I got the Sweet Pea at a yard sale along with three other B&BW lotions. I had never tried this line before. I LOVE this Purely Silk! It made my skin insanely soft. I have never used a lotion quite like this one.

Like another reviewer, I could not stop touching my skin. It was not greasy and did not form the odd lotion balls mentioned by other writers. I exfoliate every day, so maybe this is why I had no problems. It just left me soft with a nice scent. I don't normally go for "sweet" smells (I prefer oriental fragrances), but this one was soft and feminine.

I agree that the price is high, but I got mine practically for free. However, a little goes a long way and the bottle and silky feel are worth it. Sometimes you gotta indulge.

I love these lotions. I find them extremely moisturizing without feel greasy. Best of all, I usually can not STAND scented prodcuts. I have a super sensitive weird olfactory system....but I can use most of Bath and Body Works products. I finally can enjoy a good smelling lotion!

I love this lotion. This is one of my only bath and body splurges. I hate the feeling of lotion... they always leave me feeling greasy. This stuff doesn't do that. A little bit goes a really long way and the scent lasts for a long time, and I never feel greasy. I love this stuff.

I hate bath and body works products, and this is no exception. I recieved several bottles of the purely silk lotion for christmas one year, and every single bottle is just crap. The scnets are far too strong, the lotions burn my sensitive skin and the products are far too expensive for what they are. Ugh.

I have this in sheer fresia. Love the smell and how it makes skin very soft, but when rubbed too much, it forms little lotion balls. Too expensive, also.

Performance: These really do make your skin feel like silk, but don't count on this product to moisturize. If your skin isn't already in good condition then this product won't help that. If you already have moisturized skin, this will make your skin feel incredibly smooth and soft.

Fragrance: I own this in green tea nad cucumber essence, but the scents are all exactly the same as the regular BBW lotions.

Packaging: The packaging of this is very pretty, but not very economical. It's a frosted glass bottle which is curvy and very pretty. I wish it was plastic made to look like glass though. It is a pump container, which is a plus.

Price: This product is way too expensive for what you get. You get 6.5 oz of product, for $17. The regular lotions are 8oz for $9! I don't think it's worth it. I got mine on sale after Christmas for $6 though.

This stuff feels incredibly soft on my skin, but it leaves little pieces of "lotion lint" all over the place. Very annoying. Because of that, I will not be repurchasing. I gave this two lipsticks for animal friendliness.

I love this stuff. The kind I bought was not a "shimmer" lotion
like one of the other reviewers mentioned (maybe there is a similar product that is not as good). I thought it absorbed well and did not have a greasy feel.

I don't know what was wrong with the bottles that those of you who say you don't enjoy this was, must of been a bad batch, because I absolutely ADORE this stuff.. it makes you feel soo sensual and soft, you just can't stop touching yourself!! teehee!! But really, I have this in an old discontinued scent of Refreshing Garden Mint.. and I only use it on special occasions so I can save it and thoroughly enjoy it when I do use it. It makes your skin soo lovely powdery soft.. I have yet to try another lotion that gives the same effect.

this body lotion is definitely not as great as the b&b pleasures lotions. it creates this kind of weird residue stuff once you start to rub it in.

i've wanted this product ever since it came out, i love shimmering lotions! i still like it, but its not a lotion to be used all over ur body..just places you want shimmer/glitter. its oil based, so its really greasy. that's my main complaint. i love the effects it gives to my skin. i dont know if its skin-smoothing...maybe after constant application, but i dont use it everyday, just special occassions.

I adore this product! I love the way it makes my skin feel-- so soft and silky smooth! It takes just a dab and rubs right in for a great feel. While the price is a little extravagant, BBW usually has fantastic sales and this is most always included in their buy 3, get one free sales. Wonderful stuff!

I received this as a gift, along with some spray that I returned because I don't use sprays, but I thought I would like the lotion. First of all, the pump packaging is terrible, it takes forever to get a decent amount of lotion out of the thing, I prefer something I can squeeze. Second, I have had the flaking problem from the beginning. At first I thought it was because I had just gotten out of the shower. So I tried it again when I was completely dry, but the same thing happened. It just flakes off. It does smell good (I got orange blossom), and my skin does feel soft after I rub the flakiness off. I won't buy it though. Also when I returned the spray, this stuff was on the 75% off table, it's no wonder with these results.

I guess I'm just not a big fan of BBW products. They have some great scents but the quality of lotion is mediocre and prices way too high. I bought this lotion because I was under the impression that it would make my skin feel like silk. Boy was I wrong. It made my skin feel chalky and powdery. I felt like there was this film of powdery chalk sitting all over my skin. It gave the illusion of dryness. Was my skin more silky? Certainly not. Was it softer nope.

I usually love BBW products, but this one is a loser. If not rubbed in well enough, it just sits on your skin like a "film of silk." :) But, if you try to rub it in, then it just balls up in little rolls of silk. No thanks.

This is wonderful stuff for hot weather! I've been using it lately because it's been very humid outside and this lotion leaves a cool, satiny finish the skin. It's absolutely non-greasy and leaves your body matte. It's a girl's best friend in the summer!

I'd recommend this for daytime use. It's not incredibly moisturizing, and if you need something more emolliant, this may one to layer on top of a traditional lotion.

While it's not available in all B&BW scents, it is available in the top sellers. The Coconut Lime Verbena is a personal fave. My only gripe with these are that they are quite pricey. $18.50 for a 6 oz. bottle is a bit more than I'd like to spend. But, I really like it, so I just use it wisely (and wait for sales!)

I have this in Rice Flower & Shea scent. My boyfriend is GA-GA over this scent! I slather it on my shoulders, arms, torso and thighs after showering and he just sits there smelling me. Anyway, I thought this product was rather strange at first - it had an odd "powdery" finish to it and for a moment I wasn't sure if it had sunk into the skin or if it was sitting onthe surface. With continued use, though, I found that the powedery feel is the finish. I dind't think BBW were serious when they said that this lotion will turn your skin into silk. It's not a very moisturizing lotion, but it does have good staying power. Great for summer when my skin isn't as dry.

I love the Purely Silk lotion formula because it doesn't feel gloppy and greasy when you slather it on. Also, with other lotions, I stick to the leather in a car if I've just applied it. The Purely Silk leaves no sticky or oily residue like other lotions do. (I just wished I loved more of the BBW scents. )This lotion moisturizes legs and arms very well, but completely sinks in and has a velvety/silky/powdery finish. I have never seen any flakes described by many of the reviewers here. I have the mini-size ones that too. The Purely Silk costs more, but it's definitely worth the $ . UPDATE: I now have the Rice Flower and Shea, and love the scent.
