I have tried this in several of the scents. They all work very, very well to control sweat. As opposed to other antiperspirants (Secret: I am looking at you!), the Dove Clinical Protection washes off without leaving a heavy, ongoing scent or "masking" fragrance. My absolute favorite of this is the Grapefruit and Lemongrass scent. Totally refreshing and doesn't smell gross at the end of the day.

This deodorant is okay. It smells nice, but it doesn't really mask the odor very well. I suffer from excess sweating and this doesn't cut it. It works great for about an hour but afterwards- good luck. I need to reapply throughout the. The packaging leaked on me and I didn't care for the click dispenser. Oh well.

I could put pigs to shame with the amount I sweat, whether I'm just nervous or working or nervously working. Regular deodorant/antiperspirant just doesn't cut it for me, I have to use something heavy duty. Thankfully I haven't developed cysts like some of the reviewers have. I think my skin over all has reacted quite well to this deodorant. As long as I keep sweating profusely, I'll keep using this deodorant.

Wish I had tried this stuff sooner. Regular deodorants just don't cut it for me. It was embarassing for me to catch little whifs of odor throughout the day knowing I tried to prevent it. With this one I don't have to reapply during the day nor are my shirts faked with white streaks. I put it on at night and in the morning after my shower.

Like other reviewers have posted this can cause little cysts in your underarm area. Initially I thought this worked really well, but after a few days of using this I noticed little sore bumps in my armpit. I've used other Dove deodorants and never had this problem before. Wouldn't recommend using.

I sweat. A lot. I've been using the citrus scented version of this product for about 2 years now because its the only deoderant that can hold back my body's need to constantly perspire like Niagra Falls. I apply it once in the morning and once before my workout, but not at night like the package directs because I believe in giving my pits some time to rest. I've never had any issues with it. It dries quickly. The only thing that I guess is kind of annoying is that it stays on so well I have trouble washing it off well enough sometimes to shave, but a little extra soap gets the job done.

Also, as far as the breast cancer conerns go, The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), does not have any evidence or research data that ingredients in underarm antiperspirants or deodorants cause cancer. Read more about it here: http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/Risk/AP-Deo

I don't know maybe because I don't sweat a lot it didn't work for me, but this product made me wet under my arms all day because the product never dried. It also could have been that the product is a gel and not powder, I don't know but I didn't like it at all. It was expensive too which was very disappointing.

I LOVE THIS DEODORANT!
i always felt like i sweated more than most girls so i finally forced my mom to buy this even though it was more expensive than other deodorants. it's amazing! i put it on after i get out of the shower at night and 90% of the time i'm completely dry until i shower the next night. The only time it isn't completely effective in keeping my underarms dry is when i'm working out (obviously), when i'm wearing an extremely thick sweater, or when im really really nervous about something. i'm one of the only ones at school who doesn't carry deodorant in their bag and reapply during the day. and here i thought sweated more than most girls!

When I first got this product I thought it was amazing! It's super effective. It took me a while to realize that the cysts I was getting were from me using Dove clinical protection deodorant! I had NEVER gotten cysts in the past.

When I switch back to a regular deodorant, they go away.

This is scary as another reviewer said. I don't normally buy natural beauty products but yesterday, I decided to get a new deodorant that has an entirely natural formulation. My sister has been telling me that some studies suggest that there's a link between breast cancer and the use of deodorant that contain aluminum.

My new deodorant is quie pricy and I dont think it will be as effective as the dove one but it's safe to use and that makes me feel great :)

Take care everyone

I wouldn't normally write a review about an antiperspirant but I feel compelled to because of my experience with this product.

I started to use this during the summer this year because I live in a very hot and humid state. I am not a person who sweats a lot but I wanted extra dryness protection because when you're in the sun it's inevitable.

One more about a month into using this product I got an underarm cyst the size of a pea that soon because the size of an almond. It was sore and painful and I went to my doctor who put me on antibiotics.

I had never in my life had an underarm cyst before. I continued to use the product and to my surprise, I kept getting cysts under both arms, in different places. Sometimes they would get painful and other times they would seem to grow and then go away.

I finally realized it was the DOVE antiperspirant. I switched to Secret's clinical strength and have not had the cysts since.

It kind of freaks me out to think that an antiperspirant could cause cysts...what kind of ingredients are in there that are making this happen?

I enjoyed the scent of the product and it was nice overall, but I can't use it because of the cysts.

I feel like I sweat more than most girls do, so I was really excited when I finally got around to buying one of these deodorants.

These are a little more expensive than your average deodorant. I got mine at Fry's Food & Drug for around $8. Most deodorants/antiperspirants are sold as is, but these actually come in their own little boxes. I usually prefer solid sticks, but this is actually a cream that you have to twist up with the dial to dispense through the little holes at the top.

