I don't wear very much makeup at all aside from mascara or a brow pencil, so I like to make sure that both of those things "pop"... because I have very fine lashes, and very sparse brows haha.

This mascara definitely gave me that oomph! I didn't have to reapply throughout the day, and it held a curl wonderfully!

It is a little pricey, and it is definitely just my "treat" purchase. The brush is wonderful, the packaging is great, and it definitely enhances my tiny little lashes!

This is pretty much an HG product for me - I am ULTRA selective with mascara (to the point where I'll toss or return a product if it even slightly deviates from my preferences), and this one has it all. I've strayed on and off since I first started using Buxom Lash in high school, but I always come back. I highly recommend using it with an eyelash curler (I use the Shiseido curler) if your lashes stick straight out like mine do - you'll look flawless almost every application.

Pros:
-The brush is just fantastic once you learn how to use it properly. It is admittedly a bit large and unwieldy, but the flexible rubbery "bristles" are well spaced, don't retain excess product, and won't flake off into your lashes/eyes.
-You should only need two coats at the absolute maximum, with one almost always yielding gorgeous results. No need at all to camp out desperately in front of the mirror for 20 minutes shellacking your lashes with umpteen layers of mascara begging the unseen gods for visible lashes.
-MINIMAL TO ZERO USE OF AN EYELASH COMB REQUIRED. This mascara WILL NOT CLUMP unless you take it upon yourself to make it clump with too many unnecessary coats. If you can't make it work after two coats, this mascara probably isn't for you.
-I don't buy the waterproof version, but the regular Buxom Lash will definitely stay on all day under normal conditions without smudging, smearing, or raccoon eye-ing. It can even withstand some light crying in the middle of the work day! Not that I would know!
-Your lashes will feel 100% like your lashes even after two full coats of this stuff. No stiffness or brittleness at all.
-I adore the beautiful, natural-looking length this mascara provides. Basically: your lashes...BUT BETTER.
-Stays fresh and lasts forever - just be sure to keep it shut tightly.
-Comes right off when you're ready to remove it.

Cons:
-Not an ultra volumizing mascara, which is fine with me since I prefer a more natural look. However, if you're looking for something a little more dramatic, you're probably not going to be a big fan.
-You may have some difficulties applying the product until you're used to the brush since it's so large. May not be the best for those with smaller or deeply recessed eyes.
-At $19, it's one of the less expensive HE mascaras, but this is (in my opinion) still a lot of money to pay for one item - thankfully it has a long shelf life as I mentioned above.
-I don't like that the lid doesn't "click" into place so you can be sure the mascara is properly closed. Make sure you're vigilant about screwing the lid all the way back on.

I really enjoy this mascara. It is a lengthening mascara but can be buildable to make lashes look very full.
The wand is very effective in separating individual lashes if you are into that particular look. What won me over about this mascara is that it doesn't make applying mascara a messy affair, particular when you apply to the lower lashes.

Tip: It looks the best when applied after I've curled my lashes already and the mascara will then apply very easily.

I really hate loving expensive mascaras. Love this one though.

I think this might be Bare Escentuals' answer to Benefit's excellent "They're Real." So far, it's better. The brush is awkward at first, but it separates each lash nicely, lengthens, and doesn't apply too much of what is a very wet mascara. One coat is all I need. Have to be careful with this one while it sets lest it ends up on my lids, but it's as close as I've ever gotten to looking like I have thick, natural, soft, dark lashes without using Photoshop. Stays put. Holds a curl, heated or mechanical, all day.

Sephora sample (in a weird tube), but I'm going to have to pony up the $$$ to buy the full size when it's gone. Just too good.

I got this in the Lash Stash from Sephora. At first I was having trouble with it but as time went on it made my lashes look soft and full. No clumps either.

Looks nice, but flakes off after a while. I didn't like the brush- the bristles were too sparse and rubbery.

This mascara came in the sephora sampler box and so far it's my favorite. The packaging is unassuming and I like the simplicity of the wand. No raccoon eyes by the end of my day. Two thumbs up for this gem!

I'm surprised people actually liked this product. I found the mascara formula was too thin. I liked the brush, but it was a bit oddly shaped to the point it would touch my lid. I won't be repurchasing.

I really like this! It just barely beat out tarte's lights camera, flashes for me. I love the brush in this mascara, I find that it really separates and grabs each of my lashes, and I get a lot of length with a look that is still really natural. This formula is super creamy and my lashes are softer when it dries than a lot of other formulas I've tried.

EDIT: After a day of wear, I found that this mascara might be a little TOO natural/subtle for my taste, but still a really nice product overall.

This stuff is the bomb!!!!

I have extremely thin and limp lashes ( like the rest of my hair) and they like to stick together and look like I have maybe 3 lashes per eye with most mascara. Luckily they are long, but they do not hold a curl nor separate very well.
I've come to terms that my ideal mascara had to have a somewhat small plastic wand. I also use shiseido mascara base before anything as it's impossible for my lashes to keep a curl without it.
All that aside, this mascara is truly amazing. It defines extremely well, does not clump or weigh down or stick my (pre treated) lashes together as most volumizing/ defining mascaras do. It gives a very full fanned out look that isn't spidery. It is very buildable for more volume and length.
I bought one of those sephora mascara sample packs and this makes me not care to try any others. Hats off to bare escentuals with this one.
Only one con, it is available at sephora only so if you don't live near one, that sucks very much and you'd have to revert to online shopping. But this is worth a try for anyone with thin, limp lashes. Do yourself a favor ladies and gents! This even trumps my previous love They're Real by Benefit, which is excellent but can be spidery and hard to remove and $24 out of your pocket every two months (runs out super fast)
$19 for Buxom isn't bad at all for a high end mascara and I do not mind paying for these lashes the rest of my life!!
