This is what I wanted Nars Orgasm lip gloss to be! Orgasm is a gorgeous colour but the texture and smell make it a huge disappointment for me and I seldom reach for it, unfortunately. It dries out my lips terribly and the smell makes me feel like I need to brush my teeth! The colour is gorgeous and I am always on the look-out for a dupe in another brand - never expected to find it in Revlon! I tried Mac Lipglass in Nymphette but that leaned way too lilac and cool on me, despite the gold shimmer, and I gave it away. And then last week, I stumbled across Peony in my local Boots store. I will admit to being a bit of a snob where make-up is concerned and, aside from my Maybelline foundation (because I have decent skin anyway and don't need something fantastic), I usually stick to high-end brands such as Nars, Mac, BeneFit, Chanel and Urban Decay. I will browse high-street make-up to see what's out there but rarely make a purchase. However, I spotted this Revlon lip gloss and the colour just looked gorgeous! And a serious dupe for Orgasm! I tested it to make sure it wasn't too sheer - which I don't think it is - and hastily snapped it up. When I got home I tried it on my lips for the first time and was blown away - it's actually nicer than Orgasm! It has an awesome texture, although it was kinda strange at first. Unlike some other comments here, I find this gloss is quite pigmented. It has a thick-ish, milky consistency with very fine gold shimmer. However, it doesn't sit in the lines of your lips like some milky glosses do. When I started to apply it, it did look like it wasn't going to blend very well but after two applications, it looked much better. The colour is a glowy pinky-peach - gorgeous! I think this leans slightly more pink, whereas Orgasm is more coral and slightly more opaque as well, but this Revlon gloss somehow looks better on me than Orgasm ever has. The colour pay-off isn't quite the same as Orgasm, but I prefer it anyway. I have since purchased two more of these glosses - Strawberry and Gold Dust - and have been just as impressed with those. I will be buying more as well! For a high-street brand, these glosses are really amazing and can easily compare with a couple of my Chanel Glossimers and can definitely compete with my Mac Lipglasses! For anyone who was disappointed with Orgasm - there are a lot of us out there, judging from the reviews - then give this gloss a shot, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I did!

After being amazed by the smooth texture and amazing pigmentation of another Colorburst lipgloss, Strawberry, I picked up a couple more colors last week. Unfortunately Peony is not as high quality as Strawberry. Peony is a pinky-peach nude with gold flecks. It is very un-pigmented, if not for the slight sheen and gold shimmer you wouldn't even know you have lipgloss on. It is not very shiny, and the gold flecks look like barely noticeable gold microshimmer on the lips. It starts disappearing from my lips in about 30 minutes. The texture is goopy, comfortable but not moisturizing, and not sticky. It smells like playdough with a hint of vanilla, yuck. The applicator is strange as it flexes when you use it. I would not recommend this lipgloss because for around $8 I would expect more pigmentation and longer lasting wear.

Peony is what I wanted Gold Pink by NYX to be. This color is what I think of when I think of for the perfect lip color for a bombshell look. One coat is unimpressive on me (I have fairly pigmented lips), but two coats looks nice. The texture reminds me of NYX lip glosses. Its kinda thin in texture, and not sticky. The glitter/shimmer isn't really gritty, but I can tell its there if I rub my lips together. The gloss isn't overwhelmingly glossy but it has nice shimmer and sheen. This gloss gives my lips a slight pinky glow, and doesn't wind up looking like its sitting on top of my lips in a milky manner that often happens with lighter colors for me. I would buy this again if I ever ran out and felt the need for this color again, but I wouldn't NEED to go buy it the minute or even month it ran out.

I really like this lipgloss. The color is very pretty when applied to my lips, and it isn't sticky. I would recommend this to others.

I agree with the user below, it irks me when people rate the gloss down because the color doesn't work for them.

The revlon colorburst lipgloss line is amazing. I much prefer these glosses to higher end brands such as Buxom, or urban decay, or etc...

They are non sticky, non, oily, beautiful, and last just as long as the more expensive brands. There was no detectable taste that I experienced or smell.

Peony is a color that is extremely similar to NARS orgasm blush in the tube. However, when applied, its a pretty sheer peachy pink with small gold sparkles. The sparkles arn't that noticeable when freshly applied, however when the gloss starts to wear the sparkles can end up on your face. Overall, I would highly recommend... with drug store glosses like this, I will never feel the need to buy high end again.

What a fantastic every-day gloss. I love the color (peachy pink w/ gold sparkles) and the scent (vanilla-ish.) The package is nice too. There's not much more to say, really, than this is one of my all-time favorite glosses.

I second Vesper369 re: "This is a beautiful color, and I actually like it better than the NARS Orgasm gloss that was too pale for me. I also like the texture better, because it's not a "sticky" gloss."

To add, I think this is by far the best pink I've ever purchased.

I love this color! I picked it up on a whim because I wanted a new shimmery gloss. I would describe peony as a pinky-peach color that leans more on the pink. It has fine gold glitter in it -- pretty! Not frosty or chunky. I have fairly pigmented lips and this gives them the right amount of pop. The gloss smells like vanilla, which I like. The consistency is smooth and not tacky. It feels good on my lips and actually moisturizes them. My only gripe is that it isn't particularly long lasting, but it doesn't claim to be. The packaging is cute, I just wish the applicator was a traditional doe-foot one, and not flattened out. Otherwise, great product! I would definitely recommend it.

