I generally don't love Cover Girl products, but I was pleasantly surprised by this shadow trio.
The colors are all shimmery with a satin like finish. The darkest shade is a coppery taupe brown, the middle shade is a beigey pale pink, and the lightest shade is a snowy pearl white.
For a drugstore product, the pigmentation was very good. It wasn't comparable to MAC or MUFE or anything, but it was bright and true to appearances. I always prime my lids, and so I've found no problem with the staying power. I think they would probably crease without primer, but so do most shadows.
I find these colors wearable, flattering, easy to blend, and well pigmented and would buy again.

This is a beautiful, cool taupe brown trio with a whitish highlight color--very natural and basic look that can be played up for going out or down for work. I love that it can be applied and blended in a hurry with an applicator. I think it works this way because of the very sheer texture of CG shadows. Though I haven't tried applying with one of my shadow brushes, it would probably require layering to get a desirable intensity. Many people dislike sheer shadows due to a lack of pigmentation, but being one of the pale peeps, I can say that many of us prefer shadows that are sheerer and not as pigmented as some. Too much pigmentation on me can look muddy or dirty if applied poorly, or in a hurry. When I'm on the go and need a quick look, it's far better to swipe on shadows like the ones in this coordinated trio than to fuss with more pigmented shadows that require more blending and careful application. If I have to, I can forego eyeliner without eye makeup that looks incomplete or strange. If I want a bit more intensity, I can layer these and add black eyeliner. They are gorgeous and flattering on blue eyes, too.

I wear this shadow when I want a really neutral eye. THe colors are beautiful and have a nice satin finish.
The color payoff isn't that great, but when worn over a primer and a colored base it gives just enough color to add definition to your eyes. I love the darkest color as an all-over lid shade and then i gently pat the middle color in the center of my lids.

I bought this several years ago and LOVE it. The texture is soft and blends easily and the colors are pigmented and are very different from each other. With an added eyeshadow base (I use a MAC Paint Pot), the colors don't crease and last all day long and into the night.
The colors are a beautiful soft taupe collection and you can really work up some nice highlights and shadows with them - and the colors are good for any skin color. Very neutral, shimmery and natural looking for a dewy, romantic, beautiful look.

I was looking for a simple, neutral, and natural eye shadow trio to wear for the day time with a little bit of shimmer. There were many trios at the drugstore that fell into this category, but for some reason I just thought the colors in this one looked gorgeous, and I had to have it!
The eyeshadows are fairly smooth, a little powdery but not chalky or anything, and not super pigmented, but they do show up pretty well over a primer.
This is a totally fool proof trio...I can slap the three shadows on with the little sponge tip applicator provided and still have it look good, or I can use nicer brushes and blend them together well. Either way, its impossible to mess up with this combination.
Sometimes I use a matte darker brown shadow to add a little more definition to the crease, and to tone down the shimmer, on days I want less shimmer. That works great too.
This trio is GREAT for blue eyes! I put this on with brown eyeliner and mascara and my mom said, "Wow, your eyes look amazing today, what did you do different?"
I highly recommend, especially for beginners or someone who doesn't want a lot of fuss. Its easy to put on and make your eyes look fantastic, and takes 2 seconds. :D

I like this product overall, it creates a perfect neutral eye without being too boring. But, I noticed the colors fade slightly by the end of the day, even while using primer.

I found this for $3.50 at my pharmacy about six months ago so I figured I'd give this a shot, and I ended up loving it! I prefer the natural look (since I'm just a student) and this trio adds the perfect amount of color while still being neutral. In essence, this trio taught me how to correctly apply my eyeshadow (dark shade on the outer corner and crease, medium shade on the lid, and the lightest shade as a highlight or in the inner corner.) The picture shown abouve is pretty accurate. The darkest shade, Double Expresso, is a mid-toned brown/taupe pearl. I think that it's the most blendable shadow because it feels so soft and velvety. The medium shade, Mocha Latte, is a soft nude mixed with a champagne pink pearl. The shimmer more toned down and it's a little more dry and chalky than Double Expresso. The lightest shade, Sugar Rush, is a matte ivory color (I'm not sure why everyone is saying it's a shimmer when it even says on the back of the package that it's matte). There really is nothing special to say about it. I find myself wearing these colors on a daily basis because they go with just about every look --plus it's easy to stash in your purse for quick application. Lately I've been applying them with my eyeshadow brushes but I feel like the sponge applicator that it comes with provides a wonderful finish with the most pigmentation. I will buy again, but I don't see myself using this up soon.

i bought this for under $6 canadian.. andi like it..
in pictures tho its misleading because the darkest colour looks like a medium shade.. where its actually very light. these are very NATURAL shades.. i prefer a more dramatic look so i just use the white to put under my lashes and use a darker eyeshadow on my lid. but the lightest shade does the trick. all 3 shades are pretty shades and shimmery. i can understand why its liked because there nice colours, just not my style.

