Not "extreme" in any sense -- but also not a bad mascara. If you like a more natural look, it's perfect for adding length and definition. Personally, I like the false eyelash effect in a mascara -- so this one did not deliver. Had it claimed to be a natural looking formula, I would have given it more lippies; however, it's advertised to be on the bold side.

Not awful but not good either. It makes my lashes darker and adds some length and volume, but nothing compared to Maybelline's Colossal Volum Express. The formula's sort of runny as well. It's easy to wash off and is ok for an everyday look, if you want just average-looking lashes. Wouldn't recommend, especially for the price.

I first bought this even though it was expensive for trying without having used a sample first. I loved it the first week because it layered so well and did a lot for thickness mainly. I was very surprised that twice, out of no where, I got a feeling something was in my eye. I look in the mirror and my eye is red and watery and my tears are black! It started in my left eye, so of course my right eye then waters and the product is all inside my eyes. I've never experienced this with any other mascara. I've never had a product get in my eyes so freely. Maybe it's the consistency which makes the lashes so thick. The first time was 20 minutes after applying and the second instance was at the end of my day...hours after applying.

I absolutely recommend MUFE Smokey Lash or Dior Show Backstage

Overall I felt just "meh" about this mascara. Got it in my stocking and have been using it since Christmas occasionally. I noticed a few things right off the bat. First, when removing my eye make up at night, it is like a never-ending process. I don't know if the product is more concentrated, or I am using more than usual but it smears all over my face when I am washing it at night.
Secondly, there is no "wow" factor. It makes my eye-lashes thicker and darker but doesn't effect the length at all.
I wouldn't buy this product again, but will continue to use it for an every-day/professional look.

Went on nicely. No clumping. I was so disappointed to have raccoon eyes after a few hours. Not for me.

I first saw this product when I visited the Bobbi Brown counter at my local House of Fraser. The girl who served me had reaaaaaaaaaaaally long eyelashes, and I asked her what mascara she used. She said the Bobbi Brown Extreme Party Mascara and that it was one of the best she'd ever used. After such a strong recommendation, I decided to buy one to try it out for myself - my eyelashes aren't that long but theres a lot of them, so when I wear mascara they look a lot longer than they are. I was pretty excited to try it out!

I actually think that the mascara is quite good once it's on. I didn't have any clumpy lashes, and to be fair they did look quite long. However, if you're planning on wearing this mascara for longer than 10 minutes, make sure you take a small compact mirror with you!! I didn't check my mascara for a good half an hour after first use, and couldn't believe how much it had smudged under my eyes. It is a £17 mascara - not cheap by any means, and yet I've found that the quality of it is worse than my trusty old Max Factor £8.99 mascara. I couldn't believe it! This mascara should also come with a warning of not to wear when it's windy outside - if your eyes have any moisture in them, or you happen to shed a tear, it will leave a black smudge all the way down your face. Beautiful!

I definately wish I'd done my research before I bought this. On the plus side, this mascara is a dream to remove - one swipe with a make up remover pad and it disappears. Great. :)

If you're going to buy this mascara, I definately would recommend putting it on first, then layering different mascaras on top of it to lock in. Be prepared for smudge marks - however not as many as when you wear alone.

This review is based on a sample GWP, not the full size. While the effect of the mascara applied is average - no particular length or volume to warrant the product name, the smudges it created were truly long-lasting and remarkable. I've seen smudgy mascaras, and this is one of the worst I've ever tried.

This is a really good mascara, IMO. I received a sample size as an extra in a swap. Lucky Me, because this is a great mascara for my lashes. It gives them tons of volume, and just enough length. To be honest, I wouldn't go out and purchase this because I think you can get great mascaras at the drugstore, on sale w/ coupons for much cheaper, that do the exact same job. I was over all very impressed with this mascara, and very suprised by all the low ratings.

I received a free sample of this mascara and while it's an all right mascara, I was not impressed. It's not clumpy which is a plus, but I get more volume and length from my CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara. At $22, I would definitely not recommend purchasing this at full price!

I keep trying different mascaras to find my HG, still haven't found it but this one is really really good. It doesn't clump on me at ALL, the brush is very easy to work with, and the mascara lengthens and volumizes very nicely. If I don't find any I like better, I will probably stick with this one.

I actually prefer this to Bobbi Brown's Everything Mascara. It's a nice, true black, it holds curl relatively well, it doesn't flake or smudge on me, etc. It's not an overly spectacular mascara, but, then again, most mascaras aren't. This mascra covers everything I MUST have in a mascara (like the no flaking) but does nothing really on top of that. However, I must add that after using this mascara every day for a while, I noticed that I had fewer lashes. That's nothing against this mascara so much as a testiment to the effectiveness of Talika (which I had not been using) and the gentleness of 100% Pure's mascara (which is what had been my daily mascara prior to trying this one). So, for that reason, I will not use this regularly and will probably not buy again since there are better options.

