I wouldn't buy this again because I don't make enough money. Otherwise it is a nice product, it just doesn't do anything spectacular. My foundation stays on a little longer, the shimmer is pretty, and it does control oil a tad. It's nice because it's very light and it has a cooling gel feel. But you can live without it, or find another primer that does the same thing for half the price. A good product, just overpriced.

This primer did not feel good on my face. Maybe it contains too much artificial ingredients for my sensitive skin. Also the end result was not what I expected from this expensive product. In my opinion it emhasized pores.

Any of us on here are crazy to pay a little over $70 bucks for a primer, till this day I can't believe I spend that much, but I did because I loved the bottle and it's Guerlain so I knew it was a top notch quality product.
First of all I love foundations with a luminous finish I have been using EL's Lucidity foundation for over 8yrs and I love it, recently I purchased Lancome's Teint Miracle and also Im in love with it, gives me beautiful glowing skin. ( I hate a matte look)
For reference I only own 1 other product from Guerlain which is the Meteorites Pearls the powder the multi colored balls which I dont care for because they are too shimmery, I like a glowy look but not a disco ball look. This primer under my Lucidity foundation or Miracle is a match made in heaven, it gives me a subtle glow without looking frosty or shiny in a bad way, I noticed it takes a bit longer to dry but thats ok, I dont really think this helps your makeup stay put longer at all, it just gives your skin a bright glowing look and makes your foundation look a bit more radiant, with the new Lancome Teint Miracle foundation, it's not necessary since its such an amazing foundation, it may just have beat my long time HG Lucidity. I do love Guerlain's Meteorites but it's not really a primer, it's more of a skin perfecting luminous serum, that makes your foundation look amazing. I love it but not enough to spend another $70 bucks for a product that does what this does. It's excellent but Im sure I can find something for half the price that comes close. For reference I live 12 miles from The City and living around here you must look at your best at all times and must spend a pretty penny to keep up with the life style, but really this is such an expensive splurge that is just not worth it, you can buy 2 primers at this price at just as good quality if you know what you're looking for, but this is an excellent product that gives you a glamorous look.

I honestly can see little to no diffrence in the staying power of makeup or its application after using this primer. I do think that it does help control shine, and my pores looks a little less noticable with the use of this primer. It has the same lovely scent as the Guerlain Meteorites powders, which i love. I like the luxurious feel of using this product, but I just don't think that it does much to justify spending this much $$$ on a primer. I have used much better.

Gave my tired dull skin a much needed glow, works best with a light coverage foundation or powder make up.

This primer is very similar to the Fyrinnae Velvet-Gel Silica Primer (texture AND usage wise). This is a water, silica base primer. It does control oils a bit, however, my nose is super oily, and the oil break through after 6 hours. The same thing happens when I'm using the Fyrinnae primer. It is silicone-free. On the plus side, the pearls cames out "semi-blended" with the gel. It gives a luminous effect. Very similar to the Guerlain Meteorites powder (balls), but more subtle. Under the foundation, you can hardly see any shimmers/sparkle. It just makes your complexion looks radiant and the foundation less "flat."

Update: I've recently went down from using full coverage foundation, to TM (due to my skin clearing out from using clarisonic). Let me tell you how amazing this primer looks under TM. You can see the radiant subtle shimmers, and you still get the polished look from for a smooth complexion. It's AMAZING. It literally does everything that you expect to get from foundation: mildy blur out fine lines , mildly fill in / smooth out pores, definitely gives radiant, etc etc. All you really gonna need is something like a TM or light coverage foundation, to just even out the skin tone. Then, spot conceal if necessary.

I love this primer! It helps my make up stay longer and after I apply it, my skin feels sooooo smooth! I've tried both Guerlain's primers and UD's pore perfecting primer so I don't have much experience.
However, compared to UD's primer, this is 100 times better! It's also much better the other Guerlain's primer.
I think it makes a huge difference when I apply my foundation! I have an oily T-zone and dry skin around my mouth and cheecks, so I need something to help me with both my problems and this primer does! I just wish I had access to a Guerlain counter!

This is the best primer I've ever tried. I have combo skin so I always worry if something's too oily or makes my skin look/feel oily. No worries with this product! It really gives my skin a natural dewy look and I love the way it feels on my skin. Wish it wasn't that expensive : / but a little goes a very very long way. Makes the makeup that I use really last throughout the day. I get sooo many compliments about how great my skin looks everytime I wear this. Love Meteorites :)!

I really do not understand al these glowing reviews! Like some reviewers are saying: no staying power... Can you say that a primer is GOOD in that case? I wonder. I have other negative points: the radiance aspect is not evenly, (sorry for some reviewers) but this is not radiance from within at all. It doesn't make your foundation stand on longer also. Benefits: it smells nice but beside that? An expensive, pretty useless product! Eventually I gave it away and bought Kanbo primer... 1000x better. Really!

