Creamy...Soft...and it feels like actuall creme, thats how soft it is :)..... i use the 200 shade forgot whats its called but its a little lighter than my natural skin tone but it looks good, it blends well, but u need a good primer before you use this because if you have greasy/oily skin then it will show up, and if you have some dry/flaky areas, it will show a bit so try to avoid putting it on those areas.... apart from that it looks lovely on and it doesnt look cakey at all. best to use with a brush then when youve done that, use your fingers and blend in then set it with powder and use a nice pinkish rosy blush (no too much!) but i wouldnt recommend if your face is very very oily, unless you have time to use grease collecting paper things to get rid of shine and oil, then you are fine =]

Didn't really like this product on my skin. It had a nice luminous look to it but I found that matte particles looked too big and didn't sit nicely on the skin. I usually use dior foundations as they have a flawless finish, so this didn't really meet the bar.
Overall I would say you could give a better matte result by dusting translucent powder on top of a good hydrating foundation.

This is the best foundation I've had in a long time.
Pros: Cheap, great colour, goes on well, feels nice, matte finish
Cons: Nothing much, except it's going to be fiddly to get the last bits out!
EDIT
After a while I found this oxidises a bit too much and it doesn't have the same consistency it once did.

Despite the average rating, I bought it to try out when I saw it on 25% discount. I bought the wrong color though, #240, it was still workable, just a tad too dark (I am between NC25 to 30). This is NOT easy to apply hence 1 lippe off. I have to be really careful not to apply too much cos it does not really blend easily, but with the right amount on my fingers (have to use fingers with this, brushes are useless with this texture and sponges are ok, but fingers add warmth which helps with blending) each time, it will even out quite nicely. Coverage is really medium at best, and it is unfortunately not buildable, becos when I try to put more, it gets cakey, or it does not blend in anymore, you get like "silicone balls n flakes" on your face. So with this start, I was thinking I am gonna hate this. BUT I was wrong !! After a few mins, the foundation seems to settle in the skin and my face looked quite natural but still matte. And it stayed matte thru the day !!!! like for 12 hrs. Normally after 2-3 hrs my nose usually starts to shine, but with this, no shine, and when I tried to blot after 5 hrs, it was just slightly oily....this is just amazing for me. I usually use Revlon CS to control the oil, but it causes breaks out after pro long use, so I have to rotate my foundations. I have been wearing Matemorphose for a week now, no breakouts, and I have also gone back to buy the lighter shade 200, the color is a perfect match for me:D I am really delighted with this find. My only tip with this is, you do not need any other silicone face primer, but you do need a light face moisturiser as a primer becos dry skin will not gel well with this foundation. I use Body Shop's Face primer Moisturise IT, which I find provides me just the right balance. I hope this will not be discontinued. :)

Let me add my two cents on this one. I am generally on higher -end foundations but I love to try out every novelty on the market. Therefore I gave it a try. I have a sample in 140 Beige Naturel, which I thought it was a tad darker on my NC 15-20 skin; however it wears lighter that it appears. The shade was then correct.
I loved the application. Smooth like silk. I was very happy as it glided on my skin, blened in like magic. Result was matte and covering enough. it was matte, and powder was not really needed but I added a tad on my T-zone as it's oily, to be on the safe side.
However I read in the ingredients list that it has NO water in it, like all other foundations have ("Aqua" that is the 1st ingredient in all creams and foundations; however it was not mentioned in the ingred. list of Mat Morphose!!).
I was a bit doubtful as my skin need to be hydrated... and what would turn out with this foundation as the hours passed by??
Result: 2 hours after my skin was a bloody mess! it was all shiny on my T-zone, (and it was powederd!) w/ dry patches where my skin had "eaten up" all the foundation (don't know what happened but I can guess as it had no water in it, my skin absorbed all it could in the foundation....and the foundation disappeared).
Very bad, you cannot trust this foundation. Very poor results. Definitely a no buy.

I first RIS in the second lightest colour and I really liked the look of this on my skin.It looked even and matte but not chalky.Only problem was it was slightly too dark so I bought the lightest shade (rose ivory) and this looks much better. You only need a tiny bit and it spreads really well,it lasts a good few hours and doesnt need to be reapplied.I got it on a 3 for 2 so am very pleased.

