I have quite oily hair and I've tried more than a few dry shampoos (Got2Be, Pssst!, Grafix Salon...) and this is one of the good ones. I admit that I think that they're all about the same, but I really would not recommend Grafix if you have black hair and to stay away from Got2Be (terrible overall, esp. the smell).

I really like the amount of gas in it (weird, I know). Compared to others, I noticed that the burst/application is a lot stronger (if that makes sense). Every time, you know that you're getting good coverage without spraying too much on, something that tends to happen w. other dry shampoos.

A lot of people complain about the scent, but it's not that bad. And it goes away after a short while.

Used this for years now! Hate to be without it. I cannot wash my hair too frequently without drying it out. So I don't and this is my hands down favorite dry shampoo. It works. The best way I've found is to flip my head over, spray all the roots, massage in, let sit and then brush out w/boar bristle brush. I do hate that the cans run around $8 here and that they don't last too long for me. I should probably find an online source that would give me some discount bulk case price or something. I seriously can't stand to leave my hair unwashed when I don't have a can of this on hand.

The final result is hair does look less greasy, smells clean, with more life, and in my case slightly lighter, however this may be due to the light colour that comes from the can. Due to this problem that was recorded Batiste have since released a range of dry shampoos that are tinted to suit different hair colours.

The scent I am left with on my hair I really enjoy, and is certainly nicer than smelling of booze or whatever else my hair had been through. The scent is a clean, chemical with a slight citrussy scent, but mainly chemical. However like furniture polish it is a scent that is not offensive to the nose. My hair does not appear or smell as nice as it would with a normal hair wash, however it is great if you're in a hurry, or can't get to a shower easily, such as at festivals.

Best dry shampoo I have tried so far. I prefer the Original Scent. The Blush scent is a little too floral for me.

Yes it works, but actually, for some reason, not as good as the brunette one - my hair gets less volume and gets oily faster with this. It feels oily again after an hour or two with this, and it feels like I'm left with a lot of residue in my hair. Also: it smells lemony, but not the good type - the stuff I clean the toilet with smells the same. It's a chemical smell that isn't appealing to me at all.
I guess I give this a 3 and not a 2 just because it's better than nothing, and actually somehow works...

I bought Batiste a while ago, and just rediscovered it on my linen closet's shelf. I usually use my Suave dry shampoo with awesome results, but I decided to give this stuff a whirl again.

What a regret! It smelled like an old man, and my hair instantly went clumpy and got a white cast to it. After brushing through (praying it would look better) it just looked greasier. I wound up using my Suave over it.

I know MUAers have some serious love for this stuff, but I don't understand it. I'm sticking with my Suave. It works better and is about $4 cheaper. And doesn't smell like an old dirty man.

Fantastic dry shampoo. Does everything I ever wanted a dry shampoo to do. I spray it from about 12 inches away in short spurts trying to get at the roots, but it into the roots and comb out. Holy s*** my hair actually feels no longer greasy, smooth, clean, slightly fuller and it just looks great! I've tried the Suave one before and it was absolute crap. This actually gets the job done. I will be much lazier about washing my hair now. Oh, I should add that I have almost jet black hair and it doesn't leave any white residue, my hair looks just the same color as it always is.

UPDATE: Taking off a lippie since I find that you cannot exceed one application w/o getting gunky buildup. That means I can only delay washing hair for a day or two max and I would really like to find a product that allows me to go longer in between shampoos. Also, it does irritate my scalp slightly.

This is the first dry shampoo I've used. I've been sceptical in the past (have visions of walking around with obvious powder talc marks in my hair!), but my cousin raved about it so I thought I'd give it a try. I usually wash my hair every other day. On the 2nd day it can be a little greasy at the root. I spray this on and left it for a few minutes then brushed out and if definitely made a difference. My hair was fresher and it took that greasy look away. It's definitely not a substitute for washing your hair, but made that 2nd day look a little fresher. I'll definitely be using this again.

