This mascara is definitely one of the better volumizing mascaras in the drugstore. It starts out with a bold gold packaging, which is nice because it really stands out in my makeup bag. When taking the wand out, you will here a loud, "sucking" (for lack of a better word) sound. The wand pops out, and is clean, and the mascara is evenly placed along the brush. The stopper does an excellent job of wiping off excess product. Upon first swipe, this mascara really just coats the lashes, with no visable difference, besides colour on my blonde lashes. However, after the third and fourth stoke, I really noticed a difference. It literally starts to make my lashes look like I have a million of them! The mascara separates and adds a great amount of volume, not to mention it really holds a curl. There are zero, and I mean zero, clumps, and I believe this is due to the style of the wand. This mascara doesn't really do much for length, nor does it claim to do so. But if you are looking for quite a nice, flared, almost false lash mascara look, look no further then this. Sometimes, if I really want stand out lashes, I will apply this first, then top it off with L'Oreal's "False Fibre" mascara (Which is another one of my favs). I believe it costs roughly around $8-$9 CAD, which isn't too bad.The reason I took off a lippie is because it doesn't do both great length and volume, like my HG, Lacome's "Hypnose Drama". I would most definitely repurchase this mascara, and I recommend it to all of my customers who are looking for a great volumizing mascara!

This and Cover Girl LashBlast Fusion are my HG mascaras! I love this mascara for its brush and dryer formula. My lashes are not troublesome, with decent length and hold a curl easily, so what I look for in mascaras is a lot of separation and volume. This does that exactly! The packaging is not only awesome and gold but the tube is designed to wipe the brush for you as it comes out, always giving the perfect amount of product and making it easy to get awesome volumized but clump-free lashes. Truly millions of lashes. The waterproof formula is great too, will continue to repurchase.

I used to love this mascara but they changed their formula and I have super long lashes and I take care of them good and I bought this mascara for like the 3rd time and they felt fine and I loved of in place they stayed and I loved the brush but the new formula make is so your lashes get reallyyyyyy stiff that causes breakage of your lashes.

I love this product, it's not really natural looking (more than one coat). I really like this though, lots of volume and beautiful, cheap too (:

Looooove this mascara! Don't understand the hate... I have this in carbon black and it gives me long, lush, black-black lashes! It doesn't flake and smudges minimally under my eye throughout the day. And my lashes are SOFT! I don't know why this is so important to me - it's not like I go around feeling my lashes all day! But something about hard, crispy lashes makes me think the mascara on them can't be doing them any favors, I use 3 coats on top, 2 on the bottom and they're still soft! I can't speak about the flaking comments (???) as I don't have any. And as I've already noted it does smudge some (one lippy off for that) but not enough to be annoying. It is a nice creamy formula (not too dry, not too wet) that adds some noticeable thickness and length. It might not be enough for some... The rubber brush takes a little getting used to. Especially since the way it's attached to the wand makes it wiggle around a bit. But the pointed angled tip on the brush is excellent for corners and tiny lashes. This is my fav loreal mascara! Beats the pants off regular voluminous! A great bargain under $10!

Worst mascara I've ever used! Flaky and does absolutely nothing for me.

Spider lashes! Really really dislike the brush, makes the lashes clump together and everything. But works fine with other brushes (I.e. desposible mascara wands) though, so the formulation is okay. Didn't smudge or flake on me.

This mascara was just okay. It still clumped and flaked on me, like a lot of other mascaras. I have short, stubby lashes that stick out straight, so I still have yet to find a mascara that stands out for me.
It can lengthen, but I also noticed like other reviewers that the applicator separates lashes a lot, which makes them look more sparse and unnatural. I also did not like the wet formula which was quite heavy on my lashes.

I bought this mascara because I wanted to try something new, and it sucked! The formula is too wet, so it weighs down my lashes. Also, it did nothing for volume. Overall, I would not recommend it.

I frickin hate this mascara....I do not have enough words in my vocabulary to properly describe just how dreadful it is. I bought this mascara two or three years ago- whenever it first came out and I really disliked it because it was clumpy and threw is out instantly. I bought this again a week ago though after seeing BeautyBaby44 include this in her top 5 favourite mascaras video. Silly me! Despite having so many bristles on the brush, it can not overtake the terribly clumpy formula and always end up looking like I have about 3 lashes. Also the wand is so flimsy and the brush is so awkward that during application I end up getting more product on my upper eyelid than I do on my lashes which I have to go back and wipe up. This mascara also smudges like crazy and cannot hold a curl. I would recommend this for no one.

I am on my third tube of this mascara and it is my #1 go-to at the moment. What I love about it is that it really defines and separates my lashes. Now, I will admit I have tried mascaras that have made my lashes look longer. I have also tried others that have made them look thicker. However, this one is fuss-free, beautiful and natural-looking. One try and each lash is beautifully defined with NO CLUMPS! My favorite mascara right now.
*Note* I usually don't use this for my lower lashes because I find the brush isn't really shaped well for this. Also, sometimes when I want a bit more length, I will layer L'Oreal falsies over this one while it is still wet and it is really striking

Just tried this mascara and was not disappointed! It smugdes a little under the eye and is difficult to apply to lower lashes but other than that is was amazing! The brush is wonderful and the tube is beautiful! I have found my new favorite mascara :)

It's my favourite mascara. Clumpless, defined wide eyed look almost immediately with it. I love the brush. I wish it lasted longer but then again maybe I just use it too much!
It does come off partially, later on in the day so your lashes don't look so wow anymore.

My lashes are pretty long now and not as sparse because I am using Latisse. But to make them look like falsies, I use two coats of this mascara after using my Shu-U eyelash curler, and I get great natural looking lashes with no clumping (except at the very tips of the lashes - I remove them once dried pretty easily) and great hold. Never any flaking or smudging, and easy to remove with my facial cleanser.

Amazing, particularly the waterproof one! Extends my lash length so much, make them very black, and so voluminous. The brush separates your lashes so you have a gorgeous fan of lashes!

I would really give it a 3.5 but there's no such thing.
It has a nice clump free brush and is buildable.
It does add a lot of drama-it does make your lashes full but the spiky brush makes them look more separated looking, not plush and fluffy. You get a lot of length too.
However, the stuff irritated my eyes slightly, and at the end of the day my lashes were sticking at weird angles. Something about this stuff is kind of uneven. And you won't get plush fluffy lashes, more like full but separate-defined type of lashes.
The regular Voluminous is MUCH better.

it is very rare that i stray away form my clinique mascara High Impact. for the first little while i used this mascara it flaked a lot and irritated my eye. but for some reason it is perfect after a few uses. it is the only drug store mascara that works like Lancome Defincils. my lashes are long anyway but i get them very well separated and long. it doesnot thicken too much just a moderat amount. so if you want to try a drug store mascara this is the one. on sale it can be only 7$.

I really love this mascara. It gives great volume and separates lashes effortlessly. What I love about it is that is so easy to apply. Only a few brushes and FINISHED ;D The only thing I really don't like about it is that it is only this good for the first weeks - after that it scatters off after a couple of hours and is almost gone after some hours.. But mascaras should be replaced after 6 months anyways, so..:) Workes for both short and long lashes. I would recommend it! :)