I'm not 100% sure about this one, a little confusing for me. My mum had bought it 1st and I was a little curious about it so I tried hers out. . Absolutely loved it. Gave such a nice matte flawless coverage. And the texture was soo nice and creamy. I ended up finishing off hers. And I went and bought another for myself. Now I'm not sure if i got the shade wrong or what . . But the one I bought just wasn't working out for me. It seemed a lot thicker then the previous one and took a lot of blending to get a good coverage. I'm just wondering if it was a bad batch that I got or what?

I am on the fence about this one. I really love the consistancy and the coverage and the colour match to my skin! I like the cute packaging however it can be a little fiddly at times. However this matte 'souffle' as they call it really sticks to any dry flaky patches on my skin and doesnt wear too well on my oily skin, which isnt what im looking for in a foundation! If you have a normal skin type and are looking for a foundation to offer natural coverage then i would recommend this however for me, the searching continues!!

I'm still on the fence about this one...
I tried a sample first (in Beige Natural), which felt very soft and looked good, but was a tad too light for me. So I went and bought it in a promo sale in a shade darker (Rosy Sand) which, colorwise, is perfect. It gives me matt skin with a little glow in it, which I love :)! However, it does emphasize dry spots by clinging to the loose skin, so that's NOT good :(...
And... I broke out BIG time after wearing this a few times this week, so overall I'm not impressed... Me breaking out could've been because of hormonal changes (period is due...), so I will try later in the month and see how it goes and re-review :).
Okaaayyy, a few weeks down the line I've come to the conclusion that the break-out was hormone induced, so I'm officially off the fence and I will admit that I like this foundation :),

I got this in a swap and I liked it so much I went out and bought another one.
Im quite pale and the shade I got in the swap was golden ivory. This is slightly too dark but once blended it actually settled quite well and looked very natural. It goes on smoothly and blends like a dream,I use my fingers and it took seconds to do my whole face.I bought my own jar in the lightest shade rose ivory and this is perfect for me.I actually bought two as Boots is having a 3 for 2 on ALL their makeup so I got two of these and a mascara.

This product really sucks! It does not work at all as a foundation! I read all of the reviews on here, and thought it was great. Its not. It looks really cakey and it dries out my skin. Since it was quite expensive, it was a big bummer. The only thing it works for is contouring the jawline. Nothing else.

I really like this. It blends so easily! When you buy it you'll probably think, wow there's almost nothing in here, well, there's not much in there, but you only need a tiny bit on your face.
I do gotta say, when you have a dry skin, this is not a good product for you, cause it shows little loose parts of your skin when you have a dry face. I would recoment liquid foundations for that!

this is the best foundation i have found and used so far. you have to test in on your hand and then the face to find the right color. it took me an hour because of bad lighting at the shop. but i was amazed how easily and smoothly it melted into my skin.
of course it does not last for 12 hours but for about 3-4 hours and my T-zone shines. However, this foundation does not make my face greasy and sticky like other "mattifying claiming" foundations. I blot and apply powder on my t-zone, but my cheeks stay perfect! the the face looks very glowy and porcelain all the day. the best thing about it is that it's very easy and fast to apply with your fingers, it's like a cream that melts into your skin. you can build up the light or medium coverage depending on your desires. the container will last for 3-4 months (using it every day).
It doesn't clog my pores or break me out. The packaging is unsanitary though. I put a small amount of foundation out with a wooden nail stick. Not very convenient...
I will re-purchase until i find a really good foundation with mattifying effect. it's a good product for loreal.
update: 20.12.2010
sorry to say but I stopped using it because I found out Estee Lauder Double Wear controlled the oil and stayed on much better.

I tested once a sample of Matte Morphose, but I already was sceptical because I don`t trust products marked for "all skin types". I don`t agree with that marketing tip to attract more clients. Cause the same product cannot satisfy the needs of too different skin types, at all.How can they say it is good for a dry skin, I felt my face pretty dry after uuuuuuuuntil I got rid of it and saved by my hydrating cream. I would definitely won`t buy it, besides it doesn`t look very natural on my face.

When I first started using this, I wasn't convinced at all. I put it away for a while and while I was cleaning out my makeup closet, it was suddenly there again. After some raving reviews on the net, I gave it another try and I'm glad I did! It's soft on the skin, it looks natural and it gives an even, slightly matte finish. I use one of the lighter shades (I think it's 'Golden Ivory' but I'm not sure) and it's a good match for my NW20 skin tone. It has good staying power, the color doesn't change on my face during the day and the price is fair.
The only problem I have with it, is the packaging. I don't like having to put my fingers in a jar to get the product out. But considering all the positive things, that's just a minor flaw.
Not my HG but definitely good enough!