I love this stuff. I'm on my 3rd can of it. Yes,the packaging is boring,so what. Smell,is plain and not great. As for how it works, its great. I use it on days when i don't wash my hair. My hair is fine, thick & colored. It really lengthens the amount of time after i color my hair because i don't have to wash it as much. I just spray my roots with it, that's only where i need it and i'm good to go! Batiste Works Great in my books,I love it! :)

Great dry shampoo. I'd go so far as to say its an HG product of mine. I spend a ton on coloring my hair & this product helps me extend the life of my color jobs by helping me shampoo less. I love the smell of the original & the texture once the product has been correctly applied. Yes, it makes your hair look whitish, but you must follow the directions & brush it out after letting it sit a bit. I dye my hair really dark brown/red & I do not find that I have problems with the white cast. I would like to try the brunette colored one, but it is not available where I live. Would I repurchase? Totally, and I have many times over.

This does a good job at "refreshing" your hair, getting rid of the oil build-up. When you spray it on, it turns into white powder on your hair, so you have to brush it off. It should work on all hair color bec the powdery residue easily comes off anyway. I have dark hair and I have no problem with it. It smells fresh and powdery. Great to have around to liven up limp hair.

This dry shampoo works quite well on my dyed-blonde hair. I can usually run my fingers through my hair to eliminate any residue rather than combing it. My big drawback is that I need a lot to properly absorb the grease on my roots and it runs out quite quickly. I bought at Shoppers Drug Mart for 9.99 (original), but found a bottle at Winners yesterday (Blush scent) for only 6.99.

I love love this product! (I got it in the blush) It is soo good for those days where my roots are oily but the rest of my hair looks great! So I just put this on my scalp area. The only draw back is that this does leave some whiteness in my hair, So I am going to stop using this and go onto the Brunette one that has just come out! Thank god! Can't wait to try it!

Stop reading the reviews and just go buy one!

Most dry shampoos... leave a white residue making hair look grey, dull, and dirty. They don't give volume, leave hair feeling or looking clean. Most leave my hair greasy.

I accidentally sprayed this too close to my scalp. I was sad because there was that white residue most dry shampoos have. I took a comb and combed this out. That white residue is gone. There is no grey/ dullness to my hair, my hair is now clean feeling, clean looking, and has a bit of volume to it. This product is what a dry shampoo should be.

2/29/12 update: I stopped using this a while ago. I lowered my rating because this would leave white residue in my hair no matter what color it was. I have since switched.

PROS: Works so well. I spray at roots only and then tap with my hands to sort of work in. Absorbs excess oil well. As long as I tap my hair where I've sprayed it, it doesn't leave white powdery film like others do in my medium brown root area.

CONS: Smell could be better (original), but it's tolerable. This does run out quick, so I buy at least two cans when I got to Sally's Beauty Supply. Does leave just the lightest film of powder, but when I tap it in, it goes away easily and quickly.

APPLICATION TIPS: I only spray at the roots cause that's where I need it. ;-)

ALTERNATES: Have now found Suave's dry shampoo to be superior to this in having a lot less white residue and the smell is better.

I love dry shampoo almost as much as I love mascara. I have tried many, many types. None can compare to Rene Ferterer. That said at $28 canadian a bottle, I long for a cheaper alternative. I tried Tres Semme's version and was deeply disappointed. I really didn't think I could find a cheap version of dry shampoo that I liked enough. Today, I was hopping at Winners (Canadian version of TJMaxx). I stumbled across a bottle of Batiste dry shampoo in blush for $6.99 a bottle. That is about the same price as tres Semme, so I was willing to give it a go. Worked great almost as good as my treasured Ferterer. I am going back tomorrow to clear them out of their stock. I am a happy girl!

This is my favorite dry shampoo so far, and the second cheapest I've found. I've tried both the original and and Blush scent and they're both pleasant. I don't know if they leave a residue on dark hair because I've only tried it as a blonde or redhead, but it's perfect for anyone who wants to keep their color longer, doesn't want to wash their hair every day, or gets greasy or limp hair mid-day. Also, the packaging is very cute and I hope it never changes.

I came across this product purely by accident, I figured it would come in handy when I went camping, turns out I cant live without it now!
It leaves your hair clean looking, and smelling fresh although im really not too keen on the smell of the original but its not overpowering and fades pretty quickly, it leaves a lot of white residue in your hair, so you have to spend a good amount of time rubbing it out so it wouldn't be good for people with dark hair, the fact im blond means I can disguise it a bit better. All in all I love this! it means I don't have to wash and style my hair all the time and is a god send when im running late. =]

This really didn't work for me! the powder just seemed to stick to my scalp making my hair feel dirty and my hair was still left looking greasy. I would rather spend the extra money on the Klorane Dry Shampoo because that actually works.