Let me start off by saying this is MY must-have product. This is essential to my everyday routine because … well I’m going to go off on a ramble so here’s your warning: My friend had this friend with just beauuutiful skin, I mean she had this inner glow and we would just be in awe by how phenomenal her skin was. It was flawless, didn’t look like she wore makeup and she seriously had that glow from within where you couldn’t pin point it but there was something there…not that I didn’t believe she couldn’t glow. When I say glow, I don’t mean disco ball, but I mean an ethereal glow. Her secret: GUERLAIN products. Thank goodness she introduced me because I am hooked on guerlain products! They give you the “I’m wearing makeup but you can’t tell I’m weating makeup makeup”. I don’t care for the price, if a product is good I’m not going to bump stars off because of it. (Back to product review) I don’t use this as a primer as I don’t wear foundation so I’m not sure of the long-lasting effect for foundation but I use this more of a serum. It’s like a pick-me-upper. My face is instantly brightened, I look fresh and well-rested and I’m glowing! It gives that “inner glow” I was talking about, subtle so don’t expect a drastic noticeable difference but try going without it and see the difference. My face is dull & bland with out it. Now I also don’t call it a primer because it’s got a different texture to it, it feels more of a serum because it has that “cooling” jelly-like texture to it. It has the pink pearl balls inside and when you pump the pearls turn into a serum but the packaging itself is beautiful if you’re a packaging junkie like me. It looks elegant and it’s glass in case people are wondering. I feel Guerlain products are amazing, pricey yes but if you don’t mind the price tag then I say give it a go. On my lazy days, I just wear this and normal days I use this with my guerlain meteorites powder for the face (old version in the cardboard marie antionette packaging) in 01 mythic.

I don't understand all the "iffy" reviews because I simply adore this product. I didn't think I would but someone swapped me a full bottle and I use it EVERY time I put on makeup. I have somewhat oily skin but this never feels oily or makes my skin oily. It does NOT have a lot of concealer like many primers so I still use a primer for the skin perfecting look but this product makes everything glide on effortlessly and makes my skin feel so healthy. Even though I swapped for it this time I will definately "buy" it when I run out because this will be a staple of mine from now on.

Let's start that you should not expect too much from this primer.
- It works good but not amazing.
- Packing is so good-looking and the smell is lovely.
- It makes your face look lighter.
I dont know if I will buy it again because I would try other kinds first.

This primer is a waste of money (it cost me 65 Euros in Germany)!!!
I don’t wear a lot of makeup- foundation everyday is a big no no for my super sensitive skin. So, why did I buy this? Well, I was an idiot- wanting the most beautiful Guerlain product out there.
It’s nice to have this- it makes you feel luxurious having it around. Other than making you feel like a movie star- it’s worthless. Also-if the pretty glass bottle falls- it breaks (so it’s only pretty- not practical).
The makeup result: when I tried this over moisturized skin, it felt nice but looked like I dipped my face into a bucket of sparkle dust (is the sunlight). It made me look horribly shiny (or sparkly). In addition, the glitter particles made my pores look HUGE, and I don’t normally have pore problems.
So, I decided to use it under foundation only.
A few days later- I tried it under foundation. Guess what? There was absolutely no sparkle- but there was also no “light diffusing radiance”. It might have made the foundation last a little longer (but it was a night time look, so I couldn’t say for sure). It did help with smoothness- very easy to apply any makeup over it.
The conclusion: it makes you look shiny with huge pores on its own. Under make up it gives no noticeable results. So, it doesn’t compare to other primers out there. And, it’s unbelievably expensive (it is Guerlain after all…).
Will never buy again! If you want something pretty to put in your make up area, get flowers or something :)

This is one of those products, which I always go out to buy, but in the end I purchase something else instead for no particular reason... finally I got it a week ago. The packaging and the formula have been described, so I will focus on the results -at least on me: glowing, radiant, soft, even skin, like never before... My foundation and makeup lasted all day long. I used YSL Teint Resist over it (if you read my review, you will see that this foundation has not impressed me...) and the blending and the appearance of the foundation itself were so much better! It also had amazing oil control, which was something I didn't expect from this primer. The application is the ultimate pleasure for me; the smell is not so intense as in other Guerlain products (it is roses rather than violets) and it dries immediately, within 5 seconds. I use maybe half to one pump to achieve the results. It is expensive, but when I find something "perfect" (which happens rarely), I always repurchase it.

I am so completely hooked on this product!

At my first full-faced plunge into the Guerlain product-line, my MA mixed one pump of this primer in with the Parure Aqua Radiant Foundation. He then applied the mixture with a foundation brush. I'm usually wary of scented products on my face, but I really enjoy this rose-water scent. Even though he gave me full coverage, it all felt light and lovely and felt like I was wearing no foundation at all.

