**my actual rating is a 3.5 out of 5**
The reason I bought this product is because have really damaged, dry hair which leads to flyaways and frizz. The things I love about this product are the packaging and smell (which are both very high end and elegent) and the fact that it's SULFATE FREE. The only downside to this product is that it doesn't lather very easily due to the lack of harsh sulfates, so its harder to distribute the shampoo. If you are having the same problem, I recommend making sure your hair is sopping wet before applying and having patience when lathering.
I have been using both the EverSleek shampoo and conditioner for about two weeks and so far I am pleased. I'm not in love with it but I'm not disappointed because it really does what it says (reducing frizz and making hair softer) in a healthy way.

For the first 2 weeks I really liked this shampoo as my hair was nice and smooth, no need of a conditioner after!!!
However my scalp started to be itching me (sorry if my English is bad!), and I realised I had some big dandruff on my hair, which I am not normally sensitive to at all so it was very surprising!!!
I have not finished the shampoo and will not recommend it as I believe it has strong second effects that have not been looked into yet.

Firstly, im just gonna say that i actually DID like this product a lot. It seriously changed my hair into something manageable and touchably smooth. However, the morning after i used it i began breaking out on my hair line :( :( i have such sensitive skin and i break out from almost ANY type of shampoo i use, even if its "sulfate free." thats why i only gave it 2 lippies, because my acne came back from it. Also, i dont believe this product is exactly sulfate free because the third ingredient is Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, which sounds like sulfate to me. it worked beautifully on my hair though, just not on my skin.

Used it yesterday. Now I have an itchy back with bacne for the first time in my life. I saw another reviewer had the same reaction. This was the only new thing I used. I'm returning it to Walgreens tomorrow. Stay away from this.

When I first washed my hair with this it was lovely and soft and shiney and I was really pleased with it. In fact a colleague at work commented on the lovely condition of my hair the first day that I had used it so I was really pleased.
Fast forward to a few washes later and my hair was awful. Really coarse and the ends of my hair dried so badly.
The worst bit though was getting an itchy scalp which I have never had before like that. My head just felt really itchy and when I thought about it I wiondered if it was the shampoo and conditioner of this make so I stopped using it. I did use some coconut oil to condition my hair and scalp which did the trick very nicely, thank goodness.
I haven't used it again since and really, needless to say, I won't be using or buying again!

Absolute garbage. I hope NO ONE ever puts this horrendous "smoothing" line in their hair. My hair has keratin in it so it is very smooth and shiny, after using this shampoo and conditioner only once my hair was coarse, dull, and unruly. I had to spend so much time flat ironing my hair and put so much product in to tame all the fly-away hairs it created. Any broken piece of hair was standing on end. It is a JOKE that this is considered a smoothing system. My hair would have looked 10 times better if I washed it with Suave, even dish detergent. I normally use Organix (which is great) and regret ever putting this junk on my hair.

This leaves my hair feeling slightly tacky, or gummy. I have to use sulfate-free products since I do keratin treatments, but I won't be using this one again.

After using sulfate shampoos and conditioners for a long while, I switched to the sulfate-free way of living and bought this because it is, like many have said, an alternative to the more expensive brands. I have wavy/curly hair that is usually out of control in terms of frizz, and this product does very well in its smoothing. It really helps in defining my natural wave/curl and I have to admit, my hair feels a lot softer than it does with other products in the past. However, if you buy this I suggest buying a clarifying shampoo as well (as with any other shampoo!) Some have said that it doesn't feel like it washes your hair enough, though I personally think that may be because we are so used to "clean" being determined by the amount of lather, with this product has significantly less of (although it does!) Using a clarifying shampoo once a week with this product is perfect in terms of hair care.

I bought this shampoo when I decided to not cut my hair for a year to grow it back out to it's old length. I read a lot about sulfate free shampoos and co-washing since my hair is very easily damaged and decided to get this and the matching conditioner. The one thing I noticed with this is that my hair tended to feel dirtier after shampooing than it had before and when my hair dried, there seemed to be a layer of oil on my scalp. I didn't apply the conditioner to my head, only to my ends so I knew it was the shampoo. I don't like to waste money though so I used up almost all of both bottles and just replaced them with the Loreal evercreme shamp/cond. So far the new ones make my hair feel amazing.

I bought this shampoo and conditioner as an alternative to higher end sulphate free products as I had my hair chemically starightened recently. These products in combination were awful - they left my hair really dry and coarse. My hair has never looked or felt worse. I was really disappointed as I thought this would be a cheaper alternative but I guess I'll have to find something else. Would definitely not recommend or repurchase.

I love this stuff! I was an avid KS user. I decided to try these on a whim & am so glad I did. I have thick coarse hair that I blowdry straight 2x week. I love thias along w/ the deep smooth cond & it works well for me. :) It saves me A LOT of $$$!

