This product was amazing! For me, it worked just as good as proactiv. I had acne on both my cheeks, and a little on my forehead. I thought it would never go away but it did! The first week most faded. After that it did wonders for my skin. I would recommend it to anyone with bad acne. The only thing that's bad is the smell, but it's worth it. I use it twice a day, morning and night for only 30 seconds and it leaves my skin healthy. I bought it at ultra for any 7$... And I'll keep buying it!!

It sort of dries my skin out, but just barely. My skin feels fresh and just brighter after. It's a great product.
*update* This was changed to 5 lippies, because the next day, almost ALL of my pimples were gone.

Echoing a previous review, this is potent stuff. It dies your skin out like crazy -- that's why I'd much rather use this during spring or summer (when it would be fantastic), than winter, when the cold and dry weather naturally keeps my skin drier.
The exfoliating beads are kind of a miss in my book. There are tiny little blue beads mixed in with the odd large orange bead. Most of these beads kind of disintegrate upon rubbing into your skin within the first 10 seconds or so. Weird. I didn't feel like the exfoliating was as thorough as I'd have liked, but it sort of gets the job done.
I do have acne and acne-prone skin, and I found that this face wash has helped make a subtle but noticeable improvement to both of those conditions. Be extra careful if you're using this face wash as an accessory to any other acne medication. You could dry out your skin pretty badly.
Overall, I'd probably buy this again when I really need my face wash to cut through oil, which it does a great job at. However, in the fall and winter months, it's simply too drying.

It is strong! It will dry your skin out! I guess if you have super oily skin, it will work great. Not recommended as a daily facial wash, like the other review implied. For me personally it was too drying, my skin peeled the next day. It did seem to help with the existing acne, however I seemed to have more pimples emerge afterwards. Probably because of my skin producing more oil as a reaction to the dryness. I would use again if I had a really oily skin day.

PROS: Works great for my teens' acne skin. The fact that it's a scrub doesn't affect their skin poorly (cause more irritation to acne) because they use a very light pressure when using.
CONS: There really aren't any except the smell is a little bad.
ALTERNATES: They use the scrub from this line or Alba Botanica's Natural Acnedote cleanser. We like to use one of the following for any flakes that crop up: Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer or Clean & Clear Acne Control Moisturizer.
***This is marketed and labeled by Neutrogena with the idea that this is the strongest thing they have for acne, so obviously it's not for dry or even combo skin.***
