I bought the test size jar of this from Sephora so I could try it with my HD MUFE foundation. I really didn't notice a huge difference between this finishing powder and any other powder I use over the top of liquid foundation. I have pretty oily skin and this really didn't provide a superior finish to BareMineral Mineral Veil, or my MAC powder. I also really dislike the packaging of the sample product, it is so small that it makes it impossible to get any powder brush into the lid to swirl around the powder.

No one loves a shiny face. This is my favorite setting powder. Unlike other setting powders, its fine, sheer, and colorless. It's awesome for photography or just everyday use. I used this product on top of my foundation for my 9 nights Caribbean cruise and it was awesome. I liked that it did not fall everywhere when trying to use because the holes were small. A little goes a long way.

I'm just realizing that this product is the reason I liked the MUFE HD liquid foundation so much. I bought the HD liquid foundation and this powder, and in combination the two worked beautifully - imparting a fabulous finish. Over time, I got lazy about using the powder, since the jar is a bit messy and I'm not one for powder anyway.

Without the powder, I started thinking I didn't like my MUFE HD liquid foundation as much, since it would seem slide off my face after a few hours, especially in hot summer weather.

Turns out it's this powder that makes just about any liquid foundation look great and stay on a whole lot longer. I would recommend this powder, along with the MUFE kabuki type brush that goes with it. It's a "must have" in my book, and will work beautifully with your favourite foundation, giving it staying power, and providing a nice soft finish, without that overly dry, powdery look.

This stuff is better than any mineral finishing powder and it's better than mineral foundations - it's that good.

Having said that - I'd agree that it can be a wee bit messy in that sometimes too much powder comes out of the jar. In spite of this - I'd recommend this powder as one of the best loose powders I've tried, and I've tried quite a few. It will make your favourite liquid foundation stay on a lot longer, and impart a softer finish than many other powders out there.

Worth the money, and you'll want to spring for the MUFE brush that comes with it. That brush is amazing.

As for liquid foundation - I think this powder is what's "sealing the deal" so to speak. If you've bought a liquid foundation that's just a tiny bit too glowy or dewy etc. - the MUFE HD Microfinishing Powder will fix all that without ruining the HD'ish and/or "photo ready" properties of your favourite liquid makeup.

I think this powder and brush are the two key elements that make a lot of liquid foundations on the market work better, last longer and without that awful "overly powdered" look either.

I'm kind of torn on this product. After the great reviews I saw on the site, I decided to give it a try. It's quite expensive ($30 Cdn), but I imagine it's probably going to last a while since I don't need much (and too much would make my skin look too ghost-y anyway), which could offset the cost.

On the plus side, it's done a fabulous job of staving off the oiliness in my skin. My skin looks matte by the time I finish work, and I don't see any shine. That being said, it's a total pain to apply! This stuff gets everywhere, and I do wonder if it's safe to breathe since it's pretty unavoidable. I also wear contacts and find that I have to finish my foundation and powder before putting in my lenses. The powder's so fine, that bothers my eyes sometimes, so I try to keep the closed when applying the powder.

For a few years now, I've been using Boots loose powder and am quite happy with it. The price is nice and it's almost as good as the MUFE powder (I get a little more shine with Boots). So, I'll probably keep using the jar of MUFE I bought, but won't buy a new one once it runs out.

OMGosh!

I just got this the other night....
I was wearing my MAC Studio Tech foundation...and had been wearing it for 7 hours already on my oily skin - I went to Sephora and asked the girl about MUFE products that might be "must haves" with the intention to buy ALL MAT Primer...

Anyhow, I stumbled upon this powder - saw the Allure Readers Choice sticker and what not so I got intrigued and I had to try it! This powder REFRESHED my whole face, my makeup looked amazing, like new life had been given to it after this was applied. I got a sample and I bought the full size jar and seriously a TEEEEENY TINY BIT goes so far - I have been applying it with my MAC 187 brush on top of my foundation and it looks really great! it isnt letting the oil soak through like other powders.

I too have the ELF one, it doesnt compare. Nor does the MAC, Prep & Prime white powder - it is good and I bought 2 the week they came out but I wish I had discovered this first - this MUFE in a compact form would be amazing!!!

anyhow, I have 2 prep and primes but I dont know how to do tradesies on here but I would be willing to put them up. This new microfinish HD powder is my new HG! Love love love it! I cant say enough good things, my skin is so oily and it is HARD to find products that work alongside that factor even with good primers and what not....

