Modesty is the perfect mlbb for me - I am very fair and yellow toned, with pigmented lips. It is an opaque very muted mauve-pink on my lips (it looks much more brown in the tube), does not contain any glitter, or pearl. It has a slightly shiny finish, but as it fades it becomes more satin-like. It glides on easily, however after about an hour it starts to be a bit waxy (the reason it gets 4 out of 5). It's not moisturising, but it wears for about 5 hours (without eating), fades evenly and does not settle in lip lines or bleed.

This is one of my new favorite lipsticks. I'll be the first to admit I fall into a lipstick rut, and just wear one shade every day which was Twig (a brownish pink that appears more rose against my fair skin) until I found this! Modesty is a muted or dusted neutral pink that does not lean too warm or cool on the color scale. It really flatters my NW15 skin and one of the only pinks I don't find unflattering on myself. I even prefer this over the oh so popular Creme Cup!
The Cremesheen texture is lovely in my opinion and does not feel drying. This color is quite similar to my own natural lip pigmentation but someone just brings my face together and looks more sophisticated. I like to use MAC lip liner in Dervish (a pink-mauve) with this. I would repurchase and recommend - no complaints on this one!

This is a light neutral pink. I would consider it more of a natural looking pink than a nude pink. It is a very wearable color. I don't need lipgloss with this lipstick. I have nc25-nc30 medium skin with olive undertones. This color looks good when you want to do a natural eye and feel like adding a slight pink to your lip to keep the makeup natural.

I recently got this in a swap & LOVE it! It is a perfect nude everyday color for me. NC20 for reference. I use my MUFE 2C l/l with the lipstick & put sephora rusted rose l/g on top & it is so pretty! It is very moisturizing as well. I will definately repurchase this one!

This is my daily go-to color, it's a perfect nude, it's creamy and pigmented. Hands down my favorite MAC lipstick ever.

Didn't like this colour too much at first, it looked a bit gray. After a couple of wears it grew on me and now its one of my MLBB colours. Won't repurchase only because I have too many lipsticks in my stash already!

I hated this color at the beginning because I was used to wear brighter colors, but after three applications, I fell in love! It`s a really good alternative for girls like me who do not like nude colors that look like concealer on your lips. It`s a pretty pinkish nude that I will repurchase for sure.

Modesty is probably one of my favorite lipstick colors of all time. It's effortless ~ it goes with everything ~ it's comfortable to wear ~ It's universal. Modesty is a shade that makes you look pulled together and it is great for those that aren't comfortable with nude lipsticks. Modesty isn't a true nude, it's a neutral toned muted pink. I love the cremesheen formula however it's not very long lasting. Modesty is understated yet makes you look pretty at the same time.

Great lipstick! If you want a nice pinky tone, use Chanel lipliner in tulip with it!

My everyday lipstick right here. Modesty is the absolute perfect nude color for me. Especially during the fall and winter time. It is a nude lipstick but it isn't too nude. Absolutely adore this color. I wouldn't recommend it for darker skin tones because it can look a bit odd and slightly chalky. But for pale skin girls like me, this color is absolutely fabulous. Especially with a darker eye.

This is my HG lipstick for my NC-15 skin. I have dark hair and blue eyes, and this lipstick is my perfect color for a nice, pretty, put-together look.

I was looking for a nude lipstick and my MAC consultant recommended Modesty. It's a classy muted neutral pink and looks great with my NW 15-25 complexion.

I absolutely adore this color. I went to MAC to pick up Patissere, but of course they were out (just like they always are when I really want something!) I was going to get Jubilee, but my MA friend who was with me convinced me that it would be too dark on my already pigmented lips. This color is a muted rose color on me. I love that it tones down my natural lip color, without being too opaque. Awesome easy, everyday lip. It also works well with bronzes and purples, which are my go to eye colors. I'm NC 30 for reference.

Went into the MAC pro store today to pick up a new every day lipstick, and found this amazing stuff!!! So happy I swatched it and fell in love! It's perfect for everyday looks, I'm very picky when it comes to lipsticks just because I don't want to attract too much attention at work/school, I like to have something neutral but also pretty. This stuff is definitely an HG for me. It reminds me so much of MAC l/g in "lust" ahh I might have to go pick up another one soon!!! :-D

This is the PERFECT color for me! I'm NC25 and I like pink lips that are also on the nude side, but not too light. Just pink enough so that I don't look washed out or tired.
This lipstick is the best everyday shade I've found so far. It goes on smoothly.
The only think I wish was better is the lasting power..

This has become my every day lipstick and I bought two to have one in my handbag and one in my dresser drawer. It has the perfect ratio of pink to beige, the second barely showing up, just to tone down the pink enough to become work appropriate, yet still have enough pink to brighten up my NC20 warm complection.
I found that usually I don't even need a lip liner or a mirror to apply this if I'm in a hurry, yet it still looks good! However, I did find a nice lip liner to go with it; by Two Faced Perfect Lips Universal Liner.
The liner that the SA recommended for me at Mac was Soar, which is the same color as the lipstick but much stronger in shade, so if you have darker complection than mine, it would probably also look nice with Modesty. I'm on the fence of purchasing Soar because if I shade my lips with it (not just the outline), it makes Modesty look stronger (that's too much for me for every day), but it would make a nice evening look, but then again, I would probably just buy another nice lipstick for a night out.

Modesty is my first MAC Lipstick. I've been on a search for a pinky nude that would compliment my dark hair, green eyes, and fair skin. While this is a bit more mauve than pink (MAC describes it as a "muted, neutral pink"), I really love this lipstick. The cremesheen formula is absolutely lovely and the texture reminds me somewhat of Clinique's Buttershines (though without the high gloss finish). I'm still looking for something with a little more pink, but I will certainly be keeping this one as it looks great, especially when paired with a smoky eye.

I honestly felt compelled to write a review for Modesty. This is my perfect MLBB everyday lipstick. I have tried many, many nude lippies and they are either too pink or too brown. For reference, I am NC15 with red hair and blue eyes. I wear this with pretty much any type of eye makeup. It looks great with a light, natural eye or with a dark, smokey eye. It has great staying power and I don't find it drying at all. I will definitely repurchase

My go to lipstick, a must for the NC45. I pair modesty with whirl lipliner, datenight gloss, and I just love how it gives a wonderful soft pink/mauvey lip. I love the fact that it's a cremesheen. This lipstick looks awesome with a bold eye or soft look. I believe I have replaced Jubliee and Hugme., not that I want to,but if I had to pick over and over I will always choose Modesty.there's only one nude in my collection that modesty can not hold a candelstick to and that's Crusing by Nars. I just get too many compliments with Crusing and at $22.00 I better...
