I absolutely love this duo. The colors in this duo I believe look great on every skin tone, depending how one applies it. The darker blue color is so gorgeous. It is so vibrant and rich in color. While the lighter blue is just as beautiful. I have a problem with lighter blues looking to tacky on my eyes. However, this lighter blue isn't too light that it over takes my eyes and isn't too dark that it takes away from the darker blue. This is a great combo in colors. Both the colors play off each other very well. I would def buy this again!!

This is the first mac eye shadow I ever bought, so this may be the product that has started my all out addiction. I love the deep blue and the lighter ble green match, I feel the colors match nicely and work well for all kinds of looks. I rate this product only a three, though, because it doesn't stay very well. After just a few hours, my eyes become a blue-gray mess. Maybe i'm applying it wrong or it could be the humid weather, but it doesn't seem to have the staying power of other shadows i've sinced purchased.

I was so impressed by the dark blue color, that i bought it. The MES is still fine, but blue does not suit me at all.

This is a gorgeous MES duo of blues. I was initially attracted to this product because of the dark blue, but the light side is very nice, too.
Very creamy shadow duo with a powder finish. Both blues have a pearlescent finish. The dark blue has this gorgeous deep shade to it, like a deep cobalt blue jewel.
The pigmentation is wonderful and I really like layering the deep blue for a darker and deeper shade.
I love it!:D Great quality product.

Here is an EOTD of this MES on my eyelid over UD's Primer Potion.

i love this duo: super versatile, funky but not scary, and blue always makes any eye color pop.
i looove the marbled side for an tearduct highlight and the matte blue for the crease. if im feeling more bold that day i'll use it on the lid and just take it almost up to the brow bone...bold and beautiful. ;)
plus it's super pigmented

I saw this used in a youtube video from when it first came out and wanted it so bad. To this day I am not a MAC person by any means so OMG was I glad that I happened to look at their website to see that this was brought back!! I really love it :-) Super pigmented and it looks so beautiful I amost didn't want to use it! I'm really big on coordinating colors so the two colors in this duo are just amazing together, I couldn't stop looking at my eyes. This is one of my favorite eyeshadows that I own..Maybe I'll stop in MAC more often! As others are saying..They blend great with eachother (light blue on lid, dark blue in crease and outer V). I am in love! Very bold and stand out-ish, just the way I like it!

This duo is one of the BEST ones. I wanted it ever since I saw it and I finally got it a couple weeks ago. The dark blue side is AMAZING. You don't even need alot for it to really pop on your eyes. I dab it like once and I have enough to make it look like I packed alot on. The lighter side is also perfect. Not to good to put on your brow bone or anything, but if you wanted to pair this together with the dark blue in the crease you have an awesome pair to work with. I think this color is discontinued because I got it at one of those cosmetic outlets that carry all the discontinued products from the higher end brands, but if I could buy 80 more of this bad boys, I so would.

This duo is to DIE for. I love the electric blue and the frosty violet-grey blue upper portion. Both are so versatile to my make up wardrobe. I'm also someone that likes to collect blue make up, so I had to have it. The electric blue is dupable if you search for a bit, but the lighter shade is more unique. I also really love the appearance of the product in the pan. It really looks like an image you'd see of a clear blue horizon through a telescope. I'm so glad they brought this baby back. I'm going to go order two more. ^_^

Oh how I love this shadow. The colors pretty much show up how they are in the pot, and the dark blue is BEAUTIFUL and the lighter one is an almost grey-blue. I think the light blue is too dark for a highlight though, I mostly use it as a lid color, and the dark color in the outer corner, or the crease.

This was definitely the most unique out of the whole collection. A vibrant blue with a light blue veined side. Gorgeous colors, not practical for everyday, but still such a great piece to own!

I love the appearance of this shadow! The colour combination is very attractive.

The solid dark blue side is a very bold colour, however a good base is needed to make the blue pop, or else it'll just look dark and not even half as bluish as it looks in the pan.
On the other hand, the marbled light blue side gives a silverish light blue colour with hints of lavender due to the purple swirls the shadow has. I'm asian so the colours don't suit me very well but its definitely still wearable.

This shadow is an interesting one to have but I'm definitely not gonna use it very often and the colour are pretty bright.

Mineral eyeshadows also tend to have alot of fallout so a good brush is needed for packing on the colour.

Overall a good buy to add to the collection, just not a colour you'll need for everyday.

