like the fact that the product gives a subtle shine to my lips.
Only negative (besides price) is that it can be a little sticky if you accidentally put too much on.

I love this lipbalm! I tend to have really dry lips and since I live in a cold New England windy climate, my lips get gross and bloody pretty easily. I've tried a lot of different lip calms (normal chapstick, burts bees, that rose lip balm in a blue tin, etc.) with not that much success. Like I would put it on, and then have to constantly reapply it.
Last year, I was in the mall and my lips were so awful my mom said, "don't you have a lip gloss?" and bought me this lip balm not knowing how great a product it is. Like seriously, this product has saved my lips! Whenever I put it on, my lips feel immediately softer and that feeling actually stays for a very long time while with other lip balms it went away after a couple of minutes. It's worth the price-I've used it every day for a couple of months and it's still going strong. This product saved my lips!

(This review is for the untinted version in the green tube.) This is my holy grail lip balm. It is completely unscented and unflavored. It works almost immediately and, if I remember to use it a couple times a day, keeps my lips from getting chapped even when I'm out in snow and bitter cold for hours at a time.
There's a generous amount in the full-sized tubes. The applicator tip is just angled plastic, so it doesn't wear out or get grubby like sponge tip applicators. And it can be cleaned.
It's nice as a gloss on its own or over lipstick.

I love this stuff! Too bad it's so expensive, but it is a great night treatment too. I put it on and wake up to perfectly soft lips ready for the days makeup. It also doesn't create acne or clogged pores around my mouth, which is why I can't wear lipliner at all.

This product is probably one of the best lip balm i have ever used. since I was young, I have forever struggle to just keep my lips soft and clean from dead skin, I never could. I bought this when I was in high school since my lip was always cracked, bleeding and beyond dry it created dry skins all of my lips. This helped me a lot. Yes it is the consistency of a lip gloss which gives beautiful glow to your lips. It is bit thicker than normal lip gloss you would use and sticky. BUT it is a definitely yes for me since this leaves my lips smooth and moist and I don't have to suffer from cracks and scabs.

I adore this stuff. I used to use it in high school when I was on the golf team, and had to practice on miserable winter days where the wind was really cold and made your face feel miserable. I also put it on every night and my lips were ALWAYS smooth in the morning. I would also use it during the day and it makes your lips pretty shiny, which I always thought was a great plus. Superbalm feels so good on my lips. It's like a much thicker version of Vaseline. I liked the way it smells too; just a real soothing scent.

Its expensive and it doesnt moisturise as it claims to but somehow my lips feel healthy after i use it. I find that this product is more of a lipgloss 'coat' than a moisturising one.
I'd recommend trying it before you buy if its possible. For a lipgloss, it's not worth the price.

I use this morning and night, it does feel nice on my lips and also under lip glosses, but it hasn't stopped my lips from peeling so i think i'm still on the search for a lip treatment product that works for me.

I got this as a GWP (more like an extremely discounted set with random minis). I must say that Clinique is pretty generous with this GWP as it is 5ml and the real thing is only 7.5ml! I've seen this product many times before and I've always bought All About Lips because it seems so expensive for what looks like clear gloss. I do prefer lip glosses over waxy blams simply becuase I feel that stickyness makes them stay no better when I roll around in my sleep. I've always used L'Occitane Honey (the original honey) lip gloss with 10% shea butter and thought that was the best I could do with a staying and moisturizing lip treatment. Boy was I wrong!
If it is just a clear gloss, then it has got to be the most moisturizing gloss I've used. For instance, I took a very stressful test one day and bit off bits of skin on my lips, leaving it swollen and peely by the end of the day. That night, I was so miserable I thought to hell with it and applied a thick and almost gloopy layer over my lips and went to bed. The next morning, my peely skin is gone and they are no longer swollen!! I'm sure it's not all because of some healing ingredient in it, but it provided a protective moisturizing layer over my lips so that it could heal itself without being licked (yes, I am a lip smacker) and dried even more.
As I said before, it feels the same as a sticky lip gloss but just moisturizing with great staying power. It has no scent at all which is fine with me. =]
Since it is a GWP, it is slightly smaller than the real thing, so the applicator was a little small too, so that was a slight downside for em that probably won't be a problem for the real thing.
Definitely will purchase the real thing, even if it is expensive for something so small, and currently toying with the thought that this could be my HG lip balm! However, because of the price ($12 for 7.5ml!!!!) I'm probably going to use it only when I have very miserable lips.
UPDATE: OCT 2009
I bought the real thing and the mango one (not the gloss but the balm).
I use it for intensive night treatment when my lips are in a really bad shape. Pretty expensive for a lip balm, still, so I stick to MAC lip conditioner (smells wonderful!) on my normal days.

I used to love this lipbalm a few years ago and went through about 3-4 tubes of it. It's a good lipbalm. Light but very moisturizing. I wouldn't repurchase because I like trying new things.

I find this product to be too sticky and glossy to be a lipbalm. It has no smell but I find it really thick and uncomfortable on my lips. I'd much rather stick with a regular drugstore chapstick.

This review is for the untinted Superbalm. I noticed that ingredient lists vary on the Internet, so I'm copying the list from the box I purchased here in Canada (may vary by country I suppose).
As far as the product goes, it's great. Very thick, full of great ingredients, long lasting, no flavour. A bit sticky, but other than that, I can't complain.
