I had planned to give this 4 stars claiming it wasn't as good as my favorite palette, Urban Decay Ammo. Its still not my favorite, but it is good. Its a good "need to do my work make-up in a hurry without too much work or planning". It has all you need for either a brown or a true gray-based smokey eye. I was going to take a lippie off for the colors being to similar, but the texture earned it back its fifth lippie. Its smooth and blends really well. Finally something from NYX that hasn't disappointed me. I'm kind of interested in their other pallets now.

This eyeshadow is very smooth, good quality and pigmented. It is great for creating the smokey eye. Some of the greys have a shimmer to them which I love. While others are a bit more matte. A lot of the colours are similar, though they are subtly different and do create slightly different looks. I love the pearly white, shimmering cool grey, shimmering black, and the creamy base colour.

The colours last all day, I have even fallen asleep to wake up to perfect eyeshadow. The only problem is upon application there can be slight dust like shadow under your eyes, though it can be cleaned up or brushed away easily. I usually have trouble with creasing shadow or colour coming off easily. Though this palette gives me no such trouble. It is my favourite palette, I use it solely. I got it at around $12 on ebay, so it's a great price for its quality.

This is great for a smokey eye but alot of the greys look the same. The good thing is that I won't have to buy anymore greys because this palette has all of them. If you love the smokey eye than this is your palette.

When I went on a NYX haul with my sister, I had prepared myself for a little bit of disappointment because I had heard that I should expect less pigmentation and overall quality from the palettes and trios. But honestly, that moment of disappointment never came to pass.

I was looking for something to round out my collection as I'm starting to gravitate towards more smoky and intense looks and this is the perfect little palette for the job. But don't let the name fool you -- there are plenty of "neutral" looks that can be achieved with this palette and, in fact, it is my go-to for "I don't have time to think about what to wear to work" moments. I always use an E/S primer so I can't really comment on how these perform on a "naked" lid. But on a primed lid, these shadows apply evenly, blend well, and have very good pigmentation. To me, the "standout" colors are the champagne, rose-champagne, satin taupe-gray and satin blue-gray. The shadows do tend to stir up a bit more product than I'd like when I put my brush in, but I always tap my brush on a tissue before it goes near my face as a matter of practice so I haven't experienced any more fallout than I would with any other shadow. There are two finishes to choose from: a satin/frost finish (but I wouldn't call it a shimmer finish) and classic matte.

Yes, there are a couple of "wimpy" colors in this palette and in my opinion those are the blacks. There's a brown-black, a blue-black, and what I would call an "off black" -- in other words, it's not a rich, true, and punchy black. That kind of black is sort of a must in a smokey palette. But aren't there always duds in palettes? Even in my most favorite palettes and quads, there are the well-loved colors that are mostly pan and then there are the unwanted eyeshadow stepchildren. I can't really fault NYX for that. I took a lippie off though because I thought that, despite the duds, there could have been another medium shade or two instead of another black. I think that would make it more useful for people to have a wider range of color intensity, even if it ended up being someone else's dud.

In short, get this for your stash and, while you're at it, get one for your friend, sister, or favorite glam-rocker -- it's priced so reasonably you can afford to! And, it's good enough quality to where you can feel pretty good about it. I'm already considering giving this to a friend who wants to dip her toe into the makeup world.

I absolutely love this product. I use the 2nd lightest shade as a highlight almost every day, even if I'm not using the rest of the palette. Many of the colors are similar, but I find them pretty versatile and very easy to blend. I'm a sucker for NYX, but I would definitely recommend this.

NYX products are great but this is one of my least favorite palette's they offer. Many of the colors in this palette look the same. When I'm going for a smokey look I grab my NYX trio of white, gray and black and smoke it out with those colors.

On the plus side, this palette has great shades of black and gray that can be used for day and night. The pigment quality is great and it lasts a long time.

Honestly I was very surprised with this palette. The shadows are pretty pigmented, smooth and easily buildable. I never experienced any fallout with these, I just wish the colors weren't so similar. They were on sale at ulta for $7.