The directions say to apply two clicks for each armpit, but after 2 clicks, sometimes you don't get the product to come out through all the holes, so you might need to turn the dial a little bit more. Directions also say to apply before bedtime. I can understand why people might think this is weird... "I'm just gonna wash it off in the shower the next morning!" But actually, your skin is more absorbent when you sleep, so the product will be completely absorbed by the next morning. Thus, you don't have to worry about washing it off. This is a good idea when it comes to applying pretty much any deodorant/antiperspirant stick. You're then supposed to apply another coat that morning.

I've used this for a few days now, and so far, I've been pretty happy with it. I work out sometimes, and I noticed my pits didn't feel that wet (if wet at all) by the end of my run.

I didn't notice any weird side effects or irritation, even after shaving.

I think it's really important to do the pre-bedtime application. I feel like it makes the product work much more effectively this way. Would repurchase.

I run almost everyday for work and I must admit, I do get a bit sweaty gross. Well I apply this stuff on at night like the box suggests. In the morning I wear my regular deodorant and through a 3mile run, I am actually pretty dry. I don't have to worry about the gross sweat marks on my sleeves, which is great. I hate to sweat and this stuff curbs any smell you get in the underarms.

I've gone through many deos and antiperspirant in my time and this one seems to be my best fit. Keeps me the driest of any I've used and odor is not a problem except in extreme conditions. It doesn't irritate my skin or stain my clothing. Nice light scent. Price is a bit high for the amount of product you get but since it works I'll keep going back to it

Didn't keep me dry and the scent wasn't all that great. I got the big value size one (it cost me $12!) because that was the only one I could get at Wal-mart. After a couple months, I started to see this greasy liquid on the bottom of the deodorant. There was only a teeny amount of the liquid, so I didn't think anything of it and I just continued to use it. Fast forward about 2 months later and there's that same greasy liquid is there -- except this time, there's a teaspoon of it inside the bottom! It was still leaking through the dial so I trashed it. I am never buying this again. It worked fine as a deodorant but it's a terrible antiperspirant.

This AP/D works extremely well for me. I've gone through tons of deodorants, antiperspirants, and AP/D's, and this is the best I've tried so far.

I believe the best way to use it is the way they recommend in the little pamphlet in the box: Apply two clicks before bed. I find that it doesn't ruin my clothes like Secret Clinical Strength did (it would leave stains no matter what I did) and it really does keep me dry all throughout the next day. Sometimes when I know I'm going to be doing something to induce lots of sweating, like playing sports or going to a theme park on a hot day, I'll apply an extra click the next morning for good measure. I'm not sure if that actually does anything, but either way I do stay dry!

My only complaints would be that it's more expensive than other AP/D's (this is justified, for me, by its effectiveness) and the fact that the packaging is a little misleading. You see a giant box on the shelf at the store, and the dispenser that the product is in is much larger than the actual tube inside containing the product. It looks like you're getting a lot more than you actually are. In my opinion, though, the pro's FAR outweigh the con's and I'll continue to use this product.

I work a fairly physical job and wear a light coloured uniform. I find Dove clinical protection anti-perspirant awesome.
It controls wetness 100% for me except in the most extreme circumstances and same with odour protection. Lasts me for 24 hours and beyond.
I find the scent is light and fresh and I don't notice it except when applying.
It does not irritate my skin at all (unlike dri-chlor and other chemist only night timepreperations which produce that burning deep itch that makes it impossible to sleep)
The first time I used it I wasn't sure about the thick creamy consistency but it absorbs quickly and doesn't feel sticky.
After 5 to 10 mins drying time it doesn't leave marks on my clothes.
It works equally well for me applied morning or night.
I'm happy to pay $13 AUD as I find it to be a brilliant product.
My male housemate uses and loves this product also.
I don't have a bad thing to say about it!

I've got the cucumber green tea scent. The scent may be my favorite part of this deoderant; it's not overpowering, but just enough.

Feels nice on my skin; I have extremely sensitive skin, and the moisturizers/creamy consistency are perfect for me.

Never leaves anything on my clothes or skin, dries clear and quickly, gentle but works...

ideal deoderant for me. <3

I just got Dove CP in the wild rose scent. This is my new favorite deodorant. It's better than anything I've ever used for protection against odor, and it smells really nice in my opinion. My favorite deodorant would be Tom's of Maine Lavender but it really doesn't prevent odors very well. Now I don't know what do with the extra tubes of the old dove deo I have. This is way better than the origional dove deodorants. I also like that it goes on silky smooth, like a lotion, instead of being like a thick, chalky paste.

This is the best clinical strength womans deodorant I've tried. The scents are not too strong, it keeps me dry (and I sweat easily), and the protection does not wear off throughout the day. It is definitely worth the $8

I used this deodorant for about 6 weeks and the first couple of weeks it worked great. After that, I noticed that it wasn't keeping me as dry as it was when I first started using it. When I used the last of it, it started leaking on the bottom and it got all over the place. Also, this deodorant was really expensive. I don't think I will be buying this again. The regular Dove deodorant works almost as good and it's a lot cheaper.