I love this foundation because it's exactly what I was looking for at an unbelievable low price rate. I tried it for two coupons from magazines, it wasn't my good shade, too dark, but it looked so amazing on my skin that I ended up looking naturally tanned so I love it! It's coverage is low medium, but it does improve the appearance of skin a lot, even brings matte-tiness to the skin (the T-zone might need a little re-application since the weather is hot) but I just love the easily blending and how I got the look I wanted from it when I was actually contemplating of buying the more expensive Chanel-mousse bronzer (sooo expensive and maybe I wouldn't have liked it?) from a drugstore's brand.
I will buy this product, in the shade I tested - Honey Warm Beige (I am actually very fair but this shade blends so well that I look warmed up and a little tanned) because it's so good and the finish is top quality-expensive brand look like (I used a Chanel foundation once too, also a shade too dark to make me look tanned and this Matte Morphose literally looks just as smooth and lasts matte just as long as Chanel did - on me, I have combination skin so the nose will shine sooner than the rest of my face).
I think I can build easily more coverage with it but I don't want to, I like it with the first thin layer too.
Another great expensive in quality but low in price product from the L'oreal makeup line. Sometimes they mess up, but not with Matte Morphose.
I just really hope they don't discontinue it because they sometimes do, with their best products.

I got a sample 3 weeks ago from a magazine and used it just too see how it looks like. I wasn't very pleased with L'Oreal foundations before, but this one is different. I tried it before going to a party and my face looked very nice all night long (also in the pictures which is very important for me) and that's why I decided to buy it.
This foundation is perfect for me only in the summer ,my face is a little dry to normal, not so large pores and it blends just great; but for the cold weather I'll need something more nourishing. If you want to buy it be careful because the colours are way more darker in the jar than on the face, I tried 3-4 samples before finding the one who matched me. You should definitely try it on your face before buying.

Overall a bit disappointed by this
I was attracted to it by by the idea of having 12 hours of matte skin but found that not only did it not really cover my pores but when it was on it actually made me more oily. The foundation only seemed to last 4-6 hours and I noticed after a few days that I was developing little bumps under my skin (though it could have co-incided with hormonal changes)
Pros
- The colour matching was pretty decent - I used the darkest shade as I found that worked best. It was perhaps a tiny bit red but it actually looked quite natural and dewy when I first applied it.
- If you get a good colour match the effect can be quite natural - I almost never put on foundation and my fiance (who is not only observant but also gets up close and personal ;-) ) didn't notice that I had any on.
- It applies quite smoothly. I used a little plastic spatula to scoop it out of the container (otherwise it's quite unhygenic) and only needed less than a pea-sized amount to cover my whole face. One tub, with daily use, would probably last months
Cons
- The coverage is light to medium. I have reasonably large pores in the T-zone and found this didn't really do much to hide them. What's more I couldn't really layer it to provide thicker coverage
- definately not matte for 12 hours! I barely lasted 4 hours before I noticed an oily sensation, quite disappointing
- staying power is terrible - after about 6 hours I could barely tell that I had anything on
I think this would be a nice foundation for those with dry skin who want a natural look or if you only need foundation on certain occassions re going out for an evening.
Will not repurchase but honestly I think this little tub will last me ages even if I use it every day (which I won't)

I really like the texture of this stuff. It feels a little like a silicone primer when you apply it, and goes on smoothly. The colour match was fabulous, and the finish was smooth, poreless, and luminously matte, as promised. It feels wonderfully comfortable, not heavy at all. I think if I had a different skin type, I would adore this, but unfortunately I found that it accentuates flaky bits and tends to settle in fine lines.

For me this was, if not the best the foundation I've ever tried then definitely up there with the best, and better than any other matte or mouse makeup I've ever tried.
As soon as I apply it my skin looks velvety and even, my pores are completely diffused and it covers the odd blemish and redness around my nose in a natural gorgeous way. My best friend and sister both think it looks really nice on as well.
It doesn't keep my face matte all day unfortunately - only around 4 hours, so I have to carry powder with me when I'm out and about.
I think the colours are also fairly natural and there is something for most people. Even though they look quite dark in the pot they are not so dark on.
The size is quite small - only 20ml. I'm yet to see how long a jar will last me, although I don't seem to need too much per application.
I'm excited to see how this will look using primer underneath and wether it will last even longer that way