I always return to this eye makeup. I have used Dior, Stila, Clinique, Chanel, Estee Lauder, Nars, Shu Uemura,(to name a few!) but this trio is it for me. I love the colors, the natural coverage, the cost and that it is readily available anywhere. The colors look great with either brown or black liner; I mainly use the two darker shades; the white is a little light for me, but other than that, it is perfect. Love!

My favorite Youtube guru, Kandee Johnson, used this in one of her tutorials, so I decided to give it a try, since I am crazy about nudes and taupes.
As the first reviewer described, this trio has a shimmery ivory color, a mid-tone shimmery taupe, and then a dark shimmery taupe which complement each other well. This sort of gives a no-brainer every day work look, or can be combined with a cat eye or a deeper brown (like CG's Brown Smolder) for an even more defined look.
Kandee also used the lightest color as a highlighter for the cheeks, which shows the versatility of this trio. The colors are all pretty sheer, so don't expect crazy pigmentation, but it doesn't apply chalkily or flake off or anything.
Overall, I would probably repurchase if I ever ran out.

I use this everyday..I looking for a shade that is similar to the middle shade I love how it looks on it's own,I'll use the darkest shade in the crease with a Maybelline's earthly taupe which is a matte and it looks great

This is one of the Eye Enhancers Trio; all shimmer. One ivory shade for highlight, one light grey-taupe for lid and one dark grey-taupe for crease. These are cool-toned shades that blend effortlessly and last all day with a primer without creasing or fading. My eyes are green/gold and this trio of shadows makes them pop. Packaging is cheap plastic with no mirror but for the quality of the product and the inexpensive price I won't complain. Will repurchase. BTW, this reminds me of shimmering sands in a cooled down version (mistake proof and easy blending)

I don't really like the colour combination.
I feel like the brown is much darker than the pink and white colours. And so, it looks like I'm just wearing the brown. Which isn't the point of buying a trio!

Ok, I love this trio. I bought it wanting colors to do a very natural, neutral, every day daytime eye and these are it! They are great quality...on the lid they look smooth and natural, like my lids but a thousand times better. They give plenty of color, but they are lighter than they appear in the pan. The lightest shade I use from lashline to browbone, then put the middle shade over the lid (it is still very light) and then the brown just on the outer, lower 1/3 of my upper lid. The brown is barely a shadow, just enough to give your eye a bit of depth. very light, very natural, very lovely...especially with a light coating of black mascara for fluttery lashes :)
*update* I knocked off a lippy because the lightest shade in the compact has become hard and I have only had it for a few weeks. The only way I can use it is to scrape off the top layer and then try. the other 2 colors did not have this problem....idk why it happened.

My coloring: NW20, FFF, light-med. brown hair, green eyes. I have repurchased (only e/s I have ever used up NUMBEROUS times) this eyeshadow trio many times in the past 12 years. It was my first e/s I ever owned & will continue to be a staple product in my daily makeup bag. The colors are Double Espresso (a shimmery taupe color), Mocha Latte (A creamy shimmery champagne color, and Sugar Rush (a matte whitish color). What I love about this is the shimmer just makes the shadows look GLOWY on my lids. They are a little on the sheer side, but I personally love that about this trio (it is a nice change), but that also means that you can't really overdo them. For a cheaper eyeshadow the quality is pretty nice. I've never owned another Cover Girl eyeshadow product, so I don't know if that is across the board, but I know this trio is nice. I think the packaging is UGLY, but, again, for the price I paid (I think $5.... used to be $2.79 back in the early days) I can't complain. I pair this w/ Stila Lillium and Wet 'N' Wild Acapulco Glow, along w/ MAC VGV l/g. I think my only complaint that I have had with this is the lasting power wasn't great, but now that isn't a problem since I have discovered Urban Decay Primer Potion (now it looks fresh all day long w/ no creasing!!).

I really like this trio. Includes sugar rush, mocha latte & double espresso. These are really pretty neutrals for everyday. The staying power is really good too. I wore this to work, came home & took a nap & it was still on. Will buy again.