The heavy glass packaging is gorgeous and feels lovely in the hand. Since I purchased it, I've been using just the primer every day. I put it on after my moisturizer and don't mind the drying time. Unlike other primers that rely on dimethicone (I'm talking to you, Smashbox PhotoFinish and L'oreal Skin Genesis), I find that my skin laps this stuff up and I get no weird pilling effect when I touch my face later in the day.

Since I've started using this product, EVERYONE is commenting on how great my skin looks. I enjoy using highlighters, but I find they can sometimes magnify my pores. This gives me a more natural dewy finish instead of a face full of shiny. I do have good skin to begin with, but this really diffuses my fine lines and wrinkles and makes my almost 40 year old skin look like my late 20s again!

This is a champagne bubble of a beauty product. Can you live without it? Absolutely. But why would you want to?

Used under foundation or tinted moisturizer, it gives your skin a little extra glow. It's like a non-greasy version of what I wanted MAC's Strobe Cream to be. The silicone helps keep your makeup looking fresh and smooth for hours, so it does what it claims to do. (Of course, if you have skin that's sensitive to silicone or a nose that hates Guerlain's ubiquitous candied violet scent, you should avoid.)

But really, the reason I paid $65 for this is because the packaging concept is literally the best I've ever seen. This is not a bottle to stash in your train case -- you display this on the bathroom counter with pride.

$65 for 1 oz in a heavy glass bottle at Sephora.com (which means it's F&F eligible!).

Ladies & Gents, this product is good if you are looking for curious spot/bump-like monsters to appear on your face..I never had this problem before using this product, not even when I was a teenager. Maybe this is a product that is anti-aging in a deranged way!! :)

First of all, I agree with the other reviewers. The packaging is lovely and clever. It's also insanely expensive. It took me a while to figure out how to use this product to its best advantage. I apply one pump, about the size of a pearl, to my face, and wave a hand fan to speed drying; otherwise it takes upwards of five minutes to lose its tackiness. Then I mix a small amount with my Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer (Smashbox) and apply it with a foundation brush. The addition of the Meteorites primer to the TM makes it go on smoother and more of the "glow" of the primer shows. It doesn't do a thing to camouflage the large pores I have beside my nose; if anything, the glow makes them look larger. I'm not sure how I feel about this primer yet. For the price, I expect near perfection, and this doesn't deliver. Givenchy's Mr. Mat does a far better job, for half the price.

Edited to say: I got a good look at my pores in the full light of day and have never seen them look more awful. This product went back to Sephora in exchange for Nars Brightening Serum. I wanted to love it but it just didn't work for me.

I purchased this product around 4 months ago and spent around 40 pounds (UK). I had read several bad reviews about it, but foolishly bought it anyway. I wish it did what it was supposed to because the way it looks is amaaaazing! And looking back, i guess i was more drawn to the packaging than the actual product itself. I should mention it comes in a heavy glass bottle and the pinky pearls inside look divine.

However, at that price the product should deliver. I'm not blessed with the best skin, so i use it prior to foundation and concealer. It's cleverly designed in that with each pump- one pearl is crushed and you smooth the liquid onto your face. I only use one pump and find it dries reasonably quickly. It does leave a slight shimmer- but this can only really be seen in natural daylight. It didn't help my make up to last all day and it certainly didn't control shine. The only positive I can really state is that, it does feel light and fresh on my skin. Other primers i've used in the past have sometimes felt heavy. But you can't even tell your wearing this. If you had normal skin and preferably clear skin- i can see why this product would be right for you, however oilies and combinations would be better off spending their money else where. Overall a disappointment.

This is the most beautiful primer I've ever seen. The bottle is just gorgeous.
As to how it feels? Baby soft skin without feeling as if it's been smothered, as some other primers can leave your skin feeling. Gorgeous scent. It took me by surprise at first, I'm used to either lightly scented or fragrance free primers.
The glow it gives is incredible. It doesn't give the glitter-bomb effect or leave you looking like the love-child of Star Trek's Data. Unlike other products of a similar nature, it didn't leave me with a weird cast to my skin. MAC's Strobe Cream leaves me with an odd pink tinge, something that Meteorites just doesn't do. There's just beautiful, glowy, healthy-looking skin.
Heavy duty foundations probably won't enable the glow to shine through fully. It made MAC's Studio Sculpt foundation, applied for a medium coverage, look truly beautiful, though. Usually it looks a little too powdery after I've used my loose powder (a must because I have an oily t-zone). Not so with this underneath.
As to how it affected wear-time, I can't say for sure since I wore the foundation for a shorter time than normal. It did seem to be holding up well though.
The price is shocking for a primer but the old adage is true; you get what you pay for. Considering what it did for my skin & the fact I needed to use so little, it's a price worth paying in my mind.