LOVE this product!! it really helps to control my oily skin and keeps my shine at a very minimal state. this is product help to contribute to keeping my face matte all day with very little touch ups. Before this product i would have to constantly blot with blotting paper then do my touch ups at least 4-7X a day. But, NOW, i only need to touch up once or twice and thats it!! ALSO, because it helps to control my oily skin, i had no break outs. INSTEAD, my skin had cleared up since and i had not have any pimples since it keeps me matte for a long time.

Never tried another product like this but I've heard from many people that using this over concealer will make it stay on better and longer. I have shadowy eyes so undereye concealer is really important for me. I've been using Make Up Forever waterproof concealer which is really good and gives a lot of coverage, for a few months already. But once I used this powder over it, the effects were much stronger, in the past few days my concealer stays on longer and my undereye circles are almost completely covered more than ever before, you can barely tell I have any at all, especially when I first apply the concealer and powder over it. It's like a miracle worker for me.
I don't really need face powder but I tried a bit of it on bare skin and it gave me a nice luminescent glow, great for pictures. Just be careful not to put too many coats or it will turn whiteish in pictures, especially on your eyelids. But all in all it is great.
I really don't like the packaging because once you open it it gets messy and you can't re-gather it into the pot, but you just have to be careful with that, not to spill it, but the product itself works really well and even the 15 dollar tube isn't as small as it looks online and seems like it will last a very long time.

I tried this in a generous sized sample form and loved it! It really provided a soft focus matte, but not desert dry, finish to my makeup. It left my t-zone looking matte longer than other powders yet never looked cakey on. But the price bugged me, so after reading reviews here I got the ELF version, and sine then also Laura Mercier's and Pure Luxe's Eraser, and hands down this was better.

I was scared to buy this after reading all the reviews but I am so glad I did. I have super oily skin with some marks and redness. I also have an olive complexion. I think the important part to remember about this powder is how much you use. Too little and it doesn't work and too much will leave you with a whitish cast. I tap a little into the cap, swirl my powder brush and buff into my skin. I am able to wear this with just concealer and blush and my face looks darn near flawless. I even wore to this the gym and looked good afterwards. Over my mineral foundation this works well too. I'm glad I made the investment. Although it's pricey you only need a little and the jar should last a long time.

Packaging is el crappo - I have considered applying in the nude as it just gets EVERYWHERE in its crazy little, impractical pot, but it makes me look fabulous! It's like looking at yourself after a couple of glasses of Shiraz - soft, blurry, and beer-goggle-esque.

FABULOUS! I love this powder. It's so fine that it truly is "invisible" and the silica does a smashing job at imparting a smooth, soft-focus look. It does a great job at keeping oil at bay, and one of the best things about it is that you can apply it over ALL of your makeup (blush, eyeshadow, whatever) because it is transparent. A little goes a loooong way, so even the half size jar will last a long, long time.

Ok, I know I raved about this when reviewing a foundation or other, so I'm sure people will think someone put a quarter in me and hit the 'replay' button. But I MUST give this powder its own review.

I used this on several fdts., and it always made me look soft-focused, and kept the oilies at bay. But I found that it gives the very best results when used on "emollient" foundations. I tried this on Laura Mercier's new Smooth Cream Foundation, and on Maybelline's new Fit Me. Now let me tell you that when I use either of those fdts. on their own, I am an oil slick from the get go. If I put any other loose powder on them, it takes a little longer for me to "glow": like an hour (rolleyes).

But when I put this little gem on either of the above-mentioned fdts., they last hours AND I don't look cakey, dry, powdery, lined, or tired. I tried it several times and I always got the same excellent result. I blot my T-zone after 3 hours, but more out of habit than real need. Since it's so bloody expensive, I will reserve this powder for creamy foundations, which I think I will be wearing more often as I live in an bone-dry, place, and oil-absorbing fdts., tend to make me look a bit too dry at the end of the day (I think I'll reserve those for summer, which is also dry, here, but very very hot).

This is really a wonderful powder. I strongly recommend it, especially for oily skins.

I'm not so much of a loose powders kinda of gal - despite the oily complexion I have. That's just because I could never find one that would live up to its promises. Until I tried MUFE microfinishing powder. This powder not only gives me the 'airbrushed' look, it also somewhat keep my oiliness at bay. Makes my skin looks flawless (and believe me, my complexion is far from flawless). A little goes a long way, too! Definitely an HG!

