My dry sensitive skin makes very difficult to find a foundation that would look natural and at the same time even out my skin tone and texture. Usually it will build up on patches and my skin would flake and believe me, cakey it's not a pretty sight.
I always like to try products searching for the right one (still I am) but so far the best one and easier to blend is Laura Mercier TM. I wear in Nude, it will do the job, is kind of sheer to medium coverage, buildable, but that is what I like.
PROS .- Easy to blend, long lasting, radiant polished finish, hydrating, nice texture, light feeling
CONS.- No many color selection
TIP.- I use a primer before applying it with a foundation brush. Then I blend it with slight round movements with a beauty blender sponge and it will look really polished radiant natural skin.
If you have dry skin, never apply foundation with stipple or blush brush, they will make your skin flake; apply with a wet sponge for sheer coverage or foundation brush for medium + coverage,

Laura Mercier does lovely things with many products. I fell in love with this in the store because the shimmer balance seemed subtle and the color was beautiful. For those with small pores and fairly even skin tone I can see it being a great purchase. Unfortunately for me my pores are not so blessed and there's something about the composition of it that clings to any dryness and accentuates the look of flaking. If worn on its' own it makes me look oily but if worn underneath a foundation with a bit more coverage it shimmers through and gives a dewy glow. Don't buy this if you have combination skin and are looking for a stand alone moisturizer with coverage. Do buy as a product that enhances another.

I'd suggest buying the travel sized version and using it in combination with your daily foundation. The full sized tube is A LOT of product.

I got this product for free as one of those rewards when I was in America.
The packaging is pretty plain but it doesnt really matter what it looks like.
It glides on really smoothly, and gives that face a natural glow. However, as I
have combination/oily skin within a few hours, my face begin to look really oil and
feel sticky. The lasting power of it is also not that great, lasting about 5 hours.
Overall, if you have normal/dry skin it would be great, but if you have oily skin, stay away.

I took ages to finally buy this really expensive product for fear the colour would be wrong and it would end up in the dumping ground or the unwanted makeup drawer! Finally I took the plunge, thankfully ignoring the sales assistant's advice to get the darker shade, and purchased Bare Radiance. It is a little dark so you have to limit yourself, if you want any coverage I think you should just go for foundation as the more you try to build it up is goes a bit orangey. The pros: it is so natural looking that you could fake it as being your own skin albeit with a bit of shimmer, it is really moisturising on dry skin, handy for the summer/weekends when you're too lazy to apply foundation. The cons: way to expensive, I think a smaller, cheaper version would be great as the tube is massive and will last for ages - given that you can only add a relatively small amount too (for pale skin). I hope to get my skin in better condition, as I also have to add concealer and powder on the nose at the moment, so I can wear less make up as I am sick of the cake face look...

I wanted to get a tm that would give me that 'lit from within' glow, and this is my hg as far as that goes! Im in love...

Edit: I have owned and worn this for at least a week and am very pleased that it does not break me out. I will say that this TM makes me look really shiny thoughout the say, so I mix it with one of my other TM's (I have like 5 lmao) so that it cuts down on the shimmer and shinyness. I really like this..just wish that it was cheaper.

Like most of us, I've tried all kinds of foundations looking to make my skin "dewy" and "glowy", etc. This tinted moisturizer does the trick! I use it over the Laura Mercier illuminating primer (not sure of hte name at the moment) and the combination is wonderful. Many compliments. I finally found something that makes my almost-60-year-old skin look youngish. (I inherited great skin genes, lucky me, but still, at 58, one needs lots of help!) After using this, I'd never buy anything else.

I really really really like this tinted moisturizer. I have combination skin and I rarely get blemishes, but I usually wear something to even out my skin tone and make me look a little bit more polished. I like a really natural look and I'm not too concerned about coverage. I love this because it really evens me out and gives me such a glow. I have pretty pale skin and this just makes me look healthy. Even though my t-zone can get oily I don't even need to use powder with this because I don't find that it leaves me looking greasy, just a little bit glowy. It is perfect for a "no makeup" look especially on the weekends with just a little mascara. Definitely recommend!

This product was very disappointing! Within a few days of using it I started breaking out which is unusual for me. And it cost me around $70 so it was a huge rip off and let down for the price!

I have this in natural and the warm.both are too dark for me in winter, especially the warm. However, when I need a glow or need to warm up my foundation a bit, these are fine. However, I notice I used up the bisque non glow finish product, which means it goes better with my skin. I guess shimmer is not something I reach for every day, but I like to have these on hand.

Age: 30-35   Skin: Oily, Medium, Cool   Hair: Red, Straight, Fine   Eyes: Hazel

In the summer, I wear some pretty heavy-duty matte foundations (ie pro longwear, double wear, etc.)... but in winter my skin changes so completely that even a moisturizing natural foundation causes eczema flaking and breakouts. I started toying around with TMs and i found this one laying around from last year. WOW!!! it is light coverage, but buildable, pretty good for a TM, since i dont sweat in the winter that is fine, it doesn't make breakouts or eczema (double wow). The illuminating quality is beautiful. If your skin is totally oily i would probably stay away from this product, but it is now a winter staple for my dull skin. i finished my tube of the lightest color, but am on to the medium one with pink undertones ... i am very red-skinned so i needed something that matched my face and body better which is always flushed. Used sponge, brush and fingers; fingers (cleeeaan) work best! easy. when i'm done applying this the only other thing i do to my face is a light dusting of bare minerals medium (pink undertones) on the t-zone. i also sometimes use LM's finishing powder but i like the BMinerals better because it also has some magical luminzing properties. this stuff blurs rinkles and fine lines, pores, evens out redness, looks great under even 30+ eyes... I do find the staying power is greatly improved with a primer. i have used MUFE's HD in green to neutralize redness and it looks great. The illuminating TM stays on several hours but i find i can get a few more hours with it when i use the primer. just ordered from sephora and am getting a sample of mercier's new "radiance" primer and am so excited to use with my TM!!! hope this helps... i love this stuff!!!

