This is a very good foundation in terms of quality. Full coverage without the "cakey" effect. The only drawback is that there is a poor selection of shades. I am MAC 25, and they gave me 112 amber which i find dark for my skin tone. My perfect shade is Estee Lauder Double Wear 2c1 pure beige.

I loved it. When my acne was so bad I felt I couldn't leave the house, it dulled the redness and covered things up nicely. It's so soft and never seemed to make me break out more! I loved the smell and if it weren't so darn expensive I'd be out like a shot to buy more, but alas, I'm broke :(

I have the oiliest face on the planet and nothing ever seems to work for me until this fell into my lap. My mom actually bought this at Marshall's wicked on sale, but she had thought it might be more of a moisturizer, so she gave it to me to try. The color is wrong for me, but I noticed how almost impossible it was to blend because of how quickly it dried into my face- sounds like a negative but in all honesty it destroyed any oiliness and even after many hours I felt so much less oily than ever before. I don't look insanely matte with it, just closer to what normal non-oil slick people look. Because the color is off I have to get creative with mixing other stuff into it, but it's totally worth it. If I could afford to buy it in the right shade I would. Gladly.

I purchased this from the Clarins counter when I was looking for something long wearing and polished for work.
I really like this foundation. It's not going to be for everyone and if you're looking for a light natural foundation this is not it.
The Clarins SA said to me that it is a matte finish, long wearing foundation and I agree with that. Not too matte that I look cakey but matte enough that it hasn't slipped off my face after a few hours.
I get a full work day out of this (8+ hours) with only one touch up around the T zone - light dusting of power and the best indicator for me that this is wearing well is that it sticks to my nose! Most foundations disappear from my nose completely after 3-4 hours even with a primer.

The SA said this foundation MUST be applied to well moisturised skin and I agree with this. If your skin is not exfoliated and well moisturised I can imagine it may be more difficult to apply and may highlight dry patches. I didn't experience this.

Pros:
Good coverage - medium to full depending on your application
Pump bottle is great for not over doing the amount of product
Easy to apply with a foundation brush followed by blending lightly with a sponge.
Price - this is more affordable than the Chanel foundations I have been using.

Cons:
I chose a slightly wrong colour - One shade too light for summer - not the products fault! All mine but it makes it difficult to determine whether this could be my HG.

I have been on a major hunt for a good foundation. After I had my son, my skin went crazy. I use to use the Mac Studio Fix powder and just loved how it covered so well and stayed matte. But now my skin is extremely dry and when I try my old Mac, it looks terrible on my skin. So I have been trying so many different liquid foundations, Dior, Urban Decay, Stila, YVSL, MUFE, Lancome, Almay, Revlon, Tarte and so many more. I found that I wasn't happy with any of them for one reason or another. I was looking for a matte finish and a medium coverage to full coverage. I also have extremely sensitive skin and I think I'm starting to get Rosacea. When I tried this stuff, I instantly loved how it looked on my skin. I was worried that throughout the day it might not look as good but I was very impressed. This stuff looks just as good in the afternoon as in the morning. Also, I don't even need to use a powder, the finish is so nice.

I will definitely repurchase this product.

This foundation has everything I want – good coverage, long lasting, natural finish and a perfect matching shade!
It's medium coverage so it easily hides redness and blemishes and can be layered for fuller coverage without looking heavy. It has a more matte finish but still looks natural. The trick though is to apply it with a makeup sponge for that natural look that doesn't settle into lines; using a brush made it too cakey.
The shade selection is great - the 105 Nude shade perfectly matches my fair skin with yellow undertones - and it never oxidizes. The price is also reasonable for the quality and a bottle lasts me about 4-5 months (and I use it daily).

I have tried every foundation from Chanel to $12 cheapies and this is definitely my ONE! I have been on the search for the perfect and flawless looking foundation and I think this is as close as it gets.
It is quite matte but if you are a bit oily it will be more of a semi-matte. I don't think this would work for people with dry skin but as I am still quite young my skin is a bit more oily than other people's, so it works great for me.
The smell is also quite pleasant. I don't understand people who get really upset about smells, they don't particularly bother me, but I do find this nicer than other foundations I've used which can sometimes smell quite chemically (which is awfully off-putting!)

Pros: Beautiful finish (on combination/oily skin), nice smell, good range of colours, full coverage to the point where you no longer need concealer for many areas

Cons: Price! But you can get from strawberry.net for about NZ$50 :D so get matched up and purchase online! Also at night when I've had my foundation on for over ~14 hours it starts to feel really heavy and sticky o my skin. But that takes a long time to happen and you can't expect it to remain perfect forever, right?

After using Double Wear for years, I'm searching for a new foundation. I really hoped Everlasting would be the Holy Grail!

I must admit I haven't actually bought this foundation, but have tested it over a few weeks with several free samples from the Clarins counter. I have been swithering on whether to buy it or not! Here's why:

Good Points:

Very good coverage (for old acne scars, uneven skin tone in my case)

Looks quite natural and glowy (more natural finish than DW and covers better!)

Easy to apply with fingers and nice finish

Cheaper than Double Wear (?)

