Hell no. I bought this after soooooo many people told me SMLC is the best matte lip cream. It applies beautifully, but some shades are freakin patchy. Then it dries, and that's where the hell begin. It feels like MELTED PLASTIC slapped on your lips. UGHHHH. It's very drying and after meals, it becomes really really patchy. I HATE THIS!

I only have 3 so far and I love them. I find them to be a little bit over priced for the amount you get. My favourite colour is Copenhagen. If your not use to matte lip creams or sticks, it feels weird at first but try and put a light lip chap on before applying.

I wish I could give it 3.5, because that would be perfect for my opinion. I'm quite torn on this product and I cant quite decide if I love or hate them. I guess its okay for me, but I want to love them, and I keep reaching for them. I love the packaging and the product names, they are so cute. The colors are also nice. However, the packaging and actual color are not the same. I didnt mind too much because I always look up swatches first, but its a bit annoying.
Most of the shades apply smoothly and effortlessly, and dry down matte after a few minutes. I love the bubblegummy scent, but I can understand how its off putting for some. It feels smooth and comfortable and the lips for the first few hours, but starts feeling dry throughout half the day. It also dissapears at the inner parts of the lip, and especially with the darker shades, creates a lipstick line that is very apperant.
The two darkest shades however, Copenhagen and Transylvania (Especially this) are a pain to apply. Even if I scrub my lips, they go on patchy and uneven at first, and I have to build up quite a few layers before its even. It does dry down to look nice, but it takes a bit of work.

I was so excited to try this as I've read many reviews (and watched various YouTube videos..) on how amazing the lip creams were, so I popped in to my local Sephora - NYX is not sold as a drugstore brand where I live - and went home joyfully. However, I was so disappointed as I ended up not liking it at all despite trying it 3-4 times on different occasions.

PROS:
-The packaging. It is nice, sturdy and quite cute.

-Price. Not too expensive as other well-known drugstore brands such as Maybelline and Revlon cost more per tube here.

CONS:
-The scent! Upon application, I found out (to my horror) that it gave off a scent reminiscent of bubblegum candy. Yes, it does go away after application, but I personally found it really off-putting.

-Longevity. I found that the cream did not last long on my lips after application. Also, unless I let it air dry for a few minutes, it is not really transfer-proof and smudges quite easily when I eat or drink. This is a huge disappointment for me as I like my lip products long-wearing!

-The colour. I bought this lip cream in the shade of Stockholm, and while it looked like a pretty brownish-pink nude on the tube, it just did not work on me as it looked a bit too pink on me and less nude. However, I could have just picked the wrong shade!

-Application. Many times the colour did not turn up evenly on my lips. In the end, I opted to apply the cream on the centre of my lips and pat all over the lips with my finger as the doe foot applicator just did not work for me. Also, it feels quite heavy on the lips if you apply too much - even if it is on accident. It just turns out looking horrible then. :(

All in all, I did not like the lip cream much. I ended up selling it to someone else instead. Not really interested to buy any more NYX products to be honest as I feel like they're quite over-hyped.

I bought two of these lip cremes in Milan and Prague and I'm super impressed with almost everything about them. The vanilla scent is light pleasant and doesn't linger. The smoothness of application straight out of the tube is outstanding, it also feels very light on the lips - I forget I'm even wearing a lipcolor. The colors I got are super flattering and I'm looking forward to trying more from their wide range. The only thing I don't love about them is the staying power: it's not the worst, but not very good either, they definitely don't last through drinking or eating.

I have 4 of these, Copenhagen, Monte Carlo, Stockholm, and Transylvania. The colours are all lovely, but the pigmentation, ease of application, and wearability varies with each shade. Stockholm is the winner of the four (a warm peachy nude), it goes on opaque with one coat, dries to matte relatively quickly, wears evenly, doesn't transfer much, and is not overly drying on the lips. The same cannot be said for the others, unfortunately. Monte Carlo and Copenhagen tie for second place (a deep cool red, and a deep reddish plum, respectively), more care is required for an even application, some areas might need to be gone over twice to get full opacity, and lips need to be carefully exfoliated, moisturized, and free of anything even slightly greasy before applying (such as oil, balm, etc). When it comes to overdrawing, these two are not forgiving. The overdrawn area will always be lighter than the rest of your lips, so if you want to overdraw, you will need to do so with a lipliner first. These two are more drying than Stockholm, but they still wear fairly evenly, and while there is some transfer, it's not terrible. Transylvania (blackened plum), unfortunately, is a fail. The pigmentation is not up to par, you need at least 2 coats to get full opacity, and even then it has a tendency to look a bit patchy, and once that second coat is on, it's so drying it's hardly bearable. Translyvania takes the longest to dry, and even when dry there's a comparable amount of transfer to that of a regular lipstick. I was greatly disappointed in Transylvania; my search for a good quality long-wearing dark lipstick continues.
Overall, NYX makes a decent liquid-to-matte lipstick. Not amazing, but not bad. I liked the thick consistency of the formula, and of course the cake batter smell is delightful. I will definitely repurchase Stockholm when I run out, I will probably repurchase Copenhagen and Monte Carlo, but I will not repurchase Transylvania. I am intrigued by the newly released shades, and have my eye on Rome, Vancouver, and Moscow in particular.

A great and cheap option for the matte lip trend ! I tend to feel very dry on my lips using this, so I prepped with a thick lip balm before hand. Colors are very intense in a good way

Skin Tone: NC43
Shades bought
-Copenhagen (Rich Plum)
-Cannes (Muted Mauve)
-Prague (Merlot)
-Transylvania (Deep Violet)

All these were fricking amazing! Very moisturizing compared to other matte lipsticks I've tried and I find these didn't settle into my fine lines the way some other brands did, which is a huge plus! The colours are verryyyy pigmented, but easy to work with and it starts out creamy, then dries to a beautiful matte colour...a flattering matte, not the flaky gross kind.

Be sure to prep your lips though! These won't pair well with chapped lips, so those suffering through horrible winters, stay on top of exfoliating and moisturizing your lips hehe.

Oh, one more thing...THEY SMELL HEAVENLY! I didn't know about the smell until I opened them. Beautifullllll <3

For someone with NC43 skin, I find that these colours pair pretty well and don't wash me out. Copenhagen and Transylvania are great if you're feeling a little goth romantic...Prague's a great shade for a night out, and finally Cannes is great for your everyday wear or on a date!

Since they don't sell these in Ontario, I had to order them off the NYX Canadian website; I believe they have it on the western part of Canada, but I could be wrong...the point is, I ordered it on Friday and got them 4 days later...so it was REALLY FAST!

I believe the next shades I'll order are...THE REST OF THEM!! Hehe, but realistically speaking, I'd love to give the nude tones a try...London, Abu Dhabi, Zurich, Stockholm and I'd love to get my hand on Buenos Aires (a soft coral colour)...that'd probably be better suited for spring/summer, but who cares?!

I suggest you try these...it really changed my matte lip game!

Cheers xx

The colour Abu Dhabi is my everyday lip colour! The formula is absolute perfection, matte but not drying, thick but not heavy, pigmented but not over the top, creamy but long wearing. I have no complaints at all with this product. The price point is very reasonable and i can't wait to try out some more shades.

I love these ! They smell amazing and I think the range of colours is great, from light to dark and nude to the deepest burgundy. They last a while as long as you let it dry, you have to wait like 5 minutes for it to totally set but they don't oxidize or change color or anything. Great product for the price!
