I have this in Dark Brown and love it. It is so creamy and soft, I have never had any problems with sharpening it. It does smudge great and runs a little, I end up fixing it in the outer corners of my eyes at least once a day. I use it on the inner part of the under eye and it lasts forever and I love the dark dark brown color it has. I have always used Estee lauder soft smudge brown but now this has taken it's place. This is a great eyeliner would love to have it in black..

I really liked this product at first, but when I needed to sharpen my pencil the kohl broke off continuously. I've wasted my money on this product.

If what you are looking for is a great black soft khol for a smokey eye look only you will love this one (then I would give it a 5 in overall rating)! The pencil doesn't tug and is very creamy. Unfortunately it runs a lot. So not good to use to just line your eyes with...which is what I wanted (a versatile creamy pencil with good staying power but that I would be able to smudge for a smokey eye look as well). The smudger at the end is great so I kept it but I purchased another khol for lining my eyes on days where I am not looking for a smokey look (Rimmel Khajal Khol...best eyeliner ever).

I like this pencil because it is very soft when you put it on and is very easy to smudge HOWEVER it doesn't last very long...not sure if I will buy again. Maybe just for the smudging part.
