I purchased this Rimmel foundation in the shade 400, which I believe is the darkest shade available. It isn't a perfect colour match for me in the winter months, but decent enough to work with. As I have acquired a tan this summer, the foundation is a much better match. For reference I'm between NC37 and NC42, depending on the season.

I'm an infrequent foundation wearer, but I like to pop this out when only a flawless complexion will do. I use my beauty blender dupe and it gives a semi matte,
medium coverage finish. I should add that my skin is generally slightly oily and the climate I live in is rather warm for the most part. I do employ the Wayne Goss powder method whenever I use this foundation (or any foundation for that matter).

I certainly can't attest to whether this really lasts 25 hours, but I have a feeling that that is just sales puff. I'd say it can be considered long wearing though. It didn't control the breakthrough oil I experience during the day, but it didn't turn me into a greasy mess either.

As for clogging/ breakouts, I don't think I could state categorically that this has been a contributing factor. I wear this foundation so infrequently, my clogging issues could be attributed to my out of sync hormones.

I don't wear primers, but the moisturiser I use contains silica. To me, the moisturiser feels like a primer.

Conclusively, I think this foundation lives up to its claim of longevity. It feels comfortable on my skin and I haven't experienced any major reactions in the form of a mass breakout. Whether I'd purchase again depends on what I stumble upon next.

My favourite foundation even after trying higher end foundations, it has got a medium coverage but can be built up for full coverage. I have got oily combo skin it doesn't accentuate any dry patches and doesn't make my oily skin worse I pair it with the clear complexion powder also by rimmel and it keeps shine away. Great price and the brand always tends to be on offer like 3for2. Highly recommend!! I am tan with yellow undertones and use the shade soft beige.

This foundation is amazing! I have combination skin with some dry patches and after trying Revlon, Mac, and Maybelline I have finally found my holy grail with this foundation! I think 25 hour stay is maybe an over exaggeration but it definately lasts 12 hours and that's without a primer! It doesn't break me out and matches my skin tone perfectly, giving a medium to full coverage with a luminizing (but not greasy) look. It doesn't feel heavy or cakey and can be applied with almost anything (I find best with a kabuki brush). Would 100% recommend!

MY HOLY GRAIL FOUNDATION. I absolutely love it and have been using it for yeeeears. Definitely surpasses even the high end foundations I've tried. It's extremely hard for me to find a foundation that is a perfect colour match due to my yellow undertone, but I was able to find the perfect match with this foundation in the colour 300 Sand.

I love how long lasting it is even without primer, and it truly lasts all day without budging. I don't have oily skin so like to avoid using powder, and this foundation stays so well, I'm able to avoid using powder all together. The foundation is super blendable, regardless of if I'm using my fingers, a brush or a sponge.

I also love the coverage of this foundation - I can use a little on days where my skin looks good and for a more natural look, but I have a skin allergy that results in me getting a red rash on my face about once a week and this product conceals it really well (with the help of a little concealer on bad days). I love the new pump bottle too - I didn't mind the squeezy tube from a year or so back, but the new bottle is definitely much more sleek in appearance. When I get to the bottom, I just pull the pump out and use it as a little spatula to get the remaining foundation out.

I wear this foundation every day and each bottle lasts me forever. I don't even think I go through two bottles a year, and I can be pretty heavy with my foundation sometimes. It provides the perfect base for bronzer, highlighter and even liquid face and lip tint without looking cakey! I'd honestly pay triple the price for this foundation, but the super cheap price tag is just another bonus. I can't recommend it enough :)

So far fairly impressed with this product. It seems to last, I do use the primer with it. The coverage has been very good. I've bought Urban Decay and other expensive foundations before and I'm not doing it anymore I will use this one or Loreal Infallible.

How on earth does this have bad reviews for reals??
I honestly love this foundation.

ya'll can't really complain for $20NZD, YOU KNOW HOW FREAKING CHEAP THAT IS FOR THAT KINDA QUALITY,

I used to pay $70 for that stupid double wear foundation and now i've found my HG that is literally $50 cheaper.

I have incredibly oily skin, it doesn't really look that great once my oils break through when i break up a sweat but thats really only when i'm incredibly humid. People with my skin type probably feel that, i probably just need a different primer.

But other than that i still give it a 4 RATING

Went camping for 3 days, as gross as it is, i didnt take it off...i just fixed it up the mornings before i got out of my tent for everyone to see me. It's got really good coverage, looks really nice! Even after hectic nights of many adventures it held itself together and looked great. I never broke out once which was actually quite surprising,

It does cover your acne and acne scars really really great. Though i feel it does come off after a solid 4 hours of wear and makes them a little visible, but hey, powder always fixes it.

you generally need to set it with a powder if you want the matte look and for it too stay on but hey, with the way it looks i cant complain.

IT DOESN'T EVEN SIT IN MY POURS, Any lighting it looks super good and its never let me down and looking cakey,

It just has such a beautiful natural look.

heaps of my friends use it an absolute adore it too. AHHHHHHHHHHHH <3

I was a bit skeptical at first but decided to buy it and I am very surprised. I'm combo/oily and it lasted a pretty good while with no touch ups and I didn't get shiny and gross...no breakouts either. I didn't notice a strong smell or anything. It gave me great coverage and I liked it very much. I set it with Chanel loose powder and lasted a whole day. Thumbs up!

I am so happy I decided to try this foundation out. It's a medium-coverage, dewy/satin finish on my skin and it really does last all day. I don't like that it's fragranced at all, but it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, which is a plus. The shade range sucks, it's really geared for fair-light complected people. If you can find a shade that matches you, this foundation is awesome! I love the price, finish and lasting power of this foundation. I've been using it frequently after I filmed the first impressions review video and I love it a lot more than I did before. I just always have to set my t-zone area, but that's not a big deal for me.

This is my new HG foundation. I have acne prone skin, big pores and skin is also pretty dry. I was running out of my nars one and needed a cheap quick fix to hold me over til I could order more. The sales person at priceline (australian makeup store) suggested it and let's put it this way, I won't be purchasing my nars one again after this. Only pointer for dry or dehydrated skin would be to make sure you use a primer and a good moisturizer underneath to prevent it from being too matte (as it's long wearing and isn't dewy). Also coverage is med to full for me.

I really love this stuff. I usually don't have a very good reaction with liquid foundations as I find them too dark and heavy on my skin. I have been using Bare Minerals original powder foundation for so long and whilst it's lovely and light in summer I just don't feel like it gives me enough coverage! I find I need something that gives more coverage in winter and I believe I have found just that! This foundation feels really nice on the skin. I use the one with serum in with the red lid. Its £7.99 from boots and I feel this is decent. I use it with a beauty blender as my skin is fairly dry and I pair it with the rimmel primer and find this lasts a full day without touchups needed. My shade is ivory and I am very fair and feel like this is the perfect match!
