I like this. I LOVE that it doesnt breakme out cause everything does. No itching, no anything, it is light but I layered with my reg powder. Also was very light with touch ups. For the price u can not beat it.

I love Hard Candy and I wanted to like this, but it broke me out. I can hardly blame them - my super-sensitive skin breaks out from products very easily, and I have to be very picky. I ended up returning it.
I liked the translucent color of this - it went on quite nicely with my powder brush and seemed to keep me matte throughout the day. I did think the packaging was bulkier and heavier than it needed to be. Also, what's the deal with not having the ingredients list printed on the product? I had to search for it on Google, and goodness knows if the one that came up is still accurate, as it wasn't from their site.
If you're not sensitive to makeup ingredients or prone to breaking out from products, you might like this. For me, the cheap price isn't worth the breakouts.

normally i used bare escentuals mineral veil to set my liquid foundation, but i'm running low and its a bit $$, so i've been looking at other options. the problem for me is that almost all of the powders i try oxidize horribly on me. i've tried them with different foundations, and i have it narrowed down to being the powder's fault, not the foundation's. they'll look great when i first put them on, but then when i check my MU again in a 1/2 hour or so i'm all orange :( and at that point noting is going to fix it unless i have some OTHER powder with me that doesnt oxidize.
i tried MAC's MSFN in light, and i LOVED the texture and how it made my skin look JUST like real skin, and not MU, but it oxidized. so in frustration, i went to walmart and picked up this Hard Candy powder and the Physicial's Formula talc-free translucent light powder. I'm still waiting to see how that one measures up, but i figured i'd go ahead and write the review for this one first :)
i got it for $8 at walmart. the packaging is cute-- theres a seperate lower part for the heart-shaped sponge and mirror. i like that the sponge is seperate, so its not getting my face's oil all over the product all day long. and the bottom part of the compact is ventilated, so the songe gets all aired out, which is nice. al in all, the packaging seems quite sturdy.
as for the product itself:
it comes off easily on my flat-top powder brush, no swiping really necessary. its easy to get TOO much loose though. i apply it by dabbing my ELF flat top powder brush on it really well, and pressing the powder onto my skin all over my face. then i go back and lightly swish off any extra powder. it gives me a much better/more flawless look than just swiping on powder does.
the color of this is labeled as translucent, i believe. when you first brush it on (as in swatching, etc), it looks white, but then blends in with my skin color when i blend it out a little more. i think it DOES have some color to it though, b/c it seems like it helps to cover up any reddness or pigmentation marks that my foundation couldnt quite cover.
as for sataying power/performance: i applied it over my foundation at around 8:20am, and then applied blush and highlighter. i didnt touch it up all day, and when i got home and checked on it at around 7pm, it still looked great! 99% as good as it did when i forst put it on! my nose looked like it was just starting to think about being greasy, but i didnt look like i needed to touch it up or anything yet. my entire cheek and forehead areas were still completely matte! AND-- NO OXIDIZING, FOR THE WIN!!!!
now i'm kind of hoping that i dont like the PF powder, as i was planning on returning one or the other anyway, and i really am impressed with this one! this is the forst Hard Candy product i've ever tried, and i think i'll check out some others now!

So I was bored at WallyWorld and I like I check out the revamped Hard Candy. I was an HC lover back when you would get your fix at Nordstrom( nestled between the UD and MUFE counters). Anyhow this powder has really surprised me ! I use it alllll the time and it has done what my Bobbi Brown and MAC powders couldn't - mattify without chalkifying me. Now because I am ghostly pale this work wonderfully- but I could imagine lovely darker skinned ladies having some issues with this.

I really love this stuff!!! I use it after I put on my foundation in the morning and I put it I'm my purse for touch ups throughout the day. I love the packaging, it is a bit bulky but I actually don't mind that because I keep it in my purse and I feel like its made like that for that reason. I also like the little heart shaped sponge that it comes with, itsgreat for touch ups throughout the day.

I picked this up about 2 weeks ago from Walmart. The compact is very cute and sturdy & great for carrying in your purse or bookbag for touch ups on the go. I live in Arizona, and while walking around my university campus I do tend to get a little bit oily on my face but I just dab a little of the powder with a kabuki brush and I'm good to go! It is very translucent and doesn't provide any coverage so I wear it over my foundation. It does the job without making my face look chalky and dry like other matte products do. I would definitely recommend it.

This is the perfect mattifying pressed powder compact to carry around in your purse, I'm now on my second one, my first dropped on a cement floor and that was the end of it :( I tried to attempt to keep using what was still left in the pan but since it was all crumbly it just didn't work out. I love the little heart shaped sponge that it comes with, also the "Get ready for your closeup" on the mirror is too cute, except that it rubs off too easily so now its just black smudged lines :( I used to use this to set my face makeup everyday with a kabuki, before I got my HG Elf HD loose setting powder <3. Now I use it for touch ups when I'm out and about and need to check my face/take care of shine. Works great, I will repurchase it I don't find something cheaper and equally as good.

Great blotting powder! Doesn't make you look like a ghost, gets rid of shine/oil. If my face gets oily, I like to take a tissue and dab my face first, and then blot on the mattifying powder. I never use the kute little heart shaped sponge, I use a brush of my own. The price is excellent and worth it.

Will update. So far I like this very much. I purchased two at Walfart because at eight bucks it was such a steal. I also did not want to pay over 30 bucks for my usual he favorite or go on evil bay and get sniped out. All I wanted was a powder that would set my liner and keep it from migrating to my upper lids, so far doing the job.