Update: am digging this for warm weather too! Use murad oil mattifier lotion, korres oil control pomegranite primer, then this in warm radiance either mixed with MAC prolongwear OR under MAC powder + foundation (nw30). With my Nars laguna bronzer and orgasm blush or multiple, I look like a golden goddess haha. PRETTY!!!

i HATE this product... I normally don't have problems with foundation (or any products for face) but this product breaks me out terribly. I first thought it wasn't the tinted moisturizer but when I tried it again a month later, I broke out again. I also think that it doens't cover at all, maybe it's just the colour that is too light for me. I won't buy this again, while it's so damn expensive!

I really like this tinted moisturizer. I can understand where some people might be coming from that it is too shimmery, but my skin is terribly dry and dull, so for me, the illuminating properties are very much needed. I use the LM invisible finishing powder on top, and that takes away some of the extra "dazzle" that comes with this product. As far as coverage, I think it is just the right amount for a tinted moisturizer, though I do have to use concealer with it to cover up red spots where I have eczema. I can't seem to find a tinted moisturizer that I really like for my dry, itchy, eczema afflicted skin. I use LM for much of my other make up products so I am hoping this one will be a keeper.

I love this tinted moisturizer. I don't wear this by itself but I do love mixing it with other foundations when I want some SPF. I mix it with my Laura Mercier silk creme when I want only a little bit of coverage, it gives me an amazing glow to my skin. It makes my skin look 'glowy' and luminous without looking like I;m out to a disco. It just makes you look healthy and the SPF20 is just an added bonus, another Laura mercier product I love and that doesn't break me out :) Love this

As my 100 point perk from Sephora, i chose to recieve this product. the packaging was nice, and i recognized the tube from a mile away. Having a complete blonde moment while choosing this, i forgot what the term "illuminating" meant. ga-reat! when i tried this on i looked orange and sparkly. quite like snooki. the "glow" was overwhelming and I believe its a "one shade fits all" product...and im very fair. so those type of products are complete red flags for me. between shimmery eyeshadow, blush, and highlighter...i looked like a disco ball after applying all of my makeup, (which isnt much on an everyday basis.) needless to say, i should've saved my points for something bigger and better in the future!

My favorite tinted moisturiser and ideal for people who want to add a glow to their skin. Its not oily but workds wonders in normal/dry skin types and its best avoided in oily skins. Doesn't cake and lasts all day without causing a heavy feeling on the skin and its barely noticeable.

I kept seeing this rated as #1 in several different magazines, so finally tried it. I was used to Bare Minerals previous to that, otherwise I don't wear much make-up and liquid foundation scares me (I have pretty smooth skin, and I don't like that "caked on" look.) I ordered online so accidentally got the illuminating one and also a color a little darker than what I needed (clearly I hadn't done my homework!). Anyway, upon wearing it to work, I got several compliments about how amazing my skin looks, how I looked great and like I had just returned from vacation, etc. It's probably a little too shiny for work, but I'll keep wearing it for nights out. I'm not as impressed by the regular Laura Mercier TM but it's still better than the others I've tried since then (Smashbox, Lancome, and Stila.)

I'm afraid I hated this. I used it twice and then gave up on it. I used it like any normal tinted moisturiser and it made my face look oily, sweating and generally grubby. Not a good look! Needless to say, I wouldn't buy again.

Expensive, but it doesn't make me break out until Bare Escentuals. I love the dewy look -- it's not too much, even in the summer.

I have a little acne and some scarring but pairing this with Benefit concealer is perfect for every-day use. The girl at the counter suggested putting concealer on after the LM, but I do it either way and it's worked out so far.

---- UPDATE ----

I think this began to contribute to some of my acne. After researching it, the oil-free version may have been a better choice. It's not the worst thing but not the most sensitive for my skin. Now I use Dr. Jart's BB cream and there is no going back!

I am very light skinned, but not deathly pale and I struggle to find a product that will make me look 'healthy' but not tangoed. I use fake tanners now and again but they break me out and streak badly. Rather than continuing this I decided to buy this product. I bought this product in "Warm Radiance" which is not advised for my light skin tone. I am very glad I did. It provides me with a very warm complexion without looking makeup-y. I would not advise applying it to the whole face, only the parts of the face that is hit by light. Avoid the area above the lip, unless you want to look like you have just done a sweaty jog around the park. I apply it to my cheeks, focussing on the cheekbones, front of my nose and apply a very sparing amount on the chin and forehead ( it can cause same problem with looking sweaty in those areas). This moisturiser is very versatile, but if applying over regular foundation I would "press" it into the face as it tends to move your makeup and reveal spots you may have covered up. Some people recommend setting the moisturiser with finishing powder to remove the greasy look. In my opinion this completely ruins the purpose of the moisturiser to 'illuminate' the face. Instead just apply less LM moisturiser and don't clog up your pores with extra powder!

Although not cheap, you use a lot less due to this moisturiser having slightly thicker coverage than most tinted moisturisers. This 50ml tube should last a fairly long time. A definate convert, although this product looks better in artificial light as opposed to natural sunlight. Will buy again!