I was pleasantly surprised by this palate! The eyeshadows are well pigmented for the price. Before, I never spent less than $18 on a single eyeshadow because I assumed it wouldn't work. These really show up on my eyes and I love how many colors you get. This palate should last quite a long time as well. I've learned with the silvers to really go easy though because too much can look a bit blueish on my complexion. I love playing with these colors and I plan on getting the Jazz palate as well now.

I didn't like the pigmentation at all and the fallout was terrible. I found these to be very chalky, and ended up giving it away. The price is good, and it's a convenient palette for the purse, but there are better eyeshadows out there in my opinion.

I just got my first NYX eyeshadows and I'm so happy!! =)
I love this palette. I knew that NYX eyeshadows are pigmented, but I didn't expect that they would be this good quality! I would almost say that some of the colours are even better in quality than my dear Coastal Scents palettes =D
I would not get anything like this quality with only 8 $ (6.16 €) here in Finland.

I bought this at ulta on sale for about $7. The packaging is nice and slim/sleek. The colors to me are pigmented and it a basic palette to carry around. If you're a fan with maybelline natural smokes and charcoal smokes than you would definitely like this better. :D

This is a high quality, super pigmented, versatile and useful palette that every girl should have. I reach for this palette often and has always been delighted every single time with each of the colors in there, although I'm quite puzzled as to why there are so many black colors. Out of the entire palette I love the greys and highlight shades the most, followed by the ever-so-useful black/charcoal colors. The color payoff is high, they always come out vivid no matter how little you pick up on your brush. I did not experience any fallout or crumbly mess with this palette either. This is definitely a worthwhile purchase. I'm just wondering what I should do if I hit pan with one or two of the colors! Without question though, I will repurchase this palette.

A very good palette for dark skins, dark eyes and those who don't want to spend five times the amount to buy three separate products at MAC. The shades allow for a dark brown or black smoky eye, there's a frosty peachy-beige and and off-white which works as a brow highlighter, but the three darkest shades just show up as black on the skin. It's fairly pigmented, though I'd recommend using a primer, since it does tend to flutter down to the cheeks during the course of the day.
Nyx's palette has a good 10 shades, which is great for a mix and match. I just wish they had more nudes and less black lookalikes.

I really like this palette, yeah some of the colors are very similar, but for the price and pigmentation of the shadows im pretty happy with it. It has a light champagne color, a frosty white, a couple shimmery light greys, a couple shimmery dark greys, and about 4 matte black colors. lol i like that you can mix and match and come out with totally diffent looks though. The only thing this is missing is brow bown highlight, but thats not a huge deal.

This is a FANTASTIC palette! You have so much variety and can achieve different types of smokey eyes from natural to dramatic. And with a base, these shadows last all day. I cannot BELIEVE I waited so long to try them. I honestly have no desire to buy MAC or anything else for that matter. I just wish I had NYX near me...I have to drive two hours to get it!

I love NYX cosmetics. I bought this palette for $10 at my local Ulta store, for my mother. Although I am not a fan of smokey eyeshadow - she sure does love this palette. You get so much product for such a low price, & the quality + pigmentation is superb. I think NYX rivals MAC any day. I adore the sleek black packaging. My only complaint, as the reviewer before me has noted, is that this palette sort of lacks versatility. Why so many dark colors? There's one medium brown & one light gold. I would have preferred a few more medium shades...but nonetheless, I would repurchase.

I adore this palette. However, some aspects could be better. They dont need all the blacks, they could just have one true black. I also wish there were a nude non shimmer color I don't like grey and black smokey eyes so a nice nude would be better. The pigmentation is excellent but not as good as nyx singles. This price is amazing. I was flabbergasted. The packaging is really cute and sleek.

I really like this little palette - this has some amazing varieties of smokey colors, along with two lighter colors - a frosty buttery-white, and a frosty true peach color (almost like MAC Naked Lunch but way more peach than pink).

I have found that the quality of the colors in the palettes is maybe not as good as a lot of the NYX e/s singles I have, but nevertheless this is a good palette to have in your kit.

All in all - this is $10 (at ULTA), and is a great thing to have.