This broke me out all over my crown/forehead area. it took me 2 months to get clear again. such a shame!

This review is for the EverSleek Reparative version of this shampoo (the label says it's for chemically straightened or damaged hair). I spent a lot of time trying to choose which Ever product I was going to use and settled on this one. It smelled like cough medicine when I washed my hair! I used the conditioner too (same smell) and the smell lingered. My husband noticed it too.
Also, I wasn't impressed with how my hair felt after using it. It was very soft, but also kind of dry and static-y. I took both products back to the store because of the smell and I was lucky that they were able to give me a refund. CVS rocks! :)

I'd had good luck with another shampoo and conditioner combination from the "Ever--" line, so when this was released, I thought I'd give it a try to see if I liked it just as well. Unfortunately, where the combination I had used before worked well and left my hair soft and manageable, this, along with the matching conditioner, made my hair dry and hard to detangle. It smelled okay and felt nice during the wash, but my hair felt pretty stripped afterward.

I've tried several SLS free shampoos lately (including most of l'oreals, but also higher-end ones like pureology,) and this is one of my favorites. You need only a very small amount, so long as you emulsify it properly between your hands first, and it DOES LATHER. no idea why people are claiming that it doesn't, but I've noticed SLS-free shampoos do require that hair is soaking wet first, so maybe thats it. I love that my coarse, wavy hair doesn't feel stripped after using it, and I actually love the scent, which is girly without being flowery (reminds me a bit of kerastase oleo relax serum.) I would repurchase this.

I really love this shampoo! I use the EverSleek conditioner as well, and my hair feels so much healthier. I have very long hair and instead of feeling thin, straw-like, and wispy, my hair feels dense, heavy/swingy, and very healthy. Yes it might build up over time but my hair was so dry and fly-away, that it really needs some build up! I have used many of the high end salon brands for $25 a bottle, and I am MUCH happier with this. I will definitely purchase again!

There are two shampoos in this line. I use the one for dry hair. It come in a clear tube. Honestly, im not really impressed with this shampoo because its consistency is like water, therefore you have to use more. I run out of this stuff really quickly and for the price, I honestly dont think its worth it. Also, unless you use a clarifying shampoo every week, this stuff will not clean your hair enough and you'll end up with limp roots. This did increase the shine of my hair and was all natural but wont repurchase because of price. Overall I liked it though.

I LOVE this shampoo. I started growing out my straight perm about a year and a half ago, and I've been struggling to find a shampoo that would cater to both my natural hair and the 4 inches of treated hair at the ends. This shampoo worked wonders for me. For the first time in months, my hair is shiny, soft, and manageable.

For the people who say they experience dry scalp - that is because your scalp is so used to having heavy moisturising chemicals rubbed into it. It's reacting how the skin on your face would if you stopped using a heavy moisturiser in favour of a lighter one. If the problem continues, though, you can just do a weekly olive oil treatment (just rub some extra virgin olive oil into your scalp, leave over night, and wash out in the morning) and you'll be good to go!

This shampoo has wrecked my hair after only three uses. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Or negative stars!

After using it, my fine, curly hair was more frizzy (so much for 48-hour frizz control!), limp, and dirty-looking than I've ever seen it. It also felt really greasy. I gave it three chances, just in case this was some sort of acclimatization problem, but I shouldn't have. This product just sucked for me. And my hair still doesn't look right, days after switching back to my old shampoo (Nature's Gate, which is a genuine hippie shampoo without SLS or silicone) - I guess this is what I get for straying!

I only used this once, so I honestly can't say what the long term effects are, if it protects color well or dries out my hair like other reviewers state. But the smell was enough to make me want to take it right back to the store. It reminded me of being in the dentist's office. It seemed to clean well without stripping. I did like the
packaging with the flip top and tube.
Edit: just realized I wrote the review for the wrong shampoo; I used the eversleek moisture for color treated hair in the pinkish tube.

I was using Pantene for years, but just stopped as I was told that Pantene is "famous" for causing frizzies and I've had frizz problems for ages! Flyaways are also a major issue for my hair. I just started using the EverSleek, both shampoo and conditioner. I've only used them twice so not much of a history to draw on, however I was very pleased immediately with the results: much less frizz and hardly any flyaways. The down side is that my hair now feels greasy and it is also very flat. My hair is long, quite straight, but with a bit of wave to it, however as a result of using the EverSleek, it's now just straight and flat! I've noticed many of the previous reviews have mentioned dryness as a consequence of this product. But no one has mentioned greasiness. As I said, I've only used the product twice, and it has helped both the frizz and flyaways, however I don't like the feel of my hair at all. I suppose this is the trade-off for eliminating the frizz/flyaways. However I don't know if I'll buy the product again.