Bad Points:

If your skin is at all oily, there is oil breakthrough and it wears off after a few hours

Doesn't have the right shade for me

Tends to oxidise on my skin and go darker/orange

I have combo skin - oily T zone - and some days, oilier than others. I was willing to overlook the 'not lasting' problem (even though I set with powder), since I only work in the mornings, it didn't matter too much. Though I have to say, by the evenings, my skin looked a right mess with this.

But worse than this, was not having the right shade for my pale olive skintone. I tried Sand, which at first I thought looked really nice, until I examined it closely in daylight and realised it was too dark and orange-toned. I then tried a sample of Nude, but it was too pale and washed me out.

You're probably wondering why I was considering buying it at all BUT it does look lovely, really nice when you first apply it, and for maybe 3-4 hours.

I did try it again today with a primer underneath and it went on even smoother and lasted a bit longer - until mid-afternoon. So primer definitely helps.

Unfortunately, just can't find the right yellow-toned shade. If I could, then I probably would buy it.

I'd recommend this foundation for people with non-oily skin, as it will last longer once applied and maybe those with a darker -tone skin than mine.

I really didn't know whether to give this 3 lippies or 4 ... but since it doesn't work for me, gave it 3 (though it probably works great for other people with different skin type).

I really wanted to like this foundation, I'm always on the lookout for the 'perfect' foundation, that makes me look flawless.

The first thing you notice about this product is the smell - it is calming, smells of cucumber! The bottle has a pump which is great, Estee Lauder should take note for Double Wear!! Once I've moisturised my skin the foundation goes on pretty smoothly. The consistency is so light and looks PERFECT.......................................for about 1 minute. For some reason this foundation just dries SPLOTCHY on me, it looks absolutely dreadful! I'm so disapponted, it just does not seem to work with my skin at all. Back to Double Wear!

UPDATE: had to return it, really made my wrinkles show up big time - just too heavy. Prob good if you dont have wrinkles. I have purchased Trish and so far I love it.Started with samples of this foundation as well as the Clarins Restorative one. And by this one I mean the Everlasting Liquid - not the compact. The color #103 Ivory (the lightest) of this one was much better, more of a cool base instead of warm/yellowish. This one stays on all day and looks great without any touch-ups. I dont use powder with it as my skin is farely normal and powder just shows off my lines, etc. I use my regular Renee Rouleau moisturizer under it and it goes on smooth and even and does a great job of coverage. REALLY, REALLY like this one so far. My skin is very sensative and does get clogged pores sometime and so far I haven't seen any problems at all. Will def buy again. AND it is sooo much cheaper than the restorative one which was $60 before tax - way too much for a foundation. This one was $36 - still a little high but worth it.

Looove love love this foundation. I have very fair skin and the shade 103 ivory gives me flawless doll skin. It covers well and smells of watermelon (a little strong in my opinion). It will last all day and you only need a tiny amount of this to cover your whole face. I have dry skin and sometimes I mix it with my moisturizer and it still gives a really good coverage and a very natural looking result. The finnish is matte BUT with a really nice kind of ''glow''.
Perfect!!

This is my HG foundation - I actually love the MAC Matchmaster almost as well, but it tends to break me out if i wear it for more than a few days in a row. and has a bit of oil breakthru half way thru the day. Everlasting actually has a bit more coverage - making it a full coverage IMO - it lasts all day and if i take a moment a time or two thru the day to rebuff it with a mineral makeup brush, it melds my breakthru oil back into the foundation/skin and looks better than ever.
The trick in applying is to blend it a bit at a time as with all long wear foundations - this gives me and my large pores the nicest finish ever and doesn't actuate my lines and creases. My skin looks refined and finished with just a scant amount of my very red places showing thru. It's been very difficult to find a foundation with good coverage that doesn't look or feel heavy and wears wear, and doesn't accentuate my older skin.
My only two complaints are that the nozzle tends to clog so have to clean it out with a toothpick about every three days and that the shade range has nothing darker past Amber 112, which is about an NC30. So I have to mix it as I get more color in the warm months - I picked Lancome's new Teint Idole 24 hr. in a very dark shade so that i can add as little to my Clairins as possible to not mess with the formula and finish.
You will get a lot of lighter skin tone ranges out of this Clarin foundation, so sure to get a match there.
I've tried so many foundations thru my life in all price ranges, and this one I keep coming back to!

My HG foundation! Finally a color light enough for me! Not only that but it gives amazing coverage, smells fantastic and lasts forever. FYI, I don't even use concealer anymore because the coverage is so good! It still looks pretty natural though. I also like that I can use my hands easily for application, and the packaging just looks pretty! I also feel like it self matifies so if I'm low, or out of my Mac msfn, I can skip a powder!