Love this! I wore it for over 8 hours over my Missha BB cream, and only blotted/re-applied powder once during lunch. I have very oily skin that would get super shiny quickly, so to go the whole day without smearing or shining is amazing. Usually my foundation/BB cream would smear off when I touch my face at the end of the day, but not when I wear this.
My only complaint is that the packaging is a bit bulky, and the mirror is under the powder, so you have to flip it over and over when applying powder. The included sponge is quite nice too, even though I use my retractable brush instead. Pretty affordable as well.

I would only stick to this product if it actually came in colors not transparent. I tried it and yes it worked on mattifying my skin but i look so paled and dull after if your light and pale then this will work for you but if not i wouldnt recommend!

this has replaced my usual setting powder, rimmel stay matte. I love this powder! i do have to reapply once/twice because i have oily/combo skin, but i don't mind at all. i throw this in my bag with a cheapo elf kabuki brush and off i go. it doesn't leave my face looking cakey. the huge bonus is the packaging - much more portable and secure than rimmel stay matte. It's a little more expensive, but the convenience of the packaging (and cuteness) makes up for it.

I love this powder. I've never really been able to find one that mattified my normal/combination skin where I needed it to without looking chalky and making dry patches more obvious, or that lasted a decent amount of time and set my makeup to a natural finish. This powder works wonderfully. I can dust it on after applying my makeup and it just gives a refined, finished look to my face, rather than making it look chalky or over-powdered. It just looks natural, and it lasts a long time and never makes my skin dry or flaky. I'm still on my first compact and have a little bit left, and I bought it last Spring. So it's lasted me almost a year and I've literally used it every day (except for the few days I was sick and didn't put makeup on), at least once but more often twice a day, as I tend to have long days and need that touch-up in the evening. The packaging is pretty decent, though I do wish the compact was more, well, compact. It's pretty thick and has a bubble-top lid that sticks up, but it's really nothing to complain about. The pan with the powder lifts up and there's a mirror under that, along with a compartment with a sponge for application. (At least I think it was a sponge... Whatever it was, I didn't use it and tossed it so I can only assume it wasn't very effective.) This costs only $8 at Wal Mart. I already have a new compact on-hand for when this runs out, so I have repurchased and will continue to do so. I'm also going to pick up their Moon Glow powder (I believe it's called) because I've heard great things about that as well.

I'm an NW05 and this is light enough for me. It makes my shiny sunscreened skin matte with just a little bit of product. I find that it applies the best and most natural with my E.L.F Studio Powder Brush in a stippling motion without tapping off the extra powder. The sponge it comes with sucks, I tried using a round sponge and sweeping it on but it looked terrible, so definitely apply with a brush. It hasn't made me break out which is awesome, and it lasts on the face a long time as well. Definitely recommend

A great product for anyone that has combination/oily skin (like myself) that needs oil control. It really works well at keeping my face shine free for a very long period of hours. Also it doesn't cake up on the face. And, it has absolutely no smell to it either.
One of the best beauty buys one can make!

OMG! This powder has pretty much the cutest packaging ive ever seen! I love it! But anyways ...
The product does exactly what it says it will do.. a mattifying VERY translucent powder. This provides ZERO coverage.. which Im actually a bit disappointed in because It is such a great color for us pale folks but alas.. tis only a mattifying finishing powder! Will work great for a universal powder for all foundations so you dont have to keep buying separate powders for separate foundations which is good! So I will use it for that purpose!
I hope some day hard candy will come out with powder foundations.. that would be amazing! Cant wait!

So far, I absolutely love this product. I used to use MAC Studio Fix fluid and powder (NC35 or NC40, depending on time of year), but lately I've been using my Revlon Colorstay (color varies), Milani Multitasker powder (Light Tan) , with a finishing touch of the Welcome Matte. The 3 products all together are cheaper than the two MAC products, and they last just as long for me. It doesn't feel as heavy or harsh on my skin. The packaging is super sturdy and super cute. I don't know how many times my big butt has sat on this thing and it didn't break. Anyways, I say it's definitely worth a shot, especially with most drugstores' no hassle return policies with cosmetics. ^_^

Love this product! So much good reviews so I had to purchase. It kept my face shine-free for a few hours. Since its in my to-go make up bag, just a little touch up & I'm good to go. The sponge that came with it is cute but I wouldn't use it with this powder, I purchased a small puff from target for $1.09 & comes with two!! & fits perfectly in the case. Would purchase it again & definitely worth a try because its less than $10

I love this product! Just got it a few days ago since it finally came into stock and I've used it every day since. My regular powder is Mac natural finish (I think that's the name) in dark... Because that's what the sales girl insisted I needed. :( so yeah I hate the Mac powder. It's too dark and it goes oily super fast. I now apply a teensy bit of the Mac and then lightly dust the welcome matte over it. Gives that airbrushy 1950s look I love of flawless soft skin. Even with the tiny bit I use. <3 my new favorite. It's possible that over a foundation and powder that is my shade it may turn my face chalky but over the slightly too tan foundation and the very small amount used it's perfect.

I am LOVING this powder! I've actually switched to this from my all time fave Clinique powder. I've gotten more compliments on my skin and complexion since I switched. It lasts all day and doesn't look cakey. It's also super cheap!!! The only thing I hate is that it takes a few swipes with my brush to get enough product on it.
I will buy this again!!
