This is a really pretty nail polish color I am wearing it on my nails right now. In the bottle it looks like it would be really opaque but you do kind of have to bulid it up i wouldnt recommend skipping the 2nd coat. The 2nd coat really makes a differance. The color changes depending on the angle and the light sometimes it looks gray, purple, and blue/green. Overall i recommend this color its one of my favorites.

Very pretty colour, can be silver/blue/purple depending on the light. I got this in the mini-set of Katy Perry OPI colours. I did 2 coats then topped with 1 coat of OPI Last Friday Night for some extra sparkle, I'm very pleased with the result. I wouldn't repurchase only because I'm not a big fan of silvery nail polish, however it is a very nice polish.

This is probably the most unique nail colour I own! It looks silvery/shimmery grey but reflects as lavender and olive green at different angles. It also dries extremely fast. It's my current favorite nail polish, I'm gonna be reapplying this for quite a while. ^_^
My only qualm is that the finish is a bit streaky, but it's barely noticeable. It's also not very chip resistant. I have two coats over top of a base coat and underneath a top coat, two days later and three nails have chipped.

This is the prettiest colour ever, I love it, it's absolutely delicious. It's so unique - a shimmery gray/quartz from one angle and a metallic olive from another angle, set off with flecks of glitter. It definitely looks better in real life than any pictures. It's so different and pretty but also subtle enough to wear everyday. I just love it. I've worn it for the past week and just reapplied it tonight and am still not sick of it. It also looks fantastic under black shatter. The black emphasizes the duotone and glitter even more. My favourite nail polish shade!

Oh God, so sad... I just got this today and it fell out of my pocket and broke in a driveway T_T. Well I did manage to put it on first. Its a pearly grey with purple and green color flash and silvery sparkles. Two coats are just a touch too sheer, but now I'll need to order a new one to know what three coats looks like... ugh.
The smell was a lot less strong than most opi's im used to, and it had the pro wide brush *siiiiiiiigh* I saved the brush so I could put it in one of my oder OPI's with the weird tiny brush.
Would I buy it again? Yes. I'm not wild about it, but it was a nice color and I quite liked it. Maybe I'll swap for it instead this time lol

This color works well on me. I don't see much of the lavender, just a pale green with little flecks of silver glitter. The formula is easy to work with, though it feels a little thin.
The color is soft and I really like the look of just one coat for a sheer, subtle mani. It becomes opaque with two medium coats. It's also lovely under black or purple crackle polish!

Pretty grey with purple and green duochrome with the right amount of glitter. It's a pretty color especially on short to medium nails. I applied this in three thick coats. On my ring finger, I applied Black Shatter. It was so cute, I couldn't stop staring my my nails. This shade is my favorite among the Katy Perry collection. I would definitely purchase this color again, granted it's not so hard to find in- stores.

sorry, i know nail polish is very subjective but although its cool that it changes color at different angles, and its very unique. I hate green nail polish . when it looks like a silver its alright but when its metallic greenish silver it just looks gross to me, kinda like you have some sort of illness .

I would not buy this again. The color on me made my nails look as if they had been smashed in a car door; the shade of purple & green color made my nails look like brusied nail beds. I will exchange for another color. FYI I'm NC50 in MAC terms.

This color is awe-inspiring, The color changes in different lighting, from a chromish-purple to green. The selling-point is the micro-glitter. Completely unique color and an easy application. I used 3 coats because it is a sheer polish. Overall this is an absolute DO, especially since it's a limited edition. :)

I love this nail polish. I find it comes out relatively sheer with 1 light coat - however i layer it over other polishes, which is great as it takes the base color and adds a bit of oomph!

This is such a gorgeous color... reminds me of a black pearl, but with litlte bits of microglitter in it. I really can't take my eyes off my hands when I have this on - the change in color is amazing, and I'm just so enamored with it, I walk into walls staring at my fingers going from point A to B. I seriously have a bruise on my left wrist [I swing my free hand when I walk] from walking into the side of a door while staring at my right hand. Sure, I'm bruised purple and green on my wrist... but the purple and green on my fingertips are even better! =P

OPI's Not Like The Movies is an cool grey that flashes both an olive-y green and purple, depending on the lighting; I couldn't help but catch myself staring at my nails from time to time when I wore it, and, I got tons of compliments from people at work. It is 'safe' enough for work, yet is a very unique colour.
With respect to application, as others mentioned, the first coat was indeed alarmingly sheer - so I ended up applying 4 coats (which I found a bit of a bummer), but each coat dried fairly fast. It does tend to bubble if you don't wait long enough between coats so beware.
The manicure lasted for about 5 days with minimal chip wear, but I find that when I wear 3 coats or more, my nail polish tends to chip in chunks...so day 5 was not pretty at all.
Overall, gorgeous colour; I just wish it was more opaque. I think layering this over black, or even a purple would be quite nice and might work best that way.

This is the best I have owned out of the Katy Perry collection. This is my baby...could be used for work and play. It has 3 different colours if seen from different angle, green, grey and purple. For work, it spells sophistication without the Bleh...boring look. For play, this is an interesting colour to look at. I can't help staring at my nails! For play it looks good with opi teenage dream over it. Will definitely repurchase this!

i LOVE this colour, i was apprehensive about it, since in the bottle it looks slightly green, and i am not a fan of green polish but i do love greys which is why i bought it. and i am so glad i did. This is a very unique colour, for the most part it is gun metal grey, but depending on the lighting there are hints of green, purple and pink. it has a real 'oil slick' look to it. NLtM looks fantastic against my pale cool skin tone, and matches most outfits i'm wearing. I will definitely buy a back-up of this polish before it runs out everywhere. on a slightly unrelated side note, since all the polishes in the collection are named after Katy Perry songs from her album i feel like the perfect name for this shade would have been E.T or something along those lines as it has a very 'out of this world' galaxy feel to it.

When I first saw the KP collection I thought "everything looks great except for that awful gray." Well, I ended up seeing swatches and seeing them in person and ONLY got "that awful gray." Except it's not, it's the most unique color I own. Depending on the lighting and how to place your hands it can look gray, green, purple, teal it is so pretty! And it has a nice sparkle throughout! A+

I can't believe the buy again is so low on this nail polish! Usually I stick to non-sparkle and non-metallic, but this nail polish was just too unique to pass by. The formula and brush are great and it takes about two coats to get opaque. The best part is the compliments on this color. I would buy this over and over. Also not a huge fan of Katy, but I love her nail polishes!

I am so happy with this color. Although I changed my nail color I couldn't stand to live without wearing it again so I decided to paint my toe nails this color. It's such a fascinating color. It never gets boring. I love it! I will def be getting a back up of this.

This is one of the few polishes I have ever worn that has caused a commotion in my office. Got tons of compliments. Not Like the Movies is my favourite polish from the Katy Perry collection. Like others have already stated it’s a duo chrome that flashes all sorts of different colours from olive green to grey to lavender to silver depending on how the light hits it. It applied okay; it’s sheer and took three coats to get to the colour intensity that I liked. I topped it with Seche Vite and got three solid days of wear