Ok, this is my first review on any product, I have been searching for months and months for a new foundation. For years I was using mac studio fix fluid (nw20), but felt it was time for a new foundation plus only one store sold mac so it was hassle having to get it. I felt my make up was quite boring and it didn't last as long as I wanted, so I ventured for clarins everlasting. I was matched to the colour honey which was perfect. I have combination skin but still managed to find this hard to "look right" and blend. I was using a foundation brush. I found it did cake/crease on parts on face but it does have a good coverage. It will definitely last months so the price is ok for this. Sadly 6 weeks after using this my skin has broken out terribly, i have red patches with little lumps on my cheeks and dry patches under my eyes. This was my first clarins products and it will be my last. I don't suffer with bad skin nor have I sensitive skin but this was the only new product I used on my face. I will keep searching for the right foundation but this was a big let down. :(

Finally I've found the foundation for my spring skin. My skin was very dry during winter and as the spring turns into summer little by little, my skin has gotten better and oilier. I don't have flaking anymore and the dry parts have normalized to a point where my combination skin is rather normal to oily than normal to dry. I already have good winter and summer foundations but nothing for spring time so it was about time to get this.

I don't recommend purchasing this the way I did. Or actually any High End products. This is my first product from Clarins and I bought this foundation without trying out a sample first. This time the risk was worth it and as I'm such a foundation junkie as another reviewer put it I wouldn't really have minded if it hadn't work for me. I would've just stored it and tried another time.

The foundation feels light on the skin and it has this faint cucumber scent to it. I don't feel that I have anything on when wearing it. It has a good coverage. I wouldn't say it's a full coverage but it's not medium either. It's somewhere in between. I've been on the look out for a full coverage foundation but lately I've felt that I don't really have need for it although my skin is uneven, has few scars, red cheeks, blemishes and so on. I just feel more home with medium+ foundations.

Although Everlasting is a liquid foundation it sets quickly. So don't be fooled by it and don't dry to apply it on your whole face at once. Take some foundation on your brush and work in sections. Left cheek, right cheek, forehead, chin... As usual, less is more. And although it sets quickly I've found it to be easy to work with. You just have to be fast with it.

At the moment, I've noticed only one con and for me that is actually a good feature. Fresh application sets into a matte finish but after few hours it gets a bit more dewy as the face gets oilier. But because the effect is more dewy rather than shiny I'm a little hesitant to call it a con. I actually like it and if I wanted to get rid of it I could easily dust it back to matte again with some powder. Also worth to note, and this is a big deal with me as foundations usually cake quite easily on me, this does not. Even after powdering it's all good. But if you have an oily skin I think it might turn into a shiny mess.

I've worn this foundation 11hrs already today and It's still good. But bare in mind I always wear primer underneath my foundations and I usually spray some Skindinävia setting spray on top of them. With this setups it hasn't caked, moved or oxidized. Besides cakiness I've always had few other major problems. Due to my skin's excess dryness and oiliness foundations usually move and fade easily if I haven't been careful with application. With this I can be quite careless and it won't budge after it has set.

Also if foundation oxidizes it's a huge deal breaker for me. I'm pretty fair so it's very noticeable when foundations oxidizes on me. This is one of the rare ones that doesn't do that. I was a bit hesitant when the MUA in KICKS counter recommended one shade darker for me as I was afraid that if it oxidized I would look quite horrible. It's really embarrassing when you drive home from work and you look yourself from the rear view mirror and you see an orange mutant looking back at you. Thankfully this foundation hasn't done it to me. Now that I've used it for a week, about 14hrs a day, I haven't noticed any changes in the shade at all. Btw, car's rear view mirrors are great for checking out your make up on day light. They are just brutally honest.

The packaging is what you would expect from high end product. It's a tall glass container with a pump. The cap is quite loose and it comes off way too easily.

Pros
Staying power,
Doesn't fade,
Doesn't cake
doesn't oxidize
Covers well although I recommend using concealer for the worst parts
Leaves nice finish, matte that on my skin turns dewy during the day
Doesn't need powder but if applied won't turn cakey

Cons
Doesn't stay matte all day (although I think the resulting dewy finish looks good. On me at least as my skin isn't that oily)
Loose cap comes off easily
Might set too fast for some people

Pro & Con
Has SPF 15 but will flashback due to Titanium Dioxide

What worked for me might not work for you. But if you feel like you have similar skin type with me then I would wholeheartedly recommend at least to try out a sample of this foundation.

I really like this stuff. I'm a foundation junkie, get sick of them extremely quickly and move onto something else, but this is one of my favourites and I've actually re-purchased- unheard of for me! It has really good coverage, even for dark circles under my eyes, from memory I don't think I even bothered with concealer when I wore it (I use MAC studio sculpt now only because I prefer a dewy finish). The finish on this is like satin, really smooth and lovely, and I looove the way Clarins products smell - really fresh and pleasant to put on. I just wish it came in a dewy finish style and it would be my HG and be granted 5 lippies! But, I have no doubt at some point I will want to change things up again and reach for my trusty Clarins :)

WOW I have FINALLY found a foundation that is long lasting, natural, full coverage, AMAZING!!!

ONLY 1 CON!!!
Any photos taken with a flash my face is as white as white!!! :( So unfortunately this can only be my day foundation and I am now on a hunt for another amazing foundation that doesn't make me look like a ghost in photos that I can wear out! Absolutely devastated about this because otherwise I would be set! Oh and it doesn't matter if you put powder or bronzer on also, you will still come out white :(