Collection: Electro Flash 2008
Website Description: Silvery pale blue with deep blue and silver veining/Bright blue mono.
Personal Details: NW15-20, pigmented lips, naturally blonde hair.
Color pre-application: In the pot, the eyeshadow is split into two halves; a dark navy blue with blue reflects, and a randomly veined second half that has a color selection of medium teal, dark teal, silvery teal (very close to MAC's Brill eyeshadow that was discontinued), and a medium-light violet with purple glitter (think MAC's Iris accents softsparkle eye pencil).
Color post-application: All of the colors all hold true to what you see in the pot, which is so exciting! the mono-blue half of the pot shows up well without a base, but with a base (such as UD Primer potion) the color holds more true. To get the best color payoff, I would apply of MAC's Paint Pot in Electro Sky (LE from McQueen Collection), which if anything, intensifies the blue.
Pros: A GREAT variety of eyeshadow colors for the price, very well pigmented, applies evenly and easily with little cheek fallout.
Cons: A bold color that wouldn't make it into anyone's everyday regimen, could get stuck with terrible veining pattern that doesn't allow you the full range of color variation to play with.
Price: $17.50
Dupes: For the Mono Blue side of the shadow - Blue Storm (Blue Storm Collection), Star by Night (Starflash Collection)
For the other colors: Brill (discontinued), Gulf Stream (Cool Heat Collection), Mancatcher (Lure Collection), Lotusland (Starflash Collection), Moonflower (Floral Fantasy Collection), Surreal (Regular Collection).

Sea & Sky is very bright when it is in the pot. When swatch it is equally bright as well. But the good thing for bright colors is they can be sheer out easily too. So if you don't take bright colors, you can still give it a try. Love the shimmers in the e/s.

Limited edition shadow duo from the ElectroFlash collection released July 2008. Retails for $17.50 and comes in the larger black MAC flip top pot. Sea & Sky is the blue duo. A combination of hot electric vibrant blue and a swirly blue shade. My swirls have a lot of dark blue to it so it does on quite dark. like a navy teal blue shade. I cant use mine as a highlighter at all since it has so many dark blue veining. The blues are nicely pigmented and quite pretty but very LOUD colors. Overall, looks pretty with brown eyes but not for the faint of heart.

To start things off. I do NOT like blue e/s...at all....I have maybe 3 in my collection, and have purchased all of them because the color itself was beautiful, but looked awful on me...

That all being said...this color is the exception to my no blue rule...This is such a beautiful, true royal blue color (the darker side) and a lovely light blue-ish teal color on the other half, you can't help but notice it in the display. When applied, the darkside to me is a lovely vibrant navy on my skin (NC35)....when applied wet, it is true to color...the lighter side serves its purpose as a lovely highlighting color to use along with the darker side....

Overall, the packaging is fine....the price isn't too bad...I would pick this up in a heart beat again...its stunning and unique. Don't pass it by...even if you aren't a blue fan...i think this may be your exception as well!

Once again, MAC has rocked my world with another blue shadow! What makes this different? Well .. it's brighter and bolder than their other blues (Flashtrack, Deep Truth, etc.) .. but still deep enough to create an incredibly smokey blue eye. The marbled side morphs into this gorgeous light teal frosted goodness that seriously rocks brown eyes. My fav way to use this is with the marbled side all over as a wash, and the deeper cobalt in the outer V, and smudged under the lower lashline. Strikingly beautiful, and as always .. LE, so definitely RUN to get this duo if you're a fan of blues, and feel compelled to add yet another variation of blue to your arsenal!

This is the first mineralize duo I set eyes on for this collection and immediately told them I'm buying it. There's no blue like the dark shade...it's so tempting, so easy to be drawn to. I can't wait to wear this in many different ways. I love the silvery baby blue side, it's not bad at all and of course the gorgeous deep vibrant metallic blue..my gosh is it amazing! I will do many smoky looks with this. This is probably going to be the 1st duo of this coll. to sell out.

I agree with the previous reviewer before me. When I saw this color, I immediately knew that I wanted it. The blue mono color is a gorgeous blue, perfect for shadowing, lining, or a wash of color on the lid.

I applied a swatch of the blue mono to my wrist and found that it just as easily wiped off with a tissue, which says something about its staying power, even though I applied eyeshadow primer. I had to reapply after about 8 hours to regain that pop of color.

It's definitely a buildable, you can make it as sheer or bold as you wish. You can apply it wet for an ever bolder color. I think when applied sheer and mixed with the marbled color on the other half it kind of look purplish/navy, a very attractive color.

I think it goes best with peach or pink blushes. Today I tried it with Sonic Vibe lipglass and the two complement each other very well. I can't wait to see what else I can pair it with.

The mixed side comes out to be a pale sky blue, nice for highlighting or pairing with the blue color or by itself. I haven't seen a color like it before.

Even though its staying power leaves me wanting, I hope I have convinced you enough to consider getting this color. It's beautiful.

For reference I'm NC35.