At first I didn't love this. Actually, I didn't even like it. I was very unimpressed with it. That was until I transfered it into an empty regular sized BE MV container. i bought the travel sized version of this product. I really needed a finishing powder as I'd run out of mineral veil and Sephora was out. So, I figured I'd give it a try after I saw all the glowing reviews. Originally, I wasn't impressed but because I think I was using the wrong brush. I had used the red Sephora grab n go brush (the powder end) and it just didn't work for me. I like to use big fluffy brushes for powder application and this wasn't cutting it. Because I was so strapped for time, I ended up sticking with it and was really not impressed. I didn't think it was any better or worse than my MV, just more expensive. But as the days went on, I used it with my regular powder brush and felt the same, until today. I have been applying it after moisturizing and applying Colorstay foundation, but before any bronzer or blush or any of my other makeup. Today I finally got to look at my face and reliazed that it seemed to even my out and made my blush/bronzer look a lot better against my really flawed skin. The thing that sold me was that today was a really stressful horrible day in Court (I'm a probation officer). After spending over 4 hours in a really hot, stuffy, humid, courtroom, I got to my car and looked at my face and was shocked. My face wasn't greasy or oily and still looked fresh, even in the sunlight! This never happens. Obviously it didn't look as good as it looks when you first put your makeup on, but I didn't look like an oil slick. Instead, I had that...dare I say..."dewey look" that I've been attempting to emulate for the last year with no avail thanks to my stupid pores, dumb acne scars, and lame oily face. Anyway, the packaging for the travel $15 version sucks. There's only like 3 holes and the lid is tiny, so transfering it is a must. However, it's a few dollars cheaper than my MV and even though it's less product (I think) I end up using less because I don't have to reapply ten times a day and I don't have to apply as much. There are only two downsides

1. It's REALLY powdery. Every time I open it there's a big puff of white smoke and that stuff gets everywhere.

2. It's a little expensive for the amount you get, but I guess at the end of the day it's worth it!

I will definitely continue to buy this stuff! I must say after today, I am hooked.

I love this product. I especially use it to set my under eye area. I apply my concealer then apply this. Does not look cakey or drying and It doesn't add color so it doesn't change the color of my foundation or concealer.

I love how this makes me look airbrushed and close to flawless. It reduces the look of my large pores (especially when used with Clinique's pore minimizer) and gets rid of any shininess/oiliness. I find that I get more of the soft focused, flawless look when I use a powder puff as opposed to a powder brush. When I use a brush, it just doesn't seem to do the same. Nonetheless I will be repurchasing again when I run out.

I am fan of powders, have Le Clerc, Dior Lace, MAC, etc..But this is the best powder I've ever had. It is unbelievably long-lasting, stays on and keeps the perfect airbrushed look for at least 8 hours.and is invisible. I am not very keen on the jar, to use it , I have to either sprinkle some in the lid and swipe the brush in it or just dust some directly on the brush. The result is worth the inconvenience, though :)

Great setting powder that works well to fill in fine lines and leave you looking FLAWLESS!

Lokks sorta "ghostly" when first applied but within minutes you will look airbrushed!!!!

I wouldn't but again because there is no way I could use all this goodness up!

I bought this from Sephora after reading all the great reviews here on MUA and listening to the youtube MU gurus. I really wanted to like this powder but== I am sorely disappointed!!

After application, don't touch your face b/c it leaves a greyish film that lifts to the touch. My daughter kissed me and her lips were imprinted on my cheeks b/c the powder lifted off. Also noticed that this powder settles into my fine lines making it more visible. Another problem... it did NOT keep my oilies @ bay, in fact it magnified as I looked like a disco ball after about 3 hours.

I tried different application techniques--- applying it with a light dusting at first then I tried buffing it in. Still the same results. I hope I can return it to Sephora, but I'm not sure since I bought it a week ago and I've used it.

I live in Singapore and the climate is very hot and humid. Make up tend to melt under sweat and sebum. However after applying this over my make up, I find that make up really stays and helps to prevent the sticky feel. The most important, it prevents my make up from looking like mud in the ridiculous climate.

Weird, I find that I sweat less on my face after applying this? Anyway it's my hg finishing powder. I love it cause it's mineral, it does not clog my skin or give me any reations, feel absolutely safe using this. Been using this for about 2 months.

The powder seem to disperse int a big fluff whenever I swipe it with my brush. That's a bit of wastage.