It really bothers me that people rate product low because they bought the wrong shade, "it is too close to my natural lip color" is not the company's mistake, it is YOURS. As for this lip gloss, it is amazing! I am really impressed with the colorburst lip gloss line and the packaging is beautiful. These are a must have, they are really and truly staple quality.

Peony is too close to my natural lip color. I may as well have had on shimmery chapstick. it really didnt show up enough to justify spending 10 bux on a drugstore lip gloss. Otherwise the formula is nice, and the packaging is very pretty. Maybe I'll try another color. I've had my eye on strawberry...

Peony is a really pretty warm pink shade with lots of shimmer. Though it's not as pigmented as some of the other Colorburst glosses, I think it looks really lovely on a nudey pink lip. It adds a nice amount of shine and some glitter to perk the lips up. The real excitement factor in these glosses, for me, is the texture. They're extremely non-sticky and as soon as I tried one on I fell in love with the formula. Though there is glitter in this, it's not gritty in the slightest and feels great on the lips. The downside to this texture is that it doesn't last as long as a stickier gloss, but I'd rather reapply this than wear a super sticky gloss. It's also more kiss-friendly, as my husband hates getting goopy gloss kissed onto him and these don't bother him! The tubes are very chic, somewhat similar to a Chanel Glossimer tube (but about half the price and of course a different formula). The Revlon Colorburst line, both for glosses and lipsticks, really is one of the most stylish looking at the drugstore! I think this is a fabulous product and will definitely be wearing it (and Strawberry, the other shade I picked up) very often, while I eagerly await the release of more here in Australia!

This is the second lip gloss I've tried (yes I'm a noob) and I'm so happy with it! It's a gorgeous Orgasm-ish color and lasts on my lips for at least 4 hours (if I'm super careful when eating/drinking). I wear it on top of nude liner and lipstick because my lips are slightly dark (naturally light plum). and it's so pretty. It's shimmery without being tacky and basically rocks because it's so cheap!

Peony is such a beautiful color, warm peachy pink with gold shimmers. It warms up my face and has the perfect texture, not too sticky or thin. The pigmentation is in between opaque and sheer. There is no offensive smell and the packaging is great too. I recommend this.

This gloss is an odd one. Despite the Colorburst name, it's not pigmented. It's less shiny than other glosses I own, and the shimmers don't show up. It has a thin, somewhat streaky formula that reminds me of NYX Diamond Sparkle gloss--which I don't consider good quality--and wears off quickly. And the packaging feels surprisingly flimsy for Revlon; the wand jiggles while I'm applying the gloss.

And yet, I like it. It gives my lips a subtle, warm pink glow that lasts even after the shine has disappeared. Although it's not especially shiny, it still magnifies my lips and leaves them looking plump and healthy after the gloss wears off. Though I bought Peony because of its similarity to Orgasm blush, it gives me the effect I wanted MAC Nymphette to have (but that one just sat on top of my lips and clashed with my natural lip color).

This is a beautiful color, and I actually like it better than the NARS Orgasm gloss that was too pale for me. I also like the texture better, because it's not a "sticky" gloss. It's not quite as non-sticky as Cover Girl Wetslicks (my favorite gloss texture - it feels like Vaseline) but it's very close. Now I'm excited to try more colors.

I am a lipstick girl. I hardly ever wear gloss but I bought this because the color was so pretty--exactly like NARS Orgasm. Despite my usual aversion to lip gloss, I really, really like this. Not only is the color gorgeous, the formula is nice. There is decent staying power but it isn't too sticky. The shimmer in it makes it feel slightly gritty but it isn't so bad that it is uncomfortable to wear. And as far as the shimmer goes, it looks much more sparkly in the tube than it does on my lips. I've worn this alone and over Revlon Colorburst Peach lipstick and I like it both ways (NC20, for reference). Classy packaging too. I am a fan.

Yes. If you are looking for NARS Orgasm lip gloss on the cheap, this would be a good place to start. It's quite a nice gloss, and since my lips aren't naturally super pigmented, there's no problem for me with the color showing up. It's got an okay texture- not sticky, but not tacky enough to stay on for very long. Personally I find it to be VERY close to Orgasm, which I did have a while back, and I won't pay 24.00 for that particular lip gloss again. :) There's no reason not to give Peony a try if you're curious. I don't have anything bad to say- I think the only thing I don't like is the way it leaves gold shimmers on my mouth when it's all gone.

Ok lipgloss not my favourite though. The colour is very sheer, just barely pink with a lot of shimmer to it. It doesn't last that long and I do not like the applicator on this very much. It feels a little flimsy compared to other applicators including the one for the super lustrous gloss. The tube is nice looking I prefer the look of this tube (longer with a nicer cap) than the super lustrous tube. Don't think this one is nice enough to repurchase. If you liked the shade in the tube and want to try something similar check out Quo gloss in Pout, it's very similar and more pigmented.

I've been a huge fan of Revlon lip glosses recently, especially the color burst ones. I decided to pick this up because it had been compared to NARS' Orgasm. I love NARS and am always up to find a dupe for a product I've expressed interest in. The quality of the color burst lip glosses overall I find good. In my opinion I feel like this gloss isn't as great as the other color bursts I've had. The only reason why I find it to be lesser quality is the pigmentation. When swatched Peony is a sheer pink with gold shimmer/sparkle. It's not bad at all and I still like it very much, but compared to Crystal Lilac's[another color burst] opaque, in your face pigmentation I was a little disappointed. It still is good for a pretty pink lip. The applicator is unique and really helps you distribute the product on your lips. Its good, but not one of my favorites. I might purchase again, just if I needed a good pink gloss.