This mascara is growing on me. I agree with other users that the mascara does not live up to its "extreme party" name. When I use it on my lashes w/o any mascara base, it weighs my lashes down and doesn't add any volume. But when I layer this over my mascara base, I get some volume and no clumps. The brush is rather large with dense bristles and reminds me a bit of the diorshow brush, so it really separates lashes. When I wear this with a mascara base, it lasts all day with no smudging (unlike diorshow, which smudges on me within a few hours). Overall, I find it to be a good mascara to use during the day/at work when I don't want to look too made up.

I don't have a problem with the product, its the name that bothers me. Its a very nice mascara, good formula, buildable, separates lashes, no clumps BUT its not extreme. Its kinda normal (some volume, some length). For the price, I wouldn't repurchase.

It's not extreme, and definitely doesn't bring the party that it promises. I had BB mascara back in the day and thought that this would be just as good. The brush is too flimsy to give you those good solid coats of mascara that you want for that extra 'emph! It's not terrible and it's not great. I give it an "eeh".

This is not the best mascara and I am not even certain why I thought it would be. None of Bobbi Brown mascaras are good. I fell for the pretty packaging and the hype. I love the metallic color of the tube. I am such a sucker for packaging. The mascara is just okay. It does not live up to it's name. I think that it is a good every day, natural mascara, but it smudges easily. I'll go back to using my Buxom Lash. At least that makes my lashes fuller, something I really hoped this mascara would do as well.

I'm not sure what to make of this mascara, ratings wise. I mean, it's not a bad product, but it's not a great one. Overall, I would say that the BB Extreme Party Mascara is extremely forgettable. Let me preface by saying, I have moderately long lashes that have a natural curl already, so what I look for in a mascara is a formula that creates lots of fullness and if it adds any additional lengthening, well, that's just a nice plus. BB's Extreme Party has a nice full brush, that collects a good amount of product with just one dip, so that was a good sign. The formula is a nice, rich jet black, not to thick and not too runny, a perfect gel-like consistency. However, on application, I just didn't really see any effects. There was a tiny hint of fullness, and no lengthening whatsoever. My lashes looked pretty much just like my natural lashes. I added a second coat, and saw the tiniest additional fullness. On the plus side, there was no flaking, no spider lashes, no tiny clumpy globs of mascara taking up residence on my lashes, and the lashes felt really soft. Maybe I'm the wrong audience for this mascara, but I am decidedly underwhelmed.

This has the perfect amount of water resistance without being impossible to remove at the end of the day. It doesn't smudge easily and stays in place all day. Easy to apply because of the short wand, though you might also be getting less product in the smaller package. I like the fullness of the wand too-- it covers my lashes well, though I wouldn't say that it's "extreme"-- just average. I wish it came in brown, but the only color offered is black. An average mascara for high-end brands.

I personally like the metallic finish of the mascara as it makes this mascara stand out of my collection at a glance.. Especially when the name is call extreme party so its pretty to be slip into my makeup pouch for partying as it fits the theme really well.

The shape of the bristle is just nice in reaching out to lash near eye corners.

I'm not sure if you gals know that the 6M stated above tells you the recommended number of months within which the product should be used after you have first opened and used it, provided the product has been stored under normal conditions and not exposed to extreme temperatures. For example (24M) means that you should replace this product within (24 months) after first opening. The "Period After Opening" number will vary based upon the type of cosmetic product. My lashes with 2 coats of Bobbi Brown Extreme Party Mascara on. Its does bring on some volume to my lashes which i'm pleased with.

When it comes to lengthening, i would say its okay but need time to build up the length.

Overall:
This mascara is not yet into my FAV list even though it volumises & lengthen pretty well.LOVE the after effect, my lashes still feel so soft like before application. It has more gripe in holding up the curl compare to fiberwig, thats my personal opinion. It also needs time like Fiberwig to build up on the length. I'm not able to devote that much time in just putting on mascara but if i have the time. YES it would hit into my FAV list. This mascara is easily remove by just using Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil, you do not have to fear that the fibres getting into your eyes which Fiberwig does to me. The price is still acceptable for the kind of performance it does

I don't get the low reviews! I'm quite picky with my mascaras, and I would rank this as one of my top mascaras. For reference I have short and sparse lashes that need all the help they can get. I agree with other reviewers that "extreme" is probably an exaggeration, as you do need several coats to get a dramatic effect. However, this mascara seems created for that. It is a soft, waxy formulation and very buildable. One coat gives you natural, defined lashes. Two gives some volume, and for full effect, I use 3. It is buildable - does not get clumpy or stiff. Additionally, the tapere brush makes for easy application in the inner and outer corners. I also felt it was long-lasting, didn't smudge, and held my curl. It even kind of created a curl. This retails for $22 and comes in a rather small tube, which is why I took off a lippie. Overall, I would recommend!
